solid 5/10. played it on my channel and had genuine fun, but the pricetag and promise both being royally fked ruined it a bit for me which made it such a low score. Good video!

beat all 3 games. eh, it was fine.. wouldnt consider it amazing, or even good... but, a playable remaster that after being updated was just easier to play considering it was filled with releases from the early 2000s.... but my god, the atmosphere was demolished... thats the part that hurt the most, all three looking the same.... so, id give it a somewhat moderate 3/10.... WITH the updates....
Even 5/10 is way too generous, more like 0/10 or at least 1/10!
One of the worst things is that they removed the originals from the store just so they could sell this shit.

I bought it the day it released, installed it, played San Andreas for 30 minutes, uninstalled and never bothered since. Feels bad.

My library had it, I played gta 3 for about 40 mins, un-installed it, and returned that garbage, to the library.

@OneLastScholar if I could, I would. From what I know, Playstation can only refund if you never download and play a game, if you buy it by mistake is the only time they allow refuds last time i checked.

they basically took our beloved classic game, took a giant Shiiit on it, and then sold it to us for 59.99
Their standards can't be too high to defend this crappy remaster.. I get it if it was a small studio who made this game then I would understand why it has some bugs but man this is Rockstar we are talking about here.. The Rockstar we know who name is the definition of high standards and quality.. How in the hell did Rockstar let a mobile studio deal with their most historic games that put them on the map is crazy to think about to about to me? I still can't believe to this day Rockstar didn't remaster or remake this game in house charging people $60.00 U.S for it?
Rockstar let people down with this trash of a remaster.. I hope to everything heavenly that Rockstar doesn't screw up GTA 6.. That would be the worst thing that ever happened in video games.. Seriously..
As a casual console gamer thats never touched a mod the definitive edition was really enjoyable for me yeah not perfect and a less than i was expecting but i dont have my ps2 anymore and getting to play it again with some shine was a treat
Same, I literally didn't touch it cause everyone dogged it so bad, but I eventually played it, and didn't even deal with 90% of the issues complained about. I had fun.

Bro pls cover the Netflix edition. It's honestly much better with Video Games Deluxe fixing the flaws made by GSG back in 2014. The water physics are back. Most props are rotating now, and the bicycle controls and super sprint are back
Never knew the Netflix edition was different. Definitely going to look into that.
So fucking stupid that ONLY the mobile versions got those fixes. Makes no sense at all.

@@L321 Just to let you know , Rockstar didn't handle the remaster, it was sent to another company to sort, and the company in question didn't get the time they wanted due to short deadlines, the game was then past back onto Rockstar who released the game. The Reason Rockstar didn't do it them selfs is because they were busy at the time. There is a few interviews from last year, if I can find them , I will send them to you. Rockstar do go into detail about this.
Better care should have been taken when doing the remaster of these games.

Also I feel like all 3 games look the same because they lost their artstyle. The atmosphere is different in each game and even the location in the originals because there are some subtle changes in color palette.
For example sunny weather in Los Santos is more warm and saturated than sunny weather in San Fierro for example. It's definitely something you notice subconciously.
You Can Say the Gta Definitive édition in 2024 is the Netflix release(mobile) because most of these bugs are fixed, consoles still trash
Yeah but it's still insane how they haven't updated the console and of versions to the one in the Netflix port.
yet still doesn't have fixes that were already in the original run xbox version.

I bought it in 2022 on sale half prize 30$ and only played vice city so I can only speak on that but can say for my vice city play through everything worked fine with no crazy bugs or glitches
Vice City is the most polished game of all 3

So unfortunate, I rlly wish they actually remastered them. It literally looks like all they did was raise the brightness. I’m so glad I got it on game pass and didn’t spend $60 on it, I would’ve flipped out lol.
If they ever fixed some collision issues in the environment, awkward animations/models, and objects falling through the ground when hit in a car then I could play them forever.

The Mobil version on Netflix is so good.
I've recently bought the game and completed the story missions, now working towards 100%, tbh quite enjoyed the game, very smooth experience, however some elements are bugged such as the dispatch of ambulances to revive people. Firetrucks rarely are dispatched. Controller support has been great, and was my main incentive to buy this game in the first place.
I heavily modded GTA SA, though it was an absolute nightmare to follow the whole process and test it.. I regret accidently uninstalling the modded GTA SA.. Cant be bothered to reinstall all the mods again..
I don't think it is that bad in consoles since you have no alternatives. It is fun to play san andreas on a latest generation console.

It comes with my ps plus subscription. Just started playing it a couple weeks ago. It’s pretty fun and I don’t have a problem with it
So happy I bought the originals and kept them on an ssd. Plugged that external ssd into my ps5 and it runs san andreas perfectly
Finally this game is free for PS Plus members because I've wanted to for so long. Game is pretty solid, but again that's coming froma free perspective lol. Wouldn't pay more than $30 for this.

This title could have been a great thing but Rockstar cut cost by allowing a company that has no business making games for consoles and PC. The company ported a mobile engine over into the consoles and PC versions. Rockstar had time to fix the issues but they worried about their GTA Online instead.GTADE is one of the reasons why I'm not in a hurry to buy GTA6. If Rockstar didn't want to fix GTADE then why support their future titles?

I was sadly one of the people who preordered this, and then it pissed seeing as how they actually made a stable definitive edition on mobile, I truly hope one day rockstar realizes that there is potential to make these games the best versions possible, making ps2 filters hd, gta v style controls, and that’s all they would have to do for me to enjoy the definitive edition
But hey, at least it's free on mobile for Netflix users now.

I was about to buy this collection on sale because I just assumed it was fixed now. Glad I double checked and didn't waste $30, nevermind 60
Played it in Jan 2024, 100% it on Steam Deck..Steam Deck is a great device to play SA on.
Now 6 months later, doing a 2nd run, 100%, in a different manner...like $9999999 before doing 1st mission.
Doing all achievements, before unlocking other regions.
Sad it was in a sad state on launch. But its good in 2024, and Steam Deck❤
Does this new edition have the feature to advance when failing a mission several times? I love the old San Andreas, but I never had to hand to eye coordination to pass some of those missions, and had to give it up. Same with Vice City too. It really bummed me out because I loved the storylines in both of those games, and never was able to reach the end.
I got them all on PC (the originals) thank god. Modded them to heck and back

I just purchased this game last night and it still costs $60 bucks... I am pretty excited to give it a go soon as I can find some time to sit down and install it. I also picked up Red Dead Redemption. Hoping they are both good games.

No, not in Rockstar's defense. This game is garbage because R* wanted a fast, cheap, cash grab. It was R* decision to put GSG on this project.
R* knew exactly what they were doing.
They knew what they were doing by delisting the originals. They knew what they were doing going after modders. They knew what they were doing with the pricing. They knew what they were doing releasing it broken. They knew what they were doing not releasing it on Steam day one. They knew what they were doing by shoving crappy DRM into the game.
R* did not care about this project, the fans, or the consumer.
Most people need to stop going after GSG and actually make R* accountable.
Im glad i just stuck with the originals.

I play it on iPad Pro 12,9 M2 with Xbox Series X controller and I love it so much .
The only bug I have too like in this video is the street lanterns falling into the ground but I think who cares lol .

I just got it for $10, the whole thing. I haven't played it yet but I bought it for the sale and nostalgia. I hope I can at least get that out of it. The originals were buggy as hell too and, at least GTA III and Vice City, couldn't be updated at the time. I still have my original discs. I hope it's worth $10 for all three games.

I played GTA 3 to the final mission but that's as far as I got. Sadly playing the game didn't spark the same joy I had when the OG's were released. (I also still have my OG ps2 copies of all three games)
GTA III is the only one of the trilogy that I don't have the original for. I wish I had bought it before being removed in favor of the defective edition
I paid $60 but I got lucky and my copy is literally bug free. I’ve experienced 0 bugs even when I got it in 2022. Weird.

They hired the small studio and then threw them under the bus
The small studio knew what they were getting into, but Rockstar is the most guilty of it since they should have worked on it themselves.

I'm from Malaysia and after converting $60 to RM257.81, I was like "Damn!!!" So glad I haven't bought that game yet, let alone having no knowledge of what would the result be if I had bought it.

they could have simply increased the fps to 60, up the resolution and maybe even enhanced the textures and it would have been fine. its the fact they ported it to unreal and then tried to fix all the bugs they created
Worst part is they took off the original games off the store so you’re only able to buy the definitive edition! Luckily I bought San Andreas and GTA 3 years ago for under £10 each
those mods look so bad not a chance you think that looks better than the definitive edition it might have its problems but it doesnt look like a unfinished mobile game

Well, it is now for sale in Steam for 30 €, so I wanted to check a few videos about whether it is worth it. The answer is no, it is not.
I'm ok with the game being a bit lacking right now, but the absolute deal breaker is the frequence and quality of the updates, which both seems to be either zero or a bit under that.
When I think I spent 60€ on this for PS4, and Netflix ended up with the better version...🤡
Mobile version of the DE isnt really bad when compared to the console and PC releases of DE trilogy
