Imagine how the conversation must've gone.
"Mom, what happened to my brother?"
"Oh you know that nice couple a few doors down? Well they kidnapped him and ate him before you were born."
This guy was just straight up CRAZY! He deserved what he got in the end! Could you imagine what could’ve happened if the courts just let him go into the families of his victims
Amnesty international and Human rights watch disagree with any killings of any human being. No matter what their crime.
Bullet to the back of the head is hardly any punishment. Its just lights out.
He might have ended up killing more people, even with handcuffs he would probably still be dangerous.
@@thundafundamentalist gross
@@thundafundamentalist don’t care what Amnesty thinks. A man who murdered 56 kids and women should be killed himself in the most horrifying way as possible
Sad for all the young people he killed, but great work to that last boy who fought back.
RIP to all the victims. :(
They all fought back but chikatilo was used to it so he knew he what to do
They all fought back, but he targeted women and children simply because they're weaker... he knew a grown up man might overpower him.
And the criminal who was shot by the sworn in killers
The psychiatrist’s report was really impressive
Right? Really cool.
Considering that's what they went to school for, I should hope so. Nowadays, people go into psychology because they think it's an easy course to take with no math or technicality.
@@kevinkchao8 when they don't rkky use advanced math, only basic math sometimes
I was about to say that, the 65 pages report was dead on accurate about him.
Agreed
That psychiatrist put all of it together so easily and I don’t know how...
I'm no psych but a decent cop can usually get a general feel for potential offenders depending on offences committed etc
Working around psych patients and being a big people person I can tell what mental disorders people have by the way they act and mannerisms before I see the chart sometimes. It's just a big feeling plus experience.
Basically criminal minds

The serial killer is haha lol
The detective's assessment of Andrei Chikatilo was very impressive.
What's even more disturbing is he even did live interviews with reporter's at some of the locations describing the kills and his techniques!!

Last podcast on the left. If you like serial killer storytelling, those guys are great.

Suspiciously great..........
The most interesting part about this killer and something that never gets talked about is how he had a ton of male AND female victims. Usually these types of killers have a certain type they go after.
That’s what’s always made him one of if not the worst serial killers to me. He didn’t care who it was. Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, Jeffrey Dahmer, and most others all had a type or look they targeted. This guy didn’t care. Very frightening.
@@Moom20 read or watch video about Alexander Spesivtsev, Siberian ripper, that killed 82 people, most of them are kids

I seriously doubt this was Russia's first serial killer , probably just happened close enough to the end of the Soviet union thst we know about him.

Yep that’s how the world and reporting things works
"All right, so why are there so few serial killers in Mexico?" JJ asked as she changed the subject back to it.
"They probably have as many as we do, but they document almost none of them." Hotch told her.
"Why is that?"
"It's the Chikatilo syndrome." Gideon said.
"The what?"
"Andre Chikatilo. One of the most prolific serial killer of the 20th century. By the time they found him, he had killed more than 50 people." Reid explained.
"He was no more experienced than any average serial killer, but he lived in the Soviet Ukraine. The soviets were convinced, the serial killer is a uniquely American phenomenon. Inevitable result of decadent capitalism." Gideon added.
Morgan chuckled.

@@ELIGG15 you ever watched this series called “criminal minds” ?
Each time I watch these serial killers "how did they get caught" I just realize more and more that the cops are absolutely useless 90% of the time.
Most cops are not exactly the smartest people you'll meet, the police test is a joke, and this results to more corrupt cops than cops that actually care about their job.
Hindsight is 20/20. It's a tough job.
He's seriously one of the worst I've ever read/learned about and I'm pretty well-read in true crime and serial killers. A horrible human, but a fascinating psychological study.
I was about to say the same thing. Many years ago (long before the internet) I got interested in what the FBI back then called the behavioral science unit. So I've read about/studied many, many serial killers. For some reason Chikatilo aways stands out in my mind.
I think that Richard Chase is also a gruesome case, but psychologically he is simpler example

I just live in Rostov-on-Don. Moreover, to get to the very places where the bodies were found costs nothing for the average resident of the center of this city.

This is one of the most famous murderers, which all the former countries of the USSR know about.

Chikatilo is the best-known serial killer from USSR. But actually there were a lot of murders and killers. USSR just kept it hush-hush. E.g. we just covered the story of the first serial killer in Ussr on our channel.

It’s about time you finally did this guy, you haven’t mentioned him since the chessboard killer video!
I think you should make a video about the man with the upside down face. I saw that you did a video about Hendrickson's other creations such as cartoon cat and siren head and figured I would ask for that as a recommendation. I think it would be a cool video to watch since even though cartoon cat is Henderson's most feared creation, the man with the upside down face is obviously the most cruel.
Am I the only one who googles these killers after completing these videos?

Wow ,what a monster and to think he just kept getting away with it because of an incorrect profile ,and that gave him time to get better at it ,so thank God he was caught and as for his victims , I hope at least a good few haunt him while he is awake and sleeping.
