Just bought the mini! It came today and I'm so excited to see your video! I wanted to make mugs for my brother and sis in law but didn't have the money to buy the mug press (or space) so cool to see it worked with the mini!
no vinyl is actually dishwasher safe bc of the drying heat melt the adhesive pending your dishwasher or if a dishwasher protective is put on the design
ok but for me that im a beginer with the cricut and all.. id like to at least know the materials you are using.. like the type of mug, what was that thing you cleaned it with, ect. Thank you i appreciate your video tho.

I made it with my Cricut Maker.
Cricut Permanent vinyl (and ORACAL 651) is the best on a mug so far from RUclipsrs. (dishwasher safe)
Oracal 651 on a mug is not dishwasher safe

I think HTV is so that its securely on and so it's ok for everyday use. Washing and microwave use?
It seems to stick better through washings.
Because regular vinyl is nothing more than a sticker. You are basically “melting” this on by applying high heat.

Where do I get the clear paper?
It comes attached to the HTV when you buy it, you only cut through the vinyl, leaving the clear paper behind.

That looks like a simple dollar store mug that she then cleaned with rubbing alcohol. But I don’t know what materials she used.
