When I watch what he's done over the last 3 games, it makes me furious when people say "He makes plays with his legs" or "O'Connell is a statue". Dude is indecisive with the ball, stares down receivers, throws the ball late, is not highly accurate, looks at the rush instead of making reads, runs around in circles until he gets sacked. Aidan obviously has so much better command of the offense, is more decisive and gets the ball out quicker. Sorry, but we know what Minshew's ceiling is, and we're living it right now. Raiders offense like most is based on timing, when minchew runs his receivers are open when minchew looks they're covered, a fraction of a second to late, so this is what you get extending the play? another thing he has a tendency of holding the ball to long again a fraction of a second to late, One comparison I will make AOC will take a hit but will get the ball to his receiver if he was worried about taking a hit then he would probably run
    like minchew does.

How dare you watch the film Carl! Lol! Film never lies. Great job detailing your observances.
My personal scouting report from Training Camp, which is from a coaches point of view and not a beat writer who has never coached, detailed Minshew's practices as an impatient hurried progression reader, erratic and sloppy eye discipline and pocket presence. Will sprinkle a good well executed play about 10-20% of the time. He specializes on completing the outlet pass which will produce a high completion % on the stat line. Big concern is lack of consistent ability to see 2nd and 3rd level reads.
After 3 games and a little under 12 quarters of play, his performance hasn't changed my scouting report.
AP obviously feels that type of Qb play merits the Qb1 job and continued opportunities to start for this team.

I don’t get some peoples logic. I’m not saying for sure Getsy doesn’t have any blame. But this is a QB driven league.
When you think of teams playing in the Playoffs or the SB, you don’t think “oh it’s this OC vs this OC which one will draw up better plays?” When the off season begins, you don’t think “oh let me see which free agent OCs are out there, our record was bad.” No one says, “let’s not draft the best available QB, we need the 8th best QB prospect because he fits our OC scheme the best.” When you think of the greatest QBs of all time, is it because of the way they played the game, or do you think of the OC and say they had the best plays for that player succeed. I can carry on but I hope you get my point.

it's much deeper Business Decisions AP is telling the players it's out of his hands. AP is a players coach he motivates players he takes players and makes them better on the field. AP telling players Telesco will have his job and Getsey job and the whole coaching staff walking papers when players don't show up for games. These players are under contract AP is telling them it's his job to make sure the players are playing 100% on the field if injury get off the field the next guy up. Telesco not seeing it 100 % on the field on Panthers game. AP telling the players they are making a business decision to get traded , cut and replaced before Telesco starts signing free Agents who want to play. If they can't play for AP they basically out. AP has a job to do and the players aren't doing it. It's a chemistry problem it's the players are not putting in the effort for what ever reason. They just need to focus on what the staff put together make it work. If it's power block your ass off for the backs. If your on defense play your ass off. Minshew has to read the open receiver. Raiders need yo focus ripping out the ball on defense. Linebackers and Defensive backs don't get burnt bt backs and TE and receivers.

@@elmorelee1140 fans were complained about Minshew when he played at Jacksonville and had a couple avg/bad games. Foles came in and was worse. I never seen Minshew with a fumble first game and interception 3rd game must have been miscommunication or a bad route. Raiders great Eric Allen said these players haven't played together much.

I don't think changing the QB is going to turn us around. Our O line is terrible. 2.8 yds per Carry isnt going to cut it. If Gardner Minshew hasn't been effective after 5 games, then give AOC a shot . Or sign an o line.

That’s happened multiple times this season but Dalton wasn’t hanging on to the ball. He was hiking and popping the ball out of there. Minshew need to trust his receivers and his arm. Take advantage of what the defense gives you. I’m starting to think he is shell shocked. If he can’t cut it and the pressure is too much put the kid in. Have AOC know he has a stopwatch in his head for 2 seconds. Tom Brady, one I totally hate to bring up, was the master at getting the ball out. Hell all of the the elite QB’s minus Allen and Jackson do that. Football isn’t that hard we have weapons. Use them!!!!

I hate to have contradiction among Raider Nation theirs a reason Minshew is playing and not AOC. Getsey scheme is set for Aaron Rogers hit players on the run use the side arm throw at times if Bowers or Zeus drop passes it takes the players time to learn how to catch Minshew has throw ball has spin like its coming hard but then it's a sinker. I agree Getsey called a great game Minshew could of been better on the deep throws but Minshew is the Aaron Rogers not AOC. Getsey wants Minshew for sure. That means Raiders fans if your change your thinking to the Raiders OC Getsey get behind Minshew like me. "Just WIN BABY!" Al Davis. AOC not starting no matter what until Minshew not Getsey QB who cares about what other opinions there are it's Getsey call on Offense who the QB is to play. The defense look better today! The Offense look way better today! We Raiders are 2 and 2 baby!
