@@MundeyYoungCoaching appreciate the follow up and offer! I think we're going with Spain's DNV due to my wife being able to get Spanish citizenship in 2 years and speaking Spanish fluently.
France will be our backup :)

Would I need to show proof of funds totaling a year? Or enough funds showing last 3 months of income? Thanks

The longer duration of proof of funds you can show the better

France is a territorial tax system, so ALL foreign source income that tax residents of France earn is not taxed if the foreign company is NOT managed and controlled in France. Control is defined in France's CFC rules as over 51% control of shares and voting rights. This is important information to know for those living in France with foreign companies.

The French government is absolute disorganization! We came to France on "temporary protection" status for Ukrainian Citizens. I have been in France on this status for almost a year, applied back in October of last year for a Talent visa that is still processing for almost eight months now! Two months ago, France asked for proof that I am earning income on this visa type that I applied for, to show that I am satisfying visa income requirement for a visa that I do not even have yet!! Crazy. My wife and I are going to move to Spain in another month if France doesn't give us our visa, because Spain will give us a digital nomad visa. Goodbye France,)
