Even if he isn’t the next Patrick, the generational talent is showing. Just has to be consistent like all these guys in this class. These last 3 games he has been
@owtkvst He has been his consistent USC self, the game is a lot tougher against better defenses. * Detroit offense was terrible on Thursday, especially in the 2nd half trying to be too cute. * Caleb made TD throws in the second half that any starter can make with wide open receivers * He hasn't shown any special generational talent at this point. * I want him to do well, but I will not hype normal play expected from a starter as something special. * last season CJ Stroud was special as a rookie and Bryce Young wasn't.
@@keithhunt3498 lol what? The 2nd Keenan Allen pass, yes, was routine. But the DJ TD was pressure in his face, arm getting hit, in the bucket for 30 yards back shoulder. That’s routine? The 1st Keenan TD was a dagger in between safeties that took supreme arm strength to make. What are U talking about? The rolling out dimes too. Those are routine? Come on dude. Get real.
Caleb and the Bears have been horrible in the first half. And Caleb’s arm strength is helping with seeing playmakers late. He needs play action outside the pocket with more shots downfield.
@@trinyea90 He did. That was very encouraging. He’s also threw a pass into the dirt in front of DJ on a crossing route which could’ve been taken to the house.
Hmmmm the Bears fired the offensive coordinator giving Caleb 2 different offensive coordinators in his 1st year. To further increase the odds that Caleb will be a bust they have now fired the head coach meaning next season Caleb will have his 3rd offensive coordinator with his 3rd offense to learn and most likely he will also have a new quarterback coach. Most rookie quarterbacks in the NFL never realize their potential having 2 different offensive coordinators in their 1st 3 years the Bears apparently really want to ruin this kid. Maybe in 50 years the Bears might eventually have a NFL caliber quarterback but I doubt it will be Caleb with the revolving door offensive coordinator situation.
I don’t think Caleb Williams deserves any hate. If Chicago gets their act together he could be great, if they don’t he’ll have a great career somewhere else. But Detroits defense was missing 10 starters. And the 11th starter got hurt in the game. So Chicago’s offense lost to Detroit’s 2nd and 3rd string defense. Let’s not give them to much credit
He only scored 19, 20, and 27 points. The defense is what kept it close in rhe packers and lions games. I usually look at it as, if the offense scores less than 20, they were horrible. If they scored 30 or more, they were really good. 20 to 29 they were okay I know this film is about the play and, since he's only a rookie, that is really encouraging for the future
@@ZupanDoesItAllYea it was bad vs Minnesota. But it was good against Detroit. If it wasn't they would not have held them to 23. Detroit should of had 35 but the bears defense made some key stops
He's lucky that lions defender that tried to snap his legs didn't. I don't like that tackle. I know people are like that's how they played in the 80s and 90s. Joe Theismann and Alex Smith had his career ruined because of these type of tackles. I feel like if a defender can he should go for the waist area or any other area besides the legs. Now if they are trying to prevent the player from getting a td I can understand if the last thing to do is a leg tackle but I feel like he didn't have to go low on him like that in that situation.
So was Eberflus the reason the Bears weren't doing this type of drive in the first half ? Or is it that Caleb isn't seeing it until the defense has slowed down after a half of football ? I hope that this gets better now that Flus is gone.
Caleb is the most Sacked QB in the league by 10 sacks. He is only 14th in pressures. Caleb has the lowest 3rd down Conversion rate in the NFL. Tyson Bagent has a 3.4% sack %, and a 71.4% 3rd down Conversion rate
tyson bagent also has more interceptions than touchdowns and 10x less talent. this bagent narrative is worse than fields. at least fields was a 1st round pick.
On that last play of the game, when Caleb saw something and changed the play. Although, that caused time to run out in the game; That play showed something Bear Fans should be excited about. Although the pass was incomplete; That pass should have been a Touchdown! It was a nearly perfectly thrown ball, that, if Odunze would have run through the ball, it was highly catchable. It appeared that the Detroit cornerback was holding Odunze and Odunze was looking for a call, that never came. All Odunze had to do was keep running full speed, and caught the ball.
Caleb is a younger version of Curt Cousins, nothing all game and then garbage time stats to get them close. In the Lions game in the first half he was horrible!
He wasn't on draft day and he's not better than Jayden Daniels now. He should never have been the first pick. He's not as good as they think. He wasn't a winner in the pac.
Yeah right. First 6 games he might not of been but Daniel’s is 3rd best so far . Bo nix is playing the best then Caleb. Also Caleb never threw a int since week 6
“Caleb stans” Most football fans are optimistic about the first overall pick of the draft in his first year in the league. And how couldn’t they be optimistic he already has done things bears fans have never seen from their franchise
Je couldnt beat a 4th string lions defence. Tons of bad throws , should have been picked off 3 times. Low 50% accuracy. Of coarse some throws will be good .
@@cooperrichard6 Swift averaging under 3 yards per carry and playing on the road where the lions have dominated plays a part. But we should expect a lot more from a 12 game vet including beating an 11-1 team on the road.
As a Bears fan, Caleb Williams is not good. Panics under pressure, misses open receivers, over/under throws passes, is less mobile than Fields was, beta personality (does not lead) and is the worse current rookie QB. Can he develop...yes. Is he good....nope, probably a future backup or bust.
lol i'd rather have a qb trust their coach then try to play coach. not our fault our coach is a monkey. its faster for the coach to call a TO standing RIGHT next to the ref than the guy in the middle of the field. also, coaches can tell refs "hey im most likely going to call a to at the end of this play", so that the ref will pay attention to them and get the TO called right on the spot.
You're just salty because Caleb is showing improvement and you want to label him a "bust" so badly. Bears were down 23-7 in the fourth and Caleb was a penatly away from coming back and beating the Lions on the road. Also against the Vikings, Caleb was down 27-16 with 3 minutes left and ZERO timeouts and he led them back to tie. When has a Bears QB ever been capable of doing that? Yes Caleb has weapons, but one of the worst O Line's and had the worst HC in football.
Oh, you’re one of those who want Caleb to be bad no matter what. I don’t get you people. I wanted fields to be good, but he wasn’t. I wanted Trubisky to be good but he wasn’t. Shoot I wanted cade McNown to be good but as a Bears fan born in 1983, I’ve never seen a quarterback like Caleb. Sorry, but those are the facts.
It’s more of the Bears are the 4th best team in the division and it’s not even close but they have the best quarterback. Even with a bad O-line and underwhelming running game Caleb still outplayed Love, Darnold, and Goff the last 3 weeks
@@brianjasnica3530he did not outplay Darnold. Darnold completed his winning drive. Goff kinda shit down. Maybe barely got Love but didn't have the TD passes or as many passing yards. He had help from a rushing touchdown
@@bradyhagen7789 and? You’re still saying he got helped from his running back yet he was still the second leading rusher in that GB game by 1 yard, and Jacobs had a TD too.
The bears would have won if the refs weren’t on the lions side and give them a free touchdown when the bears made them go 3 and out but they called a horse collar that was a bad call, the score was 7 -16 at that point, the lions ended up scoring off that bad call , if the refs don’t call that the lions don’t score for the rest of the game
He looks horrific. Can't read defense, can't throw from a good pocket, obviously can't game mange!!! Wtf are u gas lighting?? He should have had 5 ints. Balls were bouncing of lions helmets!!!
And yet he still almost beat the best team in the NFL in their home stadium and he’s the only quarterback to throw more than one TD against the Lions this season….but yeah he sucks.
Caleb is just like Justin... no solid QB coaching will send him to the next Steelers, Seattle, Cleveland, or any other pasture team. He does not have the speed of the NFL on his reads.
Disagree, he's already making throws that Fields can't even dream of not to mention the ability to perform when it matters in the 4th Q. If he's still inconsistent after 3 years then it might be time to let go, but I've seen enough to be cautiously optimistic.
He's regular getting to his 3rd read and getting the ball out at 2.4 seconds on average, top 10 of all QBs. Speed is simply not a problem for him. If you don't like him that's fine, some people just don't for some reason, but you should point out actual problems (e.g foot work, difficulty moving left and throwing left).
@@james_robnett Well I hope he does well, we want all the competition we can get from the Lions camp perspective and he seems like a good kid but from the outside looking in to me looks like the same failures the Bears did with Fields.
What NFL game are you watching? You have to be joking or you seriously don’t know ball. You can say something about his foot work or his mechanics, yes, but to say anything about his speed and how quickly he’s seeing his read is just factually wrong. Use common sense when you’re trying to hate. * He's in the best situation for a overall number 1 pick in the history of the NFL .
* let's see him be consistent over a period of time before he's crowned as the next Patrick.
* Caleb made TD throws in the second half that any starter can make with wide open receivers
* He hasn't shown any special generational talent at this point.
Get real.
Hi Hater I see you
Caleb and the Bears have been horrible in the first half. And Caleb’s arm strength is helping with seeing playmakers late.
He needs play action outside the pocket with more shots downfield.
Caleb still has issues at accuracy on his passes and he also has a issue holding the ball to long, other than that he is doing well.
@@richardwoodard1118 Mostly on throws to the left side of the field.
Did you see the touch pass over the defender to dj moore in the end zone? That was to the left and it fell into dj's arms
@@trinyea90 He did. That was very encouraging. He’s also threw a pass into the dirt in front of DJ on a crossing route which could’ve been taken to the house.
@@chicagodude8888 agreed, I am excited for future years tho!
Caleb's rookie year has been way better than guys like Josh Allen Jarrod Goff and Matthew Stafford, get lost
The last game we had no scoring in the first half. The quarterback has to share some responsibility.
This is so true! But his talent is going to waste with bad coaching. Luckily we got a new coach
were thesee the lions defensive starters? I know they banged up
That’s not Darnell Wright in the second half of the video he got hurt that was Larry Borom
Everything is good except you called Larry Borom, Darnell wright at the end
There are high school QBs would have called a time out! Showing just his good throws is not a good argument
No doubt
He is not allowed to do so.
@theghostsofmyaddiction4471 who?
Bro changed the play with less than 17 seconds left, after a sack.. and fail to call a time out. Great qbs call that time out regardless of the coach.
He was also excellent against Green Bay and Minnesota.
3:33 RIP
He only scored 19, 20, and 27 points. The defense is what kept it close in rhe packers and lions games. I usually look at it as, if the offense scores less than 20, they were horrible. If they scored 30 or more, they were really good. 20 to 29 they were okay
I know this film is about the play and, since he's only a rookie, that is really encouraging for the future
The defense has been horrible recently
@@ZupanDoesItAllYea it was bad vs Minnesota. But it was good against Detroit. If it wasn't they would not have held them to 23. Detroit should of had 35 but the bears defense made some key stops
He's lucky that lions defender that tried to snap his legs didn't. I don't like that tackle. I know people are like that's how they played in the 80s and 90s. Joe Theismann and Alex Smith had his career ruined because of these type of tackles. I feel like if a defender can he should go for the waist area or any other area besides the legs. Now if they are trying to prevent the player from getting a td I can understand if the last thing to do is a leg tackle but I feel like he didn't have to go low on him like that in that situation.
glazin hard
hes a slept on qb man 🤦🏾♂️
That was Borom not Wright.
That wasnt Darnell. It was #75 Larry Borem. Trash OT
Who else needs a fridge?
So was Eberflus the reason the Bears weren't doing this type of drive in the first half ?
Or is it that Caleb isn't seeing it until the defense has slowed down after a half of football ?
I hope that this gets better now that Flus is gone.
OROTY
Caleb is the most Sacked QB in the league by 10 sacks. He is only 14th in pressures. Caleb has the lowest 3rd down Conversion rate in the NFL. Tyson Bagent has a 3.4% sack %, and a 71.4% 3rd down Conversion rate
Bagent has a small sample size.
tyson bagent also has more interceptions than touchdowns and 10x less talent. this bagent narrative is worse than fields. at least fields was a 1st round pick.
Lmao. Bagent also had more picks in 4 games and doesn’t have adequate arm strength to consistently attack a defense.
On that dump to Dj, Dj didn’t even try blocking and I’ve been seeing him get lazy at times and it annoys me
On that last play of the game, when Caleb saw something and changed the play.
If you have access to All 22 Rome actually gets held just enough to slow him down out of his break towards the pylon, missed flag.
@@IamCogsno surprise. Refs have been missing calls all season that have greatly affected the outcome of games.
Please Repost next Year 12 -1-2025 We Hope you are Right !
Caleb is a younger version of Curt Cousins, nothing all game and then garbage time stats to get them close. In the Lions game in the first half he was horrible!
He wasn't even out there much in the first half. Detroits Offense was chewing up most of the clock in the 1st half.
Also Caleb never threw a int since week 6
buy that man a digital stop watch. Maybe it'll help with with clock management.
Would have won!!?? 😂😂😂😂😂 game was over at 4th n 14 but the refs/NFL threw your team a turkey leg. Losers lose games.
Caleb stans are being way too optimistic with this kid.
“Caleb stans” Most football fans are optimistic about the first overall pick of the draft in his first year in the league. And how couldn’t they be optimistic he already has done things bears fans have never seen from their franchise
Caleb's rookie year has been way better than guys like Josh Allen Jarrod Goff and Matthew Stafford, get lost
HAHAHHAHAHA. He's as average as they come.
U obviously don’t know football kiddo 😂😂😂 Caleb has been great
Je couldnt beat a 4th string lions defence. Tons of bad throws , should have been picked off 3 times. Low 50% accuracy. Of coarse some throws will be good .
First qb to do this good against the lions all season. Also bears have 2nd team oline in and they’re one of the worst oline in the league.
@@catcherboy96really, the Buca beat them , Vikings scored 29, Texans scored 23 , Seattle scored 29. All better than 20.

As a Bears fan, Caleb Williams is not good.
Panics under pressure, misses open receivers, over/under throws passes, is less mobile than Fields was, beta personality (does not lead) and is the worse current rookie QB.

He's so good he didn't need to call a time out himself? Wow. A free thinker, that one!
lol i'd rather have a qb trust their coach then try to play coach. not our fault our coach is a monkey. its faster for the coach to call a TO standing RIGHT next to the ref than the guy in the middle of the field. also, coaches can tell refs "hey im most likely going to call a to at the end of this play", so that the ref will pay attention to them and get the TO called right on the spot.
He’s not allowed to call a timeout , coach’s decision.
Any coach in this the league is calling a timeout the second his rookie qb is sacked the previous play. There’s a reason he was fired
Whatever you gatta tell yourself

That's great. Currently, Caleb is the 4th best QB in the North Division...and it's not even close.

Head to head in the entirety of the game? WHAT? Lions were beating them handily until 4th qtr.
The Bears have always had the Lion’s like that they beat them last year.
The Bears offense didn't do jack shit in the 1st half.
He looks horrific. Can't read defense, can't throw from a good pocket, obviously can't game mange!!! Wtf are u gas lighting?? He should have had 5 ints. Balls were bouncing of lions helmets!!!
And yet he still almost beat the best team in the NFL in their home stadium and he’s the only quarterback to throw more than one TD against the Lions this season….but yeah he sucks.
you don't know football if you think he can't read defenses. that's justin fields. he routinely goes through his progressions.
The very first play is him perfectly reading a defense.
If you don’t like to, dude just say you don’t like him because he paints his nails or something, don’t use fake reasons that the average football fan can just tear apart, easily. Come on guy
@@ronwilson5476They both get sacked a lot and can pick up yards on the ground. Just cut the turnovers in half and multiply the % of games with over 300 yards of passing by 5, then year 3 Fields and game 12 Caleb have the same problem taking too many sacks and while both being adept at scrambling.

There were so many drops and bad penalties by Kmet and Jenkins. Caleb is the real deal. He can finish the season with 4,000 yards
