Best hobby ever created, I have so much to learn.
You and me both dude! Thanks for watching!
racing in the sim got me out of a rut over a year ago, and im still racing to this day! its tons of fun and it rlly leveled up my
flying for sure
I think racing is VERY underrated for how much it can help literally any style of flying. It teaches precision and speed in a way that nothing else can!
Packs on packs on packs
So much to learn in FPV perse. Flying skills, building quads, tuning and even video editing.
So much! It’s like 4 hobbies in one, and it’s part of why I love it!
Man, I am new to FPV and i have not managed to get my first flight!!! agree, so much to learn....
Just be patient, it'll happen eventually! Biggest thing to remember about this hobby is that rarely will you get anything right the first time, but that's ok! All part of the process!
@@propabilityfpv Yes sir, thank you. I am in that process....
Good video man. While I've only been flying for 1.5 years, ive had a period well it felt like i hit a plateau (especially with my freestyle). Personally, the thing that really broke me out of that rut was joining a little racing league. I never really had any interest in racing before, but the racing skill has undoubtedly elevated my freestyle as well. You got a new sub here!
Glad to have you! And that’s really good to hear. Racing isn’t personally for me, but there’s absolutely no denying its usefulness as a training tool for general flight skills. So even though you won’t catch me at a race on the weekends, I still try to log a few hours in the sim racing every so often!
The single obstacle challenge is something I do from time to time.. It really does level you up... And it's not easy especially if you are trying to keep a flow going. It's easy enough to do a trick and then do another trick but to keep a flow going doing multiple tricks around a single object is difficult.
Very difficult! I think it really helps teach momentum control in a way not many other methods do. Great way to learn how to flow as well!
Another thing you can do is set a goal for something you arent comfortable with and spend a whole pack practing it over and over.. i'm a big believer in trick packs.. no recording or flow.. just practicing the trick over and over.
Great one!!
Nice tips man. One thing I e been messing with lately is changing my camera angle and rates to something way different then I usually do. It forces you to adapt and u end up just finding different ways to do things by accident.
Oh I like that one!
Seems like I'm at that point. So I just Cruz easy now, for something different.
Lol whatever works for you man!
Flying the same spot kept me in a rut for a long time, to get gud its gonna take a lot of crashing.
Sooooo true
Nice skills bro, i saw a video of Joshua B trying sbang style .. if you want to …. I am not at this level at all i am starting struggling with rates … i have an avata 2 and a 5” with o3 unit , could you share your rates? I want to get better but trying sim feels way different that real life where i live almost everywhere there are a lot of wires most of the flights i do end up being more cinematic or cruising that freestyle because of the freaking wires or water near me , i want to be able to control my quad better
Oh man, i've been there so I feel your pain lol. I use Actual Rates in Betaflight:
Center Sensitivity (All axes): 150
Max Rate (All axes): 800
Expo (All axes): 0.50
I'd caution against using a max rate that high if you're just starting out though. Biggest thing you'll want as a beginner is a nice loose and forgiving mid-range, so maybe .5 expo and 150 center sensitivity like mine, but turn the max rate down to 600-700 or so. That should give you less twitchy, more precise control!
@@propabilityfpv thank you very much , i will give them a try and let you know or post a clip and tag you ! Thanks for sharing …keep posting!
What camera angle are you running there? It looks pretty low. Maybe try increasing the angle a little and see how that affects your flying?
25deg. Its not low for freestyle lol
@@propabilityfpv Oh that's higher than I thought. The props appearing mid frame threw me off I guess.
I hit the plateau, but then I joined tyrants prowhooper and pro whooper boot camp. It forces you to do tricks you just don't think of when you're flying AND it forces you to do those tricks left AND right. I was a 80% left pilot, not it's closer to 60%
I am trying to break the “right turn rut” that I’m in. I’m more comfortable turning right. I’m forcing myself to do some left hand turns.
Interesting, I haven’t heard of that. Sounds like a great idea though!
