What's the profile of the most common serial killer you can think of?
The clown
Hes a sheep.......lives in water,
he got killed tho
I think most of them have a facebook profile.
Jack the ripper.
Necrophiles
Bites off birds heads.....
Doctor: "release him."

Very obviously a great and brilliant idea!
Who could say no?
Ya that makes perfect sense 😂

Is anyone else surprised at how accurate Criminal Minds turned out to be?
I remember reading that a retired FBI agent actually advises some of the writing for the show so it makes sense that its fairly accurate
@@spillthattea88 Criminal minds definitely uses a real cases as the basis for a lot of their killers. That part is kind of cool and it makes you feel in the know as someone who's into true crime. It's just the rest of the show that I had a problem with.
I mean I liked it for a while but it just gets so hokey with this character's turn to have super serious drama!
And the never ending aggrandizing of the fake geek girl Hollywood style super hacker "I'm so quirky, now watch me do this movie style super hacking on what the show writers didn't realize is an analog device. Finally I'll hack into the bad guys smartwatch and somehow manipulate physical reality with my skills."
And I guess you know it's cool and all that they gave the roll to somebody who's not attractive. But it's kind of canceled out when the show seems to go out of its way to show how homely she is. I especially love the giant bedazzled MawMaw glasses they'll sometimes have her wear. But somehow she ends up with a string of hot guys half her weight. Oh, but the hot guys wear glasses so that knocks them down to her level.
IKR if he watch Michelle khare fbi video she interviews the FBI agent he actaully is on criminal minds as a consultant he’s a retired fbi agaent
@@hideousruin 😂😂 ur pretty much correct on all accounts. That’s what happens when a show has over like 2-3 seasons tho. I think 3 seasons is the sweet spot for a show. After that, patterns really start to emerge and things just start to get ridiculous.
@Dr. Suchkind yea it was a FBI agent was literally apart of the project

Mind hunter, criminal minds, forensic files, etc. I watch them all. I either want to be an CSI or a criminal profiler. My cousin went to school for profiling and just had an interview with the FBI last week. She recently got out of school so that gives me hope.

Zodiac killer died along time ago
Zodiac licked his stamps. The gubmint probably already knows who he was by anonymously submitting DNA to genealogy websites.
Night! GG!
Captain Freedom DNA wasn’t available for about 30 years after the zodiac killer. By then the samples had been mishandled by police and would’ve been too degraded for a DNA profile by the time the technology was available even if they had been saved, especially because nobody knew that DNA would be possible so they didn’t bother to preserve the stamps.

Regarding the self reported abuse, I feel like what matters is whether the person believes they were abused or not rather than whether they were objectively abused.
I think that I came very close to falling down the path of a serial killer. As a child I was heavily abused and well I found pleasure in hurting other children and animals. It took a lot for me to realize that it was wrong and I shouldn't do it. If I hadn't been removed from that abusive situation I don't know if I would have stopped using the violence as a coping mechanism.
Childhood head injuries seem to be a factor in many cases, in addition to the common broken home and abuse.
Can you make a video on serial killers that haven't been caught?

@FreeThinking TruthSeeker I know there are killers that are active, but their exploits aren't public knowledge yet. So how can the infographics make a video about them? So my neighbour was a killer (not technically a serial bc he killed 2 people with another man). When they come to arrest him no one told us what’s going on. This happened while I was at school and my mom was home. She told me that it was very strange and she had no clue and I said “Mom this man is a killer”. She was confused and didn’t believed me. On the next day my neighbour was on the news and they said he was a killer. My mom was impressed. Idk how the case is called, but it’s in Bulgaria and the bodies were around Negovan (his name is Plamen Shlyapashki)

10:10 mark. Image resembles Red John from The Mentalist 😂
If someone doesn't develop the logic that a human life is precious then they may think killing is okay. If someone had a horrific experience with someone they may think whoever has that person's job is just like them they may go on a killing spree. I think a huge factor in serial killers is their thought process.

Me: I have no friends and I spend all of my time at home. ☹
The FBI estimates that there are between twenty-five and fifty serial killers operating throughout the U.S. at any given time.
Me: Maybe avoiding people and staying at home isn't such a bad thing. 😬
Jeff. The FBI aren't always accurate in their assessments of unknown subjects nor in estimations such as the one you had provided. I have been studying serial homicides and those responsible for committing them for several decades. And with this nation's current population being over 300 million, I'd suggest that there are at least 200 unidentified serial offenders in operation.
I'm very excited for season 3 of Mindhunter.

Profiling murders is fascinating...we need THESE people, to try and stop THOSE people....
The strangely comforting aspect of the end of the video:
U.S. government sees a problem that endangers its citizens: try to prevent it, even if we are rebuked in our efforts.
The part that's particularly sad, but not surprising (especially today):
Governments like China and Russia see the same threat to their citizens: Have the attitude of "well, we had a few to spare".
Seriously, whether you love or hate a government, having some sense of caring for your citizens is part of the role when a person takes a political office.
Imagine at the beginning if the smaller guy pulled out a gun! XD
I feel like a decent amount of people close to killers would have never thought or suspected that the person was capable of being a serial killer
This is what I'm going to college for.
The trauma from Bundys childhood may have been discovering that his childhood was a lie. The whole “who is my mother” thing. Just sayin. It’s not whether we find it traumatic, it is how he perceived it that makes the trauma.
Well, that and his grandfather was an abusive, violent drunk probably had a lot to do with how he turned out given that his grandparents raised him in his early years. His mother would have gotten the earlier years when there might have been some humanity left in the man, or at least not as violent/less alcoholism. Later years, with set patterns and a few decades of substance abuse eroding inhibition and compassion, who knows what Bundy's first years were really like, other than he did show problems when young. Even just watching a lot of violence towards an abuser's intimate partner at very young ages can warp a young mind into believing that this is how things are when there is no other examples/correction, and it doesn't seem like he got any help.
Bundy often gets romanticized a lot. He was a psychopathic narcissist and liked to see himself as brilliant, charming, suave and that's how he played himself up as. However, he had at most just above average intelligence (seen in his okay grades and medicore LSAT), had a bunch of maladaptive social behaviors, and police suspected him for quite sometime, they just had a lack of evidence, not helped that his crimes took place throughout seven states in the 70s. Also, several police departments had too much incompetence, which further hindered the process. Bundy was actually pretty carless while committing crimes.
While in modern times he gets touted as a brilliant killer who looked like a handsome normal boy next door - that really isn't the truth but I bet he'd be thrilled he was remembered that way.

This video is like a drinking game...every time the narrator says motus operandi, or MO, take a drink! You'll be wasted by the 5 minute mark!
Nerds must drive profilers crazy. They are habitually messy, but at the same time, they are lethally organized when it comes to writing software or designing machines and/or devices. They are often loners, too. Profilers will have to invent a 'disorganized-organized' Serial Killer category to cover the special case of 'nerds'.
