    Played one of these today and WOW these are on a completely different level. They feel and sound much more expensive than they are. I hope they are here to stay because Squier knocked it out of the park.

    I bought a lightly used one at MGR today. It played better than anything at the shop under 800$. Playability and feel is amazing. In that price range it doesn’t get much better.

    Great sounding Squier, seems like a heck of a guitar for the price. Thanks for the review.

    Alright! 30 seconds in and my question has already been answered. "Can this guitar get dirty?" Yes! I had to watch three other videos before learning this. Squier has some cool stuff lately. New in June '23 is the Squier Paranormal Stratosonic with P90-like single coils. I'd like to have both of these guitars!

    Hope they will not stop producing them too quickly. That's my go-to strat when I'll get bored of my LP.

    About the roasted maple, sure, but more importantly it's stable and imo it FEELS GOOD in your hand. Not sure if it really sounds different but i do prefer it.

    It would have been cool if the pickups and control knobs were also black, considering the bridge, pickguard and tuners are.

    I've been wanting to play one of these really bad. I play a lot of different stuff from blues to metal and was wondering how this guitar would hold up for playing metal on.

    I wonder how would it sound if you switched the bridge and middle pickup with two hot rails

  • @jeffreyarnold2843

    Played one at GC today and really liked it. I notice he tries to hide the buzzing on the single coil settings by playing right away and turning the volume off immediately when done. Nice try but you can hear it. Might want to swap for noiseless pickups.

    • @bluwng
      @bluwng Год назад

      You speculate to much. What does buzzing mean and why would he hide it? Most likely action is to low, you assume the instrument has some imperfection like in level frets.

      @@bluwng he means the 60 cycle hum lol

  • @RedDed228
    @RedDed228 2 года назад +4

    Wait so it doesn't have the ability to have just the bridge pickup? I mean it's cool tho making two separate single coils pair up to be a humbucker that's tight. Even tho that's technically what a hum is it's still cool to see it done like this.

    • @johncecilia4517
      @johncecilia4517 2 месяца назад

      I agree should have the bridge single coil too, that's the best sounding position.

    I have to watch this video now and then just to hear what I bought if I was playing good. For me as an old beginner it‘s like lightyears away. 😂

    Just got one,swapped bridge and middle pu wires. Result...p1 bridge s.coil ,p2 out of phase unusable,p3 all 3 thin sound but ok for funky rhythm,p4 neck and bridge tele sound good, p5 usual neck pu but good nonetheless. I'm no tech and I'm sure that switch could spit out some other interesting sounds. Experiment. Good workmanship and value compared to other Frender models. Contemp Jaguar next...

    killing me with that tonewood bullshit ahahahaha. definitely don't talk about how much more stable roasted maple is, which is the main benefit of the torrefaction, or talk about how incredibly smooth the neck is, mention how it affects the tone haha

    A roasted neck won't change the sound... A pickup cannot sense that.
