I dated a hot babe who had the first gen RAV4 - it was cool when it first came out, a lil underpowered, but good enough for a college chick, it was pretty plain by comparison to the newest model. I happen to dig the TOY RAV4, it's like a personal SUV - not meant for pulling your bass boat or camper, no 5 rows, but it has some of THE best of the basics & that as we all know is all a driver really needs. the wheels are extra cool. Hyundai has the warranty that crushes all others, but TOY has the reliability & decent resale value. I wish they did more with the taillights - kinda bland. free breathing a tad over 200HP - good enough to get to Costco & realistic road trips. seats = excellent. interior > JBL sound = good enough to turn the volume up to 8 without busting the bass speakers, door panel seen better, seen worse. dash - clean, functional, good ergonomics, yeah bro big knobs for climate center - air for the buttocks in the 40's not too shabby considering there's car out there that coast 90 with no butt air conditioning. fingerprint proof inside = love. all guy/gal/they need. pano sunroof - bonus, digital rearview mirror - good. it's a small SUV anyone can drive on autopilot. I almost forgot Joe Raiti is married to the foxiest babe of all time. one pocket on the real row - all ya need.did I mention how much Lori has evolved as a professional videographer? don't know how much editing she does, but she is on it - covers all the details as you speak. Lori is good. Joe knows just about everything there is to know about cars - why I've been here for 33 years as a family member. lol. it's an SUV you don't have to fight to drive - it makes driving easy. a lil zippy - it's okay to have some TOY fun. great joint effort, impact fulfilled - tony

Dependability and quality fit & finish at Toyota levels is unfortunately unavailable at Hyundai. Great warranty on the Hyundai though, but you are going to NEED it. With Toyota you won't need that warranty, but you're glad you have it.

Saw the video on the Tacoma and zonked the no remote start. No remote start on the Rav 4 limited should be a bigger zonk. A suv in this price range with all those bells and whistles should have remote start unless Toyota just doesn’t equip any of their vehicles with it. Just my personal preference but i feel a vehicle trim such as a limited trim should be standard equipped with remote start.

@@RaitisRides I know that they change to a thicker orange washer for the roof rail on the late 2021 model, but the rest of the panels apparently still the original washer. Toyota apparently made all the plug-in holes for outside panels all way through the body frame so water leak into the frame when the seal weaken over time, I don't know if they use screws and sealant like Honda did though

Really appreciate your efforts to review all vehicles as they come. Loved the review but definitely reminds me why the Toyota is boring. Definitely nice and have the basics but they are missing that styling even on the new models.
They still feel like driving a refrigerator and still feel bland. Take a look at the new 2022 Kia Sportage for an example. Feels like night a day however I wish the engine and transmission quality was the same as on the Toyota.
End of the day, Toyota is reliability and style is only extra while Kia is the other way around depending on your 100,000 mile warranty.
