Welcome in Tadjikistan ! Now I'm in Peru, and nobody yell me "welcome in peru". I really miss Tadjiks hospitality, here are no way to be invited. I'm heading 5000m pass, quite challenging. Hope your fine. See you on road.

Wow! You're in Peru! I'm glad you're continuing cycling! Did you fly from Almaty to Lima? I've been to some really nice places in Peru especially in the north by Chachapoyas and Lamud! But if you head south towards Chile...don't miss Arequipa!! Bienvenido a Peruuuuuuuu :)

Nice film! - Well done with all your adventures :) There appears to be several route options out of Dushanbe to Khorog - can you please share which route you chose and why? - I'm assuming you wanted quieter roads, but looks like a lot of climbing right away?? Thanks.

Thanks for the kind words! There are several options and I chose the most scenic based off other travelers I met in Dushanbe. It was also the most difficult with that mountain pass but wasn’t too bad. The hardest part for me was battling bacterial infections/parasites. My stomach was roughed up, which is why I took 10 days off in Khorog!

@@plantpoweredcyclist7978 Thanks for the reply. Yes, it appear many travellers in that region end up having stomach issues of some kind :( I'm heading to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in 10 days with my bike and I plan to be in the region for 3 months - the stomach thing has me worried!! Any advice or tips on how to avoid apart from the obvious?? I'll filter / treat all my water and be careful with basic hygiene, but I'm assuming the food you're served and it's preparation is the major culprit?

@@stephenhammond3656 Yeah you’re 100% spot on. Do your best to take proper precautions but a trip to Central Asia without a stomach bug or two isn’t a real one ;) it’s all part of the journey so I’d recommend seeing it as part of the process and for what it is! You’ll get lost in the vastness and beauty of the area and not focus on the what could happen! Enjoy it bro and please share your experience when all said and done!
