What were the factors? 1)Offensive power, batting and running, of this season is more massive than last year's with newcomer who founded 50/50 club. 2)Defensive one has been apparently worse than 2023 and it was so important and urgent issue then LAD got Tyler and Yossy, but loss was rather heavy and they've been suffering from unimaginable injuries this year. 3)Managerial issue is significant as well as former two. Think about Kersh case last year.
Not hating the Dodgers but the team ain't ready. Unless Shohei pitches when they need him, it ain't happening for them this season. I like the chances of Padres winning it all.

I very rarely agree with Plaschke. He has occupied the niche of negativity against the home teams for too long. Very rare that he has something positive to say. But today I agree with him.
