I got one as soon as they came out and it’s now 2024 and it’s still my favorite fk around guitar 🎸. Didn’t change anything but strings. It’s a great guitar and the parallel switch works good on clean settings but wide open you don’t notice anything but screaming 😂 Hats off to Squire for creating such a mythical little dragon 🐉

When I first heard it I had planned on swapping out the pickups with Seymour Duncan’s SH8 invaders but when I got it , it had a tone of its own So I never changed them I left it as it was and found out they can adapt to most anything. So I picked up a Paranormal series and swapped out those for EMGs .. which makes that one truly a heavy original too.. Anyways for the sale price it’s a great guitar 🎸. Made well and a solid foundation if you wanna mod it.. the baked maple neck has a tone in between a maple and a rosewood fretboard warm with bite.. Good luck on your search bro!

Epiphone or squire with a trip to a lutherer beats any factory fresh gibson or fender fact every made in usa I buy has to got straight to lutherer to be playable rather put same upgrades on an epiphone or squire and its bullet proof
i am thinking this may turn into my first jaguar. it mixes things like of the jaguar (all the circuits and most of the looks) and has a gazillion options. which comes handy if you wanna use it both as a rhythm and a lead guitar,just switching it's wiring. I've also heard they have way less fret sprout problems due to the baked maple neck (althought they don't bake the fretboard wood, maybe they are having better QC with this series somehow)
You will love this guitar!!! I just walked in to GC in Jax FL and saw this behind the counter as in a trade in…. Asked if I could play it….. it is a badass guitar and plays great out of the box. I got it for 389…. It has the thick body or full size… and the short scale neck and the 12 degree radius with big frets….. it is the best guitar I ever just picked up!!! Better get one man!!!

Hey did you get yours? I really want this one but I am afraid the neck is thin like most Squiers. I like something that fills the hand a bit better like a Gibson or the j mascis squier I own and love. I'm not big on the small necks they're putting on everything for the paranormals. I love that they put jumbos on this though

People seem to not understand that series/parallel means how the pickups are wired to each other. Choosing series/parallel and one pickup means you have changed nothing.
So is there a left hand version considering if it wasn’t for a certain left handed guitarist, none of these versions of the Jag would ever have been made 🤷🏼♂️

I do gig with both.. blues sound great on my California Phat Strat HSS MY ESP and WOLFGANG Shreds on my 5150 tone wise chunky as fk Unless you’ve actually played this jaguar you can’t really judge it. It works wonderful clean and wide open on a Marshall or 5150 if your settings are right One thing I did though .. I got a paranormal series Jag cause I liked the neck and setup, I did change pickups to EMGs active and HOLY SH/t!🤙🏾
I think it means that the wiring of the two coils of an individual humbucker are switched between series and parallel, rather than the two humbuckers in relation to each other.
I would think so, but I’ve been confused about this switching system. I didn’t hear any difference either. I have not been able to find any clear information about how exactly this thing is wired.
@@jamesduckworth9117 I cancelled the order on that guitar. It isn't coming and kept getting delayed, month after month. I got a Gretsch with their new P90 Fideli'Tron pups. They're killer. I will likely put the Duesenberg on my Les Paul.

Got an email saying it was July. Got another saying it was still on track for July. Went on a camping trip and got an email that it was pushed back to August. I just emailed my rep and told him I'm probably cancelling the order. At this point in tired of waiting. I'm gonna go after something else.
Now you got me wondering… Exactly what is roasted maple versus unroasted maple? Where will I find the answer? Google of course! All the answers can be found there!
I'm sure you have found the info but: the roasting process makes the neck more stable and less sensitive to temperature changes etc. the result is more tuning stability. To me it also darken the sound a little.
Several videos about this guitar later “yes, I know it has a roasted maple neck I just want to hear people play it differently or like I would”. Drives me crazy that all these videos start with general info about the guitar. I spend so much time scanning ahead that I wish they would play it first and then talk. After watching the fist one, we all get it. We definitely don’t need to hear about the maple neck 400 times.

I think you forgot to mention as with all Jaguar guitars this guitar is a 24 inch scale. An important point.

Whatever is causing the yellow reflection in the switch plate is making it look a very putrid color of gold.

That particular one has a really horrible looking fretboard. Indian Laurel really is hit or miss
