For anyone out there wondering if this guitar is as good as it seems, yes, yes it is. Had mine for a few months now and I love every single thing about it apart from the fact that I had to have a few high frets levelled initially. But you could spend twice as much on a guitar and still get unlucky with some high frets. And I have no doubt that if it said Fender on the headstock instead of Squier, it would indeed cost twice as much. Oh and btw, just roll back on the nicely tapered volume pot to get sweet clean tones.

Me myself been playing almost 40 years and this i great for that Stern, Scofield, Robben Ford nice breakup tone. The clean is nice too. Very impressed cause I didn't want to spend a lot and got more than I expected. Kudos squier for upping your game!
I just picked one up used for 380. Amazing purchase. I used to have a showmaster super strat out of the custom shop. It had a tele neck of course and I lost it due to life circumstances and such. I missed this feel on the neck so bad. The tuners are amazing too! Great instrument for the mid range price level that punches FAR above its weight.

One thing that wasn't mentioned in this video is that it cleans up incredibly well from the volume knob. It's much more usable than my Les Paul in that regard.
This is a wonderful guitar. It, and my G&L Fallout are pretty much all I need in my Electric Arsenal. Most demos show this played hard, metal and rock. It sounds great played clean, country and jazz chords. Great review, as stated and demonstrated, Big Sounds. Don't get one cause I want them all! LOL. If you're on the fence, go for it. Great guitar at a reasonable price.
Was thinking of getting a cv tele and putting noiseless pickups in it but the way these pickups have a lot of high end and being humbuckers has 100% convinced me on this
Here we are in 2025, and I'm appreciative for your review. These seem to be holding their value well. I'm grabbing one of the limited releases with the spalted maple top for $350 tomorrow. I've been looking for something that was a swiss army knife, and it seems like this can really do a bit of everything, and do it quite well.
I'm thining of picking one up. I need a fixed bridge guitar tuned to D standard, sometimes drop C to play in church and this might be right up my alley. Pickups seem a bit on the hot side.
Great stock guitar generally, even better as a modding platform. 12" radius, roasted maple, SH format with no pickguard, all great. I have the Pearl White finish, which is fantastic. The only real issue I have had (besides taste in pickups etc) is the intonation on the low string when using a 60 gauge string. There are definite limits in terms of how far you can adjust the intonation. With a 60 you have to go all the way back but the ferrule is too far forward and everything starts to bind up. I've switched mine out to a Babicz for this reason but the screw pattern on the Squiers is different from both the 3-screw and 4-screw Fender bridges so be prepared to drill new mounting screw holes if you change bridges. Also be very careful with screws and drills on roasted maple, e.g. drilling for different tuners or string trees. You need a really careful and slow approach to avoid cracking the headstock. The wood is hard and kind of brittle
I found intonating to be easier with graph tech saddles on a tele. Idk why. I didn't get them for that reason. But they seemed to allow for a greater range of saddle position for sufficient intonation as compared with the brass saddles, which had a very narrow range. Both were compensated. But I could seemingly position the saddles all the way up or back and the string would be in tune at the 12. The only thing I would change on this is the nu metal black hardware. It looks cheap and doesn't pop.
Glad to read that...as my first thought was 'ill grab one and put a babicz bridge in it' however, I dont really trust myself drilling holes, so maybe I will look for another model. Intonation is key for me!!

damn, Squier and Epiphone are both stepping up their game. they better. they've got all those smaller import guitars coming out that are cheaper and full of bang for your buck. good to see. this tele is right up my alley and it's on order. lol
That rail humbucker is way to hot, even clean there is distortion. Just my opinion but this guitar is strictly rock and metal. To hot for anything else.
@@264boresteve 3 months old, but yeah. Rolling down the volume a bit cleans it up quite a bit. If you want classic Tele twang though this probably isn’t your bag. I’m loving it so far though.

I recently bought a $1600 Am Strat and it even had a couple of high spots on the upper frets. I love everything else on it, but come on FENDER!

Great demo. I love how the rail pickup just sounds like it wants to go in clean. Sounds absolutely ferocious when it's driven.

Picked up one used at Guitar Center for 279 plus tax. Not a nick or scratch. Set up perfectly.

I get a perfect country tone out of mine. This cat uses rock tones.
