I’m not sure many people believed Doc was every very good over time - the media for whatever reason kept pushing the narrative that he is an elite coach. The guy couldn’t make simple adjustments a decade ago and still continuing. His competitors are looking forward to playing against them to get a W.

I want to see Adrian Griffin get another head coaching job in the NBA. I think many of us are taking this for granted, it's not easy to win 30 games in the NBA by the All-Star break (mid-season). If anything, the team is showing us right now that it wasn't easy.
This is an amazing essay. What an excellent job at encapsulating a really major struggle for so many Black people. It really hits me in terms of the concept of forgiveness, both from the standpoint of within the Black community and from outside it.
