These are my thoughts towards the firing of Adrian Griffin:
First impression, the commotion leading to the resignation of his top assistant coach whom by the way he didn’t move to find a replacement until 2 weeks ago.
Next, he has had multiple players calling out his coaching style, attention to detail, and getting effort from players. There are videos of players drawing up play during games which happens but when it becomes heavily reliant, that's not a good tell.
Furthermore, Dame and Giannis had to play absolute hero ball to beat some of these bad teams recently, so the record of 31-13 is fundamentally inflated by All Star player heroics.
I am no fan of Doc Rivers but I sure as well know there aren't many other seasoned coaches available at this moment.
I'd take new and good over seasoned and bad.

Agreed. There just aren't no coaches out there available with recent championship experience. Best options would be an assistant off a multi-championship team like Warriors, Spurs, Heat. But Bucks say they want to win now and not a rookie coach who has championship experience. No one else is out there other than Doc.

When I listened to Acho’s argument about Doc’s resume being worse than Giannis and Dame it actually contradicted himself. Doc has 1 Chip=Giannis and Dame combined 1 Chip. Doc has been to the conference finals 3 times=Giannis and Dame combined 3 conference finals appearances. So if anything Acho underlined that Doc is as good as the players he’s inheriting.
Yeah, that one threw me off. I'm not one to defend Doc, but Dame ain't done a thing team-wise. And I like Dame. But yeah, it was a weird comparison.

He is also taking the football mindset where they say the coach has to be at least as good as the best player. Basketball is a bit different. And he uses GOAT level players and coaches to make his case, rather than all the next-tier people involved.
Doc did that in 24yrs of coaching. Giannis has done that within like the past 5yrs. Just strange for a organization that says they want to win now to choose a coach who hasn't won anything in 16yrs. However, there are no other coaches on the market with a winning background as head coach at least.
I saw a article earlier, that the Bucks still have to pay Bud and Griffin, so they have 3 head coaches on their payroll.

I've been over Doc for a few years now. I wasn't even looking forward to him being ESPN broadcast this season. But for some reason this feels like a great hire for the Bucks and Doc.

Doc Rivers has to be a really good talker. He was consultant for the Bucks when they fired Griffith. And then hired him. From what i've read NBA coaches still make quite a bit of money even if they're fired because it's in their contracts. Watch Rivers coach the team and blame everybody else if something goes wrong. But he'll still make big money from that Bucks contract even if the team fires him somewhere down the road.

You guys are overthinking this. It's not about Doc Rivers. it's additional by subtraction, Adrian was clearly over his head, rubbing multiple people in the organization the wrong way. The Bucks realized their mistake early on and made a move to correct it. The players will determine if the Bucks win the championship, not Rivers.
