Part 2 of 3 • "The Gorn Imperative" ...
Part 3 of 3 • "The Gorn Imperative" ...
Fantastick! I think I’ve been waiting 54 years for this! It was awesome! Love those Gorns.
I'm glad to do this. I too have waited too long for more stories with them. More are in the works. :)
@@Raymar3d I can’t wait!
@@Raymar3d Do you think we'll see them in Picard perhaps?
I also enjoy the Gorn being portrayed as decent and honorable beings.
Love that it opened with the Massassi Temples of Yavin IV 😆... Just started watching with great anticipation.
EXCELLENT!! Thanks for this masterpiece!!!!!
The Gorns are my favorite ST original series aliens. So as the Tholians are too. They were quite the enigmatic species. I look forward to parts 2 and 3.
Gorn is one of the best Star Trek characters.
It's great to see the gorn more
From the sound of their voices, it can be concluded that Randy "Macho Man" Savage was from Gorn.
OOOOOOOOOOH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
lol
nice job extremely underrated fan film
Thank you! Please share and spread the word! :)
This deserves a lot more views... everyone share.
Thank you! :)
Exactly
I love this. In the STARFLEET International Star Trek Fan Club my alter ego/persona is a Gorn... The Gorn Engineer. I love anything Gorn, we have been ignored too long.
If you put together a Gorn costume, we are going to do another story with them. I'm looking for a variety of different Gorns for this new one, especially.
@@Raymar3d All I have right now is the 2 masks you can get from Amazon... I don't really know where else to go to get more of a costume (hands, feet, full body, etc..P)
@@richardrutledge2643 I got everything on Amazon. The body is made from "The Lizard" from Amazing Spiderman, and the hands are available there as well, just do a search for lizard hands. The arm bracers were made from a pair of boots and the tunic was made from upholstery vinyl. I'm basically trying to create a variety of Gorns for a very large crowd scene. Or other things too. :)
Here today, Gorn tomorrow
Great to see a Star Trek story from another perspective, and great subject matter... The Gorn and Cestus 3. Nice.👍
Thank you for watching!
Wow how did i leave seeing this for so long, this is fantastic work well done to you all.
Thank you! Glad you found us! More on the way!
The Gorn was always my favorite TOS Alien!
Mine too! :)
Nice BSG nod.
Well done! Good plot. Well executed.
Thank you very much!
First of all, big congrats to all for finishing your film. It's no easy task tp put one of these fan films together. Secondly, great first part to all. What's really neat is seeing this all from the gorn's perspective. Some really nice animation too and the costumes are well done. Nice to see different variety in the gorn society. Can't wait to watch part 2.
Thank you very much! High praise from the Valiant's captain!
Nice to see Gorn with the lidless, compound EYES they had in TOS; not that "sensor display eyepiece" bullshit of STO.
@@fleshanthos I totally agree with you. The compound eye is what sells "Gorn" to me. I recognize that there are other varieties of Gorns, as seen in "Enterprise" and there will probably be more, so I'm adding some variety to indicate that all Gorns are not necessarily only one species, but are all reptilians, at least.
@@kenneththomson5120 I go under the name of "Gorn" on the two good Star Trek FASA sites: All Scale Trek and Starship Combat Forum. I've developed some of their ships and scenarios for the FASA game...
@@fleshanthos You should recognize S'slee, then. :)
One thing about the gorn they mean bissness big time, a very good job on this episode.
That outpost was killer .The ships looked great .Looking forward to the other 2. Thank you all very muchLLAP
Thank you! That was a really fun model to build and a fun scene to render. :) I'm glad you enjoyed the film!
Wonderful and well done !
Love the mix of SFB and STO Gorn ships
I'd prefer the FASA designs!
@@fleshanthos You will see some of them in future films. :) We will eventually learn about the Gorn Alliance and what it is all about. At least, my take on it. :)
I like the design of your Gorn ship
2:31 I'm famous! lol
Next to conquer Planet Ventra in the 25th Century we are being over run by Plastic Cyborgs
Despite the Creation Engine looking graphics, one of the better fan productions.
It's a program called Lumion, used mostly for architectural walkthroughs.
@@kenneththomson5120 Thanks
I’m officially declaring this as canon compliant and a perfect companion episode to watch side by side with the original tos episode to show how every story has multiple sides and perspectives. I could see them being broadcast back to back like a two-parter episode with a linked storyline.
Wow! Thank you so very much! :)
Minor suggestion. Edit the opening credit sequences down a bit. It is taking too long to get to the story.
I will keep that in mind for future releases, thank you.
Ok this whole Gorn Imperative production is downright perfection... The Romulans being the perpetrators of the entire conflict in Arena was a stroke of genius... The Romulans probably launched comparable strikes on all powers within range. The Federation being the only one to actually repel such an assault and actually destroy the Bird of Prey. There's very likely a war between the Gorn and Romulans that ends as soon as Kirk makes peace with the Gorn... Much like the Khitomer Accords of 3 decades later the peace between the Federation and the Gorn would make an attack on either by the Romulans highly unwise... The Federation would surely back the Gorn in such a war.
Thank you for the high praise! There's definitely more to come!
This one has so much going on! I LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing that Gorn ship realized. The tiny taste we got in Arena didn't show it to nearly as good advantage as you have here. It's really beautiful...truly, an equal to the Klingon Battle Cruiser and the Enterprise.
I love how faithful your take on the Gorn is, and the look of their world.
You really work hard to take an opposite approach to fan films. You don't tell us your story with talking heads and tubby fans in badly fitting costumes...you depict it visually.
TOS' scores are some of the best committed to film. You use them beautifully, and what's more you're not using the most obvious, overused cuts. It's even Season One appropriate...wonderful! The use of that cut from Edith Keeler's death scene to show us the catastrophically tragic devestation of the final scene here? Mwah (chef's kiss)!
This is as Star Trek as it gets, man. Bravo!
Thank you so much. It's comments like this that encourage me to do more. :)
This was a bold idea and an interesting one. I didn't realise it was a prequel at first but once that was made clear the story was much easier to get into.
I like how the misunderstanding was formed. Those dastardly Romulans, always managing to cause trouble even without meaning to!
Effective use of TOS music throughout
Great to see actual physical costumes for the Gorn and I liked the use of CGI to simulate speech and facial expressions, but it was odd not to see it done across all the characters.
It was a challenge. I tried to do the moving mouth on S'alath and Rekkon, but the teeth caused problems with the software. This seemed to be the best overall solution. I thank you for your feedback and the positive comments. I am glad you enjoyed it. :)
magnifique !!!!!
Thank you! :)
🖖
Congratulations! That was awesome. Your visual effects-- from sweeping vistas on the planets, to the depths of space, are first rate. I could tell how much work and love you put into the project. Looking forward to the next chapter! Well done, my friend!
Really appreciate that George! Always fun to work on your series, too. Imagine a world, where both of us release an episode on the same day! Like today, LOL!
@@Raymar3d The stars aligned up for us, I guess. You are and will always be a part of my family. You rock, Kenneth!!!!
Grateful and allsume done ,Dune try that to lol
Hi Ken! I wish I could write an informed comment here! But I'm afraid my ignorance speaks for me. I can say it looks very cool and fanbase-specific! XD
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Is it possible that the Gorn are related to the pre-cybernetic Cylons?
I'll never tell. :)
😳😳😳 That's brilliant....
11:17 I was unaware that Starfleet still drove Chevy Blazers.
Powered by Mr. Fusion. Lol. Actually, if you watch Star Trek Nemesis, Picard and company drove around in similar vehicles, so why not? Wheels are still more efficient than most form of travel for daily use, even in that era.
Looks like the Mayan pyramids.
That's NOT an accident. :)
Enjoyed seeing Star Fleet Battles designs for most of the Gorn fleet (except the main Gorn ship). Is the protagonist Gorn cruiser a design of your own?
It is the ship barely seen in the remastered version of "Arena." Thank you for watching the film. I'm working on another one. :)
4:00 was that a Romulan Nuclear Weapon with nacelles or a small attack fighter that made a suicide run? Either way it was absolutely devastating. Very well done.
It was a drone nuke. Thank you. :)
And a Star Fleet Battles Gorn destroyer!
This is much better than the Gorn on Strange New Worlds! Music is much better too!
Ok when are we doing to get to see done acting?
Psssssstrrrssßsßßs
I would prefer to watch more of this than pay for the Paramount+ clap trap fake trek.
