You showed that the camera will go back to a preset position after you manipulate its position but will it also go back to a preset position after it has track somebody on its own without you being involved?
With the wyze cam pan v3, you can set waypoints where it will auto rotate to every few seconds... Then you go into detection settings and set the detection zone on whichever waypoint it is showing at the time. Once you set a detection zone, the camera will default to that waypoint as it's "home" view.
Can this camera be set stationary? Where it only focuses on an item? I had two of them outside of my apartment because of my car being vandalized. An Apartment manager told me I can't have it there and recording people. Only if it is on my car. Can I do this?

I bought one of these cams on Jan. 27, 2024 for my daughter. It says has night color vision. Her cam stays in black and white. We turned on the IR setting and still in black and white. We reset it and still does not show color night vision. Any suggestions? Thank you for the video very informative.
Color Night Vision does require a little bit of light to work. Basically, the camera recreates colors when it can tell what the colors should be. Add a small night light to the space and you might find things better

@@TechYourLife1 The Wasserstein Solar Panel does have a battery in them. It works for the Wyze outdoor V3 that has no battery in the camera like this Pan V3. I will have to try it and see if the amperage is good for this Cam Pan V3. Thank you for your response and your review is very helpful.

While you can control the speed when you direct where it goes, the auto pan feature is a default speed that's a bit too fast. Is this adjustable or will it be patched later on? Still a good camera but that feature would make it so much better.

im not techy, but what i learned through my internet provider tech help (Jason that works at Spectrum) he had me enter the old internet password when setting up the camera. Jason had me all hooked up and running in under 3 minutes.
@@TechYourLife1 after hours and hours of trying to figure it out a tech guy from Spectrum helped me. he said to try using the old password from the internet set up. 2 minutes later the camera was hooked up. who'da thought an old password!? this might be something to add to the arsenal of tricks to hook up a camera :)

It wouldn’t scan, and under that I saw it will not take 5G cell phone. That’s weird. Most people have 5G now.

Wyze has a PC monitoring site now, but you'll need a subscription to get access to it. It's still in beta

How is it at accounting for events when it is is pan/scan mode? I am thinking the cams motion would cause issues with motion based event detection.
I haven't tested that thoroughly Brian, so I can't really tell you. I do imagine that hinders detection and might even block it during that time

No I don't believe so. There's no battery on board to charge anyways and solar power can dip in terms of provided amperage

Look up how to do a factory reset. I believe you just hold the setup button while plugged in for a while

Most functions with the Wyze cam will require the internet, but the local movement will occur on the device.
I’m having an issue I rotate my camera a full 180 then try to go back another 180 and it gets stuck

Mine says motion detected when the notification comes up. But it’s not the right time. It goes for shadows.
You could take down sensitivity, but if it continues, you might wanna try a month of the AI detection features with cam plus
