I have the original tires and wheels. for "tire" I figured 2083. I checked my indicated speed with my GPS and it was spot on. For PPR I left it set at 1 Pulse Per Revolution and it works fine.
I have had mine on there for 3 years and all I have done is change the internal battery last year. I am very satisfied. It still works as good as the first day.
i tried to install the tach sensor and basically tried every amount of winds and it still shows absolutely nothing on the display. i located the sensor just above the sparkplug so where the spark plug wire begins. i have to be doing something wrong right? i noticed one time when starting the bike to check it showed around 100rpm for a part of a second so im not sure if the sensor cable maybe is working properly
I would be thinking along the lines that there might be a problem with the gauge itself. And it is possible there may be a break in the wire or bad connection.
Its been over a year now since the install and I have not had any problems to speak of with over 4000 miles on the vapor. I still have the original internal battery that came with the gauge. The only issue I had was in the cable runs down the front fork. I had to enlarge the hole slightly to accommodate the speed sensor wire running along the front brake line. The gauge has just worked. Very happy with it.
Yes I did have a problem with the cable guide which I did not notice till later. I just filed it out a bit and made a little more room.. sorry I missed your text.
I did not trust that copper heat sensor terminal ring. The thing got so deformed in the spark plug well that I was afraid it would not seal correctly. I'm going to buy the procycle oil temp sensor kit for peace of mind.
Are you still satisfied with the gauge? I too have a 2017 dr650. I am still on the fence about changing the speedo. I did just order the md5 dash but am still waiting on it to be delivered. Anyway, great video and thanks for sharing I just gave you a like and subscribed

Just an update on the Vapor. Just installed my second battery since install. So far so great. I really can't find any Deltas to comment on.
Thinking about going down this road. My speedo is acting more like a tach. Something is wrong. Anyway, nice video. Over 12,000 views. Very nice !!!!!

How did you mount the speedsensor in the brakecaliper? I just have 2 very small holes in the sensor
How'd this work out for you?
installing one on my 2007 dr650,,,anyone have the correct model number for this bike??? thanks
Great job and thanks for sharing. Have you had any issues having the vapor wired to the switch instead of directly to the battery like they recommend?

@@bboru1014able Thank you! Did my install like you and yes it is working great! Thanks for sharing the video!
Thanks for making this. Does your brake guide grab the lines a bit? Mine does, and makes a nasty kink in the brake line.

what number did you put under the "tire" and under " ppr" thx
will the instalation fo the vaper stops the Manufacturer Warranty ?
I have not checked if the installation of the Vapor will void the warranty.

Did it work out?
@kewlmanable did yours work out?
Can it keep track of mileage and does it have a tripometer?
Yes it has two trip ODO and it keeps a permanent mileage that cannot be deleted. It also keeps track of overall run time.
nice job
Thank You.
