What would you recommend? Fitbit Sense or Tic Watch Pro 3 or...maybe Galaxy watch 3? for Every day use mostly with sport tracking capabilities and quite good precision?
I really appreciated your review here. I ordered myself the watch the other day and I'm awaiting delivery. My first smartwatch was the original Moto 360, complete with the flat tire and quite possibly the worst battery life every introduced on a wearable device to date. I've had several different watches since and while I love what Wear OS was initially designed to do, the actual implementation of it has always put me off. The stuttering. The glitches. The long pause before an app actually, finally opens. I have gotten rid of or sold each previous Wear OS watch simply because I pretty much demand my device to function properly more often than not. It's why I really like Samsung's Tizen software. The Ticwatch Pro 3 is finally a Wear OS watch that has made me want to give Google another try. I hope it wasn't a waste of $300.
Nice review. You missed talking about how "tough" the watch is (waterproofing, etc.) and also didn't touch on whether the Tic apps connect to Google Fit. Do the app connect to Google Fit?
I am pretty sure mine came with fit installed in addition to the tic suit and it seems to work just fine. Sadly only the Tic apps know to display information on the LCD screen, for google fit (and I assume other fitness apps) you'll have to turn the main screen on.
Thank you for this video 👍. It seems the new Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS comes with a new magnetic charger with only 2 pins. It means TicWatch Pro 3 GPS charging cable does not support data transfer or in other words no data transmission between PC and this new watch. But I am wondering if it is possible to use or the charger cable from previous models like Ticwatch Pro, Ticwatch Pro 2020 or Ticwatch S&E are compatible with Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS.
Waiting on a new fossil but...this is high on my list. My Huawei watch 2 feels sluggish so been waiting on new hardware...and new software from Google....

Awesome review Mike, quick question how does the always on Android color watch faces look when the watch is not being used? Does it look similar to Galaxy watch 3?
@@jmomo_ I moved from the Galaxy sport to the tick watch pro and the only thing I'm really missing is the speed and the rotating bezel. since I ordered the pro 3 I'm thinking the speed isn't going to be a worry anymore so I like the functionality of Wear OS better. My biggest problem since switching from Apple to Android is finding a fitness tracker that has comparable health and workout features to Apple watch. Does this new ticwatch 3 pro have a black bezel all around the actual watchface or is it my imagination ? (does it have edge to edge screen like all the older ticwatch pros)
I'm wary about going with WearOS again since my OG Huawei Watch, although a bit sluggish, was hit or miss when trying to use the assistant, or doing things like sending texts with voice. It would sometimes try for like 10 seconds and then fail saying it could not connect. That kind of thing needs near 100% success for me to use. I don't know if it's a problem because of a sluggish watch with old processor, or if it's just common with WearOS in general. Have you experienced failures using voice commands and voice texts with this watch?
Really been thinking about this one. I loved the OG Moto 360, but jumped ship to Tizen/Samsung when WearOS stagnated. I found myself not liking Tizen. It's a fine watch OS, but it ties you into having to use Samsung's apps, which are lacking. Excited that the 4100 has finally came out.
Does it lack any features if it connects with an iphone? It would be nice if youtubers talked a little bit more about using wear os watches on iphones, and apple watches on android devices. I’m currently an iphone user but i don’t like the look of the apple watch, but also I don’t want to buy a watch and then lack any features. Could you make a video about that topic? Btw the review was great!
The thing that stands out for me is that the watch can't do simple arithmetic! The start and stop times of your sleep tracking don't match the sleep time calculated. 08:43pm to 11:50am is much more than 3:10hrs.
I'm in the market, but only need basic fitness. I'm more into the toy / tech aspect of it. I think I've narrowed down to Samsung SmartWatch3, this or the Fossil Gen 5. Do your recommend this over the Gen5?
Had the previous Ticwatch and only disappointing feature is actually the magnetic snap on charger while convenient the gold connectors wear away against your skin after a while would prefer induction charging
Hi, Mike, thanks for the detailed briefing. Can you try it out for running if the GPS is stable enough? Ticwatch Pro Gen 1 has very poor GPS which always disconnected.
Great review! Thanks. I have recently bought this smart watch and am still deciding whether to keep it. Battery life isn’t quite as awesome as I was expecting. Essential Mode is a bit unreal as a smart watch feature and I very much doubt it would give me 45 days anyway. But purely as a smart watch it is fast and has many attractive features. It may not replace my Garmin V4 for fitness and sleep tracking.
How quickly does the internal gps lock onto a position before going for a run, for example? I have a Fossil Gen 5 and the gps is shocking, will take forever to get a fix.
Hello Mike. Back to the old classic denim I see, can't go wrong with a classic. My little magnetic charger fell to pieces, would have loved to have wireless charging but had to buy a new charging dock off eBay. Sigh! It was another Tickwatch but the chargers are all the same I think? Great review ol, bean. Many thanks. :-).
I really want to buy this watch but the lack of a rotating crown/bezel is really holding me back. After using both the Apple Watch and Galaxy Watch, I think it would be really hard to not have either of these.
This. Its integral to it being a smartphone replacement. Dragging and sliding is slow and clunky. A rotating bezel makes it really quick to get exactly where you want to go. Which is the whole purpose of the watch to being with. To avoid having to pull your phone out.
I dont know what to choose now :( I wanted to buy some cheaper and better option of apple airbuds pro and I think I will go with Huawei freebuds pro... but what watch to choose? I want to use mainly Alexa since I have some Alexa stuff at home already, I have a 6.7' (17cm) wrist so I think that 45mm watch is too big and uncomfortable. I like classic look of watches like galaxy watch 3 or this one in the video. I think galaxy is better but the 41mm with bezel seems really small with bad battery life and the video's one is 47mm which is huge for me... OMG WHAT DO I DO 😫
I had to return it. Just got it, but it would register 500 steps literally as I slept. I was home sick two days ago and didn't leave my apartment but it registered 3,000 steps.
The watch is waterproof, but I would not swim with it on. An updated LTE version should be coming soon. I have the previous LTE model, but I did not get too much extra benefit from it. Most apps that I use are paired with the phone.
Nice review. Thank you. One question - how long does this watch go with gps on? I like to record my mountain bike rides and they usually take up to 8 hours. Will the watch handle it?
If I have known that this model would be out now, that's the watch I'd be wearing right now!!! I'm currently using the Gen 5 from Fossil and I love it so far all except the battery. Anyway, awesome review, I'm really liking this watch from Ticwatch and only wish it came out sooner.
Can you use this watch as a stand-alone device? Like leave your phone in a locker and use the watch by itself connected to wifi to play music, use apps, etc.
Thanks great review, for me it is still missing a compass and a rotating bezel, get those and you have an awesome smart watch, I'm sticking out for the next iteration!
I really want to go back to wear os for my pixel 4a, but the look and feel of the galaxy watch active 2 is so good. Just wish the apps were supported more.
Thx for the review! I wonder how much of a drawback it is to miss a rotating bezel or crown. I've never owned a smartwatch before, so dont know how important it is for ease to use

Is the LCD display also *highly visible* in bright sunlight (exactly the opposite of the normal screens these days)?
Can you make calls from Pro 3 while connected to iPhone?
Really been thinking about this one. I loved the OG Moto 360, but jumped ship to Tizen/Samsung when WearOS stagnated. I found myself not liking Tizen. It's a fine watch OS, but it ties you into having to use Samsung's apps, which are lacking. Excited that the 4100 has finally came out.
Is it waterproof?
How to buy battery for ticwatch pro 3?
Does it lack any features if it connects with an iphone? It would be nice if youtubers talked a little bit more about using wear os watches on iphones, and apple watches on android devices. I’m currently an iphone user but i don’t like the look of the apple watch, but also I don’t want to buy a watch and then lack any features. Could you make a video about that topic? Btw the review was great!
Nice review! I thought the speaker and the microphone worked pretty well. In both cases it was easy to understand what you were saying.
The thing that stands out for me is that the watch can't do simple arithmetic! The start and stop times of your sleep tracking don't match the sleep time calculated.
08:43pm to 11:50am is much more than 3:10hrs.
Hi sir
Do the smartwatch have Wi-Fi? 🙂
I'm in the market, but only need basic fitness. I'm more into the toy / tech aspect of it. I think I've narrowed down to Samsung SmartWatch3, this or the Fossil Gen 5. Do your recommend this over the Gen5?
Same, except I want Google Assistant, not bixby
Like how they made it a bit thinner. Returned the og because it was just too chunky. I did like the dual screen setup though.
Im taking this over galaxy watch active 2! Loving the design vis-a-vis ticwatch pro 200. Just hoping to meet expectations
Does the tic have a 4100 or 4100+ chip ?
Had the previous Ticwatch and only disappointing feature is actually the magnetic snap on charger while convenient the gold connectors wear away against your skin after a while would prefer induction charging
Hi, Mike, thanks for the detailed briefing.
Can you try it out for running if the GPS is stable enough? Ticwatch Pro Gen 1 has very poor GPS which always disconnected.
Is this an LTE phone....or dependent on BT back to your phone????
Does it work with iPhones?
Great review! Thanks. I have recently bought this smart watch and am still deciding whether to keep it. Battery life isn’t quite as awesome as I was expecting. Essential Mode is a bit unreal as a smart watch feature and I very much doubt it would give me 45 days anyway. But purely as a smart watch it is fast and has many attractive features. It may not replace my Garmin V4 for fitness and sleep tracking.
You did not show off the backlight which is the biggest improvement over the previous Tiicwatch Pro.
Can I connect my Bluetooth earphones with this and play songs while running....is that possible
good battery life + google assistant , make me happy
How quickly does the internal gps lock onto a position before going for a run, for example? I have a Fossil Gen 5 and the gps is shocking, will take forever to get a fix.
Is it accurate??
salut , comment ont valide une carte de crédit ?
Does it have lte and waterproffing
The watch is waterproof, but I would not swim with it on. An updated LTE version should be coming soon. I have the previous LTE model, but I did not get too much extra benefit from it. Most apps that I use are paired with the phone.
Nice review. Thank you. One question - how long does this watch go with gps on? I like to record my mountain bike rides and they usually take up to 8 hours. Will the watch handle it?
I'd say it will
Does this works with iPhone 📱?
If I have known that this model would be out now, that's the watch I'd be wearing right now!!! I'm currently using the Gen 5 from Fossil and I love it so far all except the battery. Anyway, awesome review, I'm really liking this watch from Ticwatch and only wish it came out sooner.
Nice sharing... Is it come with firstbeat calculation for workout like Vo2max and recovery for each workout?
Can you use this watch as a stand-alone device? Like leave your phone in a locker and use the watch by itself connected to wifi to play music, use apps, etc.
which one is good between galaxy watch 3 and ticwatch pro 3?
Tw3
Any idea if the backlight works in essential mode?
I bought one and backlight works in essential mode!
finally i got my next watch.
I already ordered one!
Same
thanks
qi pad charging is really missing ,but its a very good watch to have all day
skagen falster 3 or Ticwatch Pro 3??
Thanks great review, for me it is still missing a compass and a rotating bezel, get those and you have an awesome smart watch, I'm sticking out for the next iteration!
I really want to go back to wear os for my pixel 4a, but the look and feel of the galaxy watch active 2 is so good. Just wish the apps were supported more.
Thx for the review! I wonder how much of a drawback it is to miss a rotating bezel or crown. I've never owned a smartwatch before, so dont know how important it is for ease to use
Id imagine a huge one. Without it. Why not just pull out your phone? All that swiping and dragging is just as slow as it is on a phone.
How is the battery when you workout with GPS, especially cycling. On my GWA2 I got 8% per hour with MapMyRun app. Thanks Mike!
4 days battery life?
Does the LC Display even show the workout time and steps when you are using the Google fit workout function instead of the own Ticwatch fitness apps?
I tested it and sadly it doesn't seem like it does.
Hi Mike, yet another well-presented, fair and well-filmed review video. You certainly seem to know your stuff. Ive been looking for a smartwatch and this video has convinced
me to opt for the TICWATCH PRO3. It seems like it might be compatable with some upcoming upgrades too.?
Keep up the good work. Im off to buy this watch in the morning.
Is the vibration strong or weak?
It's very important for me.
For example on ticwatch e2 it is strong, on fossil gen 5 it is weak
No comment
I was seriously considering this in lieu of a Galaxy Watch 3 until I heard it doesn't have wireless charging. That's a deal breaker :( I also have a Samsung phone (z flip 5G) so I wonder if the Galaxy watch would synergize better?
