A new mod has recently come out for geometry dash which completley changes the game. In this video I dicuss why it should be allowed to be used in top play.You thought fps bypass changed the game? you should check this out.

this honestly feels like the fps bypass situation all over again, and i do hope the outcome is that this will be allowed or implemented into the vanilla game too, i really see no valid reason for rob to not want to add this
having used it myself for a bit i truly believe that the potential this mod has to revolutionize the games skill ceiling is beyond anything weve seen before and makes the game a lot more consistent, not to mention it also makes it miles more fair for those with lower end hardware which will allow a lot of players who may be limited by this to truly shine
add it to main game so mobile also gets it
if its hacking since its not part of vanilla gd then i guess using a texture pack is also hacking

This is a good video. I think my only criticism is lower the background audio a bit because sometimes your voice falls behind it. Other than that I like style of content. And I agree with everything said just allow the damn mod it’s fps bypass 2.0 basically lmaoo

Cool first vid 👌 i personally disagree but its cool to hear what the other side thinks about it and honestly i think both sides are valid in their own right, pointercrate doeent have to abide by the games rules if it really doesnt wanna, esp if rob for some reason doesnt add this to the main game

Right?! Do these people not realize that megahack providing advantages not available to vanilla players has been around for years? Suddenly reducing input delay is an issue now

At this point, RobTop adding it to vanilla would be less beneficial and more of just a solution to stop this stupid drama

For me, allowing or not the mod shouldn't even be a question because it's obviously cheating if you do it in the official game. However, since the Demon List is not affiliated with RobTop, there's no problem with them allowing stuff that goes against the original game. With that in mind, I think that if it ends up getting allowed, the list should just make a private server only for list levels, as using this mod there wouldn't be considered cheating because it is being done in a context where the mod is allowed. It's like playing a sport - if you want to change some rules because you think that it improves the playability, you would not be doing that on an official game or competition, because it goes against the rules. The same can be applied to GD.
I do acknowledge the potential of this mod, and 100% support its addition to the vanilla game tho.
I dont think using the normal servers matters since all rob can do is ban you from the star leaderboard which most list players dont care about, i dont think private server is necessary since you can just beat levels on a copy if you dont want to be leaderboard banned. a pointercrate private server would always be a good thing to have though.
@@GadoGD I didn't consider the copy thing because I don't know if the copies would need to be checked for a record to be accepted, which could make the process longer, but it's a good option as well.
We'll see what happens in the future...
@@geometrydashjumpy4802 beating levels is totally fine and has been fine for both pointercrate and the star leaderboard system and doesn't take any longer, I beat levels on copy myself :)
I overall completely agree, but theres a key factor I think you didn't mention.
If verifications with the mod aren't going to be rated by the mod team, then that brings up an entire slew of problems. We would essentially have to completely go against the insitution of the rate system and essentially totally secede from the rest of the community. I think thats why this should only be allowed as a mod if it has the popular support of the playerbase, similar to fps bypass.
If I had it my way though yeah I'd love it to have the same level of standardization that fps bypass did in 2.1
honestly, I think that the demonlist should move away from only allowing rated levels. The amount of times rhat perfectly fine levels have not been allowed to place due to them not being rated by robtop is too many. I think that a community approval/list mod decision on whether each unrated extreme is placed would work perfectly!!
@@GadoGD I think having unrated levels is something I only want if we really have to. The thing with keeping the rated levels standard is that it keeps the community a bit more unified.
I was for moving away from it in the case of something like the tidal wave situation where literally a popular top 1 wouldnt get rated. However once it got rated I took the stance that it should only be brought up if the rating system causes similar issues again.

@@GadoGD Afaik, robtop never officially endorsed Pointercrate (correct me if I’m wrong), which makes it no more official than any other list; it’s just the most popular
