  • My first RUclips upload ever...in honor of all the tool box tour videos I have enjoyed I bring to you my 56" Harbor Freight private shop tool box packed!
    Yes I realize how strong my accent sounds on camera now esp. at the beginning. Also it was very late when I was filming this and who knows what I was saying at some points for eg. when I said I worked for a major factory I meant a dealership and its clearly a inner tie rod tool. I'm very new to talking on camera but it doesn't matter I hope everyone enjoys!

    Great use of the space you have! Nice. Genuine review, look how you loaded that top drawer, great example of how the HF box will support XS weight and it didn't look like it took much effort to close the drawer! You demonstrated alot more than you realize in this video!!!

    I use my boxes as a mobile workbench in my workshop. Easier and quicker to bring tools to the job. I made a pretty cool top for mine that the makers don't sell. The top I made is a one inch thick bot top. On either end pulling a handle pulls out extending worktop! This allows me to double the amount of worktop space I have on my jobs. Each half has been tested to 100 lbs so plenty strong enough for my needs. Simply slide in at end of job. Main top is stainless steel,1/8" thick and heavy duty rubber on the sides.
    You got a great box there mate,a real working box for sure!

    I’m a aircraft mechanic and I️ move my tool box around everyday. I️ am thinking of buying the us general 56. Do you think it will hold up over time moving it every day?

    I like those MAC precision torque wrenches too. I think some people don't like them just because they are made in Taiwan. I have a set of Dewalt ones with the same style open end at home (also made in Taiwan) and they have been great so far. Awesome setup, thanks for the tour!

      I worked with jack stands for a long long long time. To the point where i had 2 big jacks on each side of the bay just to make things quicker. i got so used to working with pro lifts at work i got fed up and decided it was time for my own. they are not expensive at all on CL. Make sure its an ALI (American Lift Institute) lift and your good because parts are usually cheap. I will deff do a shop tour soon thanks a lot for checking out the vid

    Thanks for the vid. I am kind of considering picking up a 44in HF box for the shop. The only thing stopping me is the depth of the drawers. It just seems so shallow. Currently there is a filled 26in craftsman top and bottom, 56in snap on Krl and a 5drawer HF roll around that I work out of. However everything is filled to the brim and I need more space. I was thinking the HF because it won't ever move so flex and such isn't to big a deal. Anyhow what do you think of the depth. Does it drastically hinder the capacity in your opinion?

    • @2012Ryan240sx
      @2012Ryan240sx  7 лет назад +1

      whats up matt. you know its funny you say that about the depth because i was worried about the same thing when i bought it. I was worried i would have sets that wouldn't fit. Fortunately for me it was NOT an issue at all. my snap on box is a newer krl 54" which has a depth of 23".The harbor freight is 22". not much diff at all. To be honest the smaller drawers on the HF box have more height than the small drawers on my snap on. They can hold more thanks for viewing.
