Thank you, I have a cross stitch project that has one very long back stitch line using a single strand of thread and no other stitches nearby to anchor it to. The first line method you showed was perfect for what I needed 👍
I think I got it at Michael's. I link to a similar one in this post: cutesycrafts.com/2018/08/5-essential-hand-embroidery-supplies.html. It's a floor stand, but I took out some of the pieces to make it fit on my table. I like to hold my hoops when I stitch, but it made for some really shakey video. :D
Are knots the safest way to secure stitches? Let’s say, for embroidery on a t-shirt that’s gonna go in the drying machine? Thanks so much for this video ❤️
I link to it in this post: cutesycrafts.com/2018/08/5-essential-hand-embroidery-supplies.html. I took out some of the pieces during assembly so I could use it on a table for filming, instead of the floor.
For method 2 as long as it’s an even # does it still work? So I could start with 2 threads fold them to make 4 and it would still work? This was very helpful! Thank you
It's similar to the one in my supply list here: cutesycrafts.com/2018/08/5-essential-hand-embroidery-supplies.html This one is made for the floor, but I took some pieces out of it to put on the table for filming.
I like to use the second method because I feel it is the most secure. Of course, you'll need to work in even numbers, but you can always change a pattern to use 2 or 4 strands instead of 3.
Oh, thank you! My polish NEVER lasts, so I have to film immediately after doing my nails. These were Color Street nail polish strips that I got from a friend that was selling them. Still didn't last any longer than polish. Haha!
Cutesy Crafts Thank you for the reply! I understand your frustration with polish. For me, sitting still while it dries is my biggest issue. I have to be doing something all of the time. I will give the strips a try. Maybe, they are the solution to my problem. Keep making the videos. I love them.
Yes, it should be. To be sure, I like to iron a backing on anything that will be washed a lot. One of the ones in this post would work: cutesycrafts.com/2020/07/the-best-backing-for-embroidery.html
Are any of these best for clothes? I don’t understand how going under the thread in the end could make it stay. I just need to know how to make sure my art doesn’t come undone on the clothes at all!!😭
I like the second method best for washing. If you are really worried, then tie a knot at the end, it's okay. I have a post about what you can iron over the back to protect it when you're done: cutesycrafts.com/2020/07/the-best-backing-for-embroidery.html
That second one was so mind blowing! Like, thats so smart!
YYYAAAASSSS, best video explaining how to avoid knots
Thank you! Glad you liked it. :)
Could you show what embroidery stand you use please - I like the way you can turn your work over with it!
you just saved me so much time and frustration! thank you! ❤️
Thank u! I use the second method often. Just didn't know how to finish.
Thank you! Super informative. I’m going to be trying this today.
Thank you,

Knots: *exist*
Cutesy Crafts: Im 'bout to end this man's whole career

Thanks for your detailed explanation. It's help me a lot.
Which one would you recommend for French knot?
The second one makes me amused😂 why didnt i think of that🤔🤣
Thank you for the tutorial. Can you tell me where you got the hoop holder? It looks pretty handy.
Busybeeisme I have the same question!
I want one!

This might be the best suggestion yet. Seems like you save more thread.

I’ve watched tons of videos, and some people say it’s actually very possible that the knot loosens easily
Sooooo helpful thank you! I’ve been knotting for years because that’s how my mom did it, but the knots always show and it drives me crazy.
What is that frame that's holding the hoop? I need one of those.

Thank you for this video, it helped me a lot!
Which method would you recommend for the satin stitch?
Any except the first method would probably work well. The second method is probably my favorite since it takes the least amount of time.
Would the first stitch hold during a wash? It seems like it would fall out.
For method 2 as long as it’s an even # does it still work? So I could start with 2 threads fold them to make 4 and it would still work? This was very helpful! Thank you
Yep, just needs to be an even number.
This was so very helpful! Easy to understand and follow.
What kind of embroidery hoop stand do you use?

Which of these is best suited for clothing or hand towels, that will be washed frequently?
I like to use the second method because I feel it is the most secure. Of course, you'll need to work in even numbers, but you can always change a pattern to use 2 or 4 strands instead of 3.
That technique I use with the cross stitch :) no knots!
Yep, that's where I learned it. :)

What nail polish are you wearing? I love your videos!

Is it safe to start embroidery without a knot, particularly for t-shirts/hoodies that will be washed a lot? Is it that secure?
Yes, it should be. To be sure, I like to iron a backing on anything that will be washed a lot. One of the ones in this post would work: cutesycrafts.com/2020/07/the-best-backing-for-embroidery.html

Is there a way to start and end embroidery without using the back fabric of a two fabric cloth?
Hmmm... maybe with the 4th tiny anchor stitches method to start. I can't think of how you'd do that for stopping though.
@@CutesyCrafts I'll give that one a try, thank you !!
I think this is best for double sided embroidery if you’re doing this on clothes then go ahead and knot it lol
