Technical's argument is great. People put so much work into making a beautiful level, yet so few people actually get to appreciate them the way they're intended. Rob also clearly values decoration, which is probably why this argument might catch his attention.

Bloodbath on 20 FPS is beyond insanity. This shows how much the mod can change the game. If the mod gets added, the game will reach limits far above what was previously thought to be impossible. I have high hopes of this mod being allowed.

bloodbath beaten on 20fps is an absurd achievement, and this mod needs to be added to vanilla. this will forever even the playing field and im all for it.

As someone who sucks balls at the game at 60fps, this mod is an actual, literal game changer. Made the game so much more tolerable and suddenly now I can actually straight fly without issue
This. I struggled specifically with the ship with my 60hz monitor. FPS Bypass would help with that but came with it's own sets of problems. Now after trying this mod I actively use it since I can now actually play the game equivilant to my skill and what I can do, instead of relying on my hardware to be good enough so I can get a percentage of it out of the game.

@@p8geons233who cares though the game is 20 times more fun by being on "not truly 60fps" (also fps is the term for visualization for frames seen on your display not the calculations done per second. So it would actually be "not truly 60hz" 🤓)

THIS IS WHAT IVE BEEN SAYING. This is the most revolutionary feature, it’s ridiculous. I would not call it cheating at all. It’s basically 2.2’s version of fps bypass. Same deal.

The main difference between CBF and fps bypass is that fps bypass allowed for physics that were possible in vanilla gd, just with a different monitor. CBF allows for inputs that are not physically possible in vanilla gd in any form, which is why it is not allowed currently.
CBF should absolutely be in the vanilla game though, obviously.

I really hope that click between frames gets implemented someday into the official game.
This would also make the game more dependant on skill, as instead of clicking at the right time and crashing because your physics didn’t get calculated in time, or clicking at the wrong time and passing, it would now just depend an when you clicked instead of when it would be recalculated

Rhythm games in general have input device poll rate as the limiting factor on input precision. They don't let the game engine, refresh rate, or any such factors limit input precision. GD isn't a rhythm game, but why would we not follow the same standard?

You're a bit mistaken. While FPS bypass have an advantage players with high end PCs, only up to 360fps were allowed in demonlist(s). And from other point of view it's completely opposite - it allowed players with low refresh rates be almost as good as players with high refresh retes, which actually made the game less pay-to-win. Also much more players had PCs that could handle GD in 360fps(even if it was achieved with optimization mods or ULDM versions of levels), than PCs with high refresh rates(especially 360hz)
FPS bypass was at least able to be recreated in vanilla (using a better monitor). it is impossible to recreate CBF in vanilla without modding.

I literally see no downside in adding this mod into the game (other than the bugs with platformer) so I don't get why so many people are against it tbh. It literally makes the game fair across all devices.

100% agreed, adding this as an official feature in the game is the perfect solution, lets hope RobTop does it. I think it would also be better if the mod as a feature was limited to 1000 polling rate, that way we all play in the same conditions :D
And even if it wasn’t, the price of an 8k polling rate device is significantly less than a high end monitor, so even then it’s still better

leave it unlimited, imagine capping it at 125hz because we want to be "inclusive" with lower ends, we would have worsened the problem

So glad to see this brought back up. The past few weeks I was thinking I hope this mod doesn’t just get forgotten about. I feel this is urgent with the current splitting of the community into 2.1 private servers / vanilla 2.2. Good videos gentlemen, hopefully this can finally settle the age old issue of fps/physics.
We have to do something like the Tidal Wave rate thing, but in a peaceful and respectful way so Robtop listen to us.

I am also up for this mod to be added, it makes your gameplay to be more "controlled" in a certain way and more precise.
I was skeptical at the start but you guys explained it really well and this actually looks pretty cool
Thank you so much for bringing this topic. As a person who plays on a 60 Hz laptop I have always struggled to run levels. In 2.1 I used to not bypass fps and bypass tps instead which was a bit more viable. Once 2.2 dropped I was forced to use fps bypass which my laptop couldn't handle, laggin below 100 fps on most levels. This made me really struggle to continue playing levels hard for my skill range, making me spend a lot on every level I played since then. Once the mod dropped I started using it, turned off unlock fps going back to 60 and all my problem disappeared. I can now even run levels in full detail with no problems. And if added I wouldn't be surprised if people started beating levels Tartarus difficulty or above on mobile too. No one talks about mobile players, such a huge part of the community. Why they shouldn't be allowed to play hard levels? This mod is fantastic. Until it's not added in the vanilla game banning it is straight up disrespectfu for all the people that don't have nasa's pcs.

with this fixing so many problems that the community has had for years this would be one of the best things to happen to the game ever. with this mod less people would have to worry about accidently playing on a nerfed LDM/ULDM and also this would just straight up make the game more fair and fun.

As someone who has played this game on low end devices for my entire 9+ year career, it sometimes feels soul-crushing knowing I’m at a disadvantage and not able to reach my full potential as a player. Having this officially added will revolutionize the game and have it reach heights never thought possible.

I have used this mod for a week or two and before I wasnt able to if practice some of the medium or hard demons but after I downloaded everything just felt buttery smooth, wave and ship were so easy to control and straight fly was easy
this has changed my perspective on CBF
This is really good for me as a person who showcases, as it would give me cleaner macros, as well as a much better time botting. My computer lags when I have to record a video, and this would really help. It would help potato pc players, as well as slightly help mobile players as well.

You'd think implementing something like this would be a no-brainer and a priority considering how Rob was all about making the game more accessible, and even without that it just makes the game better for everyone.

I'm glad many top players could come together to share this info. I personally use the mod, and it feels so much more precise on much harder levels. It would benefit so many people who don't have the greatest device, to people with the strongest PCs. I really do hope Rob implements this into GD.

In this case I agree with doggie, but that doesn’t mean we should take top player’s words as gospel. They will always know what’s optimal for the experience of extreme levels, but that is not guaranteed for the bigger picture that includes the rest of the community.
@@james2be916 I am an average who's hardest is an insane demon. Before the cbf mod I could never do a straight fly but with the mod I can suddenly do it now, so the top players are right and the mod should be implemented in the game.
@@james2be916straightfly used to be virtually impossible on 60 hz, and now it is. Most impossible levels are also now possible because of it. It’s a good thing for everyone

I have stopped grinding extreme demons to get better because of input delay from my devices. It makes it way too hard to play, so I gave up on demons like plasma pulse finale. I really hope this is allowed.
I feel like this would be simply added. Considering the physics steps in just a simple decode to have this mod in game it shouldn't be an issue. Plus the mod doesn't give an unfair advantage other than better timed jumps

quick thing to clarify there are mcie that support 8khz, (viper 8k, op1 8k are both available for around 70$)
Hello! I wanna clarify that the mod is only available on Windows due to it using WinApi to modify the application, and the main issue is that it cannot be ported to android, macOS and iPhone, unless theres a method to achieve the same thing on all platforms. This may take a long time for RobTop to find and may not be added.

ALSO FOR GENERAL KNOWLEDGE: THERE ARE 8000HZ WIRED AND WIRELESS (though those are usually 4000hz) MICE IF YOU PREFER THOSE OUT THERE.

To be honest, if Pointercrate and/or Robtop refuses to accept cbf, an alternative solution would be just creating a third party rating and leaderboard system which could accept it to prevent the skill drought that originally stemmed from fps bypass being banned for years to happen again

i’ve always been slow to welcome major changes to the playing field, but this particular mod is something that i would absolutely love to see added to gd. or at least allowed by the demon list.
i back it 100%. It would help usher in a new wave of top 1s (i have like 50 demons i think so i cant talk on the difficulty of such levels) but it would help the longevity and accessability of this game even more. such a cool mod

I was extremely doubtful when I heard this as I had tried TPS bypass in the past and wasn't impressed. But after trying this mod out myself I can CONFIDENTLY say it's ideal, solving the fps issue we've had in this game for the past several years once and for all.
As a mobile player, I see this as a win. I could straight fly very easy until 2.2 and now I struggle with basic ship control with the new physics

The mod shouldn’t be added at all. It’s literally a hack.
It's not, it's a mod. If you use a hack you gain an unfair advantage over anyone else not using it. This mod is entirely free and anyone can download it and use it if they want to and what it does, especially if it were to be added vanilla, is level the playing field for everyone so hardware won't hold you back anymore because currently if you for example have a 60hz monitor, like me, you literally cannot compete at top level because of that. This mod eliminates the need to buy an expensive monitor for me and it's completely free.
It doesn't make the game easier it just makes it more precise and now the only thing holding me back is my own skill, not my hardware.
I don't understand how people can see this as a type of cheat if it literally levels the playing field for everyone and eliminates advantages due to better hardware. It literally solves the problem of others having an advantage.

As someone who struggled with the limitations of 60fps. this mod has nothing but benefit me and the only reason i can see why the demon list nor roptop would want to make it viable is to gatekeep top play

my opinion, this should definetly be added. in the minecraft cpvp (crystal pvp) scene, there is a mod called "crystal optimizer". essentially this mod lets you place end crystals faster than normal. the reason this is allowed is because it shows your actual skill in cpvp

It removes input delay based on your FPS, it's not cheating. If this is added to vanilla GD it would level the playing field for everyone and like he said in the video top level play would be accessible to virtually anybody skilled enough, without them being limited by their hardware.

I have zero extremes beaten as of current, with 93% on the flawless being my best.
since a few days i have been using Click between Frames and it has been a lifesaver. Achieving runs on Delta interface (29-59) in one day time, crazy.
