  • A quick slap together video on spearfishing out at Neah bay. This footage is from 2022 at the Neah Bay Fun dive. I may have tried to cram too much info in this one video, the next one should be less rambling. I hope to spend more time out there in 2024 and hopefully get you all clearer footage.

What a great channel! Practical, clearly explained information with solid footage. Keep it coming, there are a lot of us who'd like more videos like this.

I shoot with the JBL NWspecial ... Its a 2 band ... I love doing the breakwater there in neah Bay it's a great place... Neah Bay is one of my favorite places to film... I haven't been out there since 2019 ... The one thing about Ling cods a lot of the times if you missed the shot they will swim around and come back to the exact same spot .. lings have sitting Spots ... I have seen him in 12 ft of water and I've seen them at 80..
Another big tip for shooting lean cods never shoot them if they're back in a hole if you don't have a clear shot on them don't take it... You know if they're back in those rocks and they're sitting there looking at you like come on shoot me!!! .. they're going to turn around and then wedge themselves in that place and you're going to lose your spare tip and the ling ...

Lingcod are some of the best eating fish! Right up there with Halibut and Salmon for me.

What did ya use for the grip on the evolve?

It's cord half hitch wrapped up the shaft. the smaller diameter line you use the better, backing it with a little glue helps it to last. It's a quick and lazy way to get a better grip on it. A sand and epoxy grip would be best.
