Just a little tip from a long time sewer here: washing and drying the fabric before cutting and sewing it will give you the greatest result! If we wash the garment after we sew it may shrink, if we wash it before we will know for sure it cannot shrink any further. I hope this will be of help in your fruitful sewing journey 😉🤗💪Bravissima!
Your makes are looking SO GOOD! 😍 so proud of you with your sewing journey too, and appreciate you sharing. I started sewing about a year ago and I feel like I learn so much with each garment. Like knitting, there is so much to learn. I love that you created a measurement conversion too! In Canada we’re also on the metric system, except I find everything comes in imperial so we almost have to mix and max. It gets confusing 😂. Also love the idea of wood buttons/toggles for your Esther Jacket and your intuition 👌🏼. Hope you have a wonderful day
thank you so much for the lovely and positive comment! I’ve been enjoying sharing that part of my creative journey so much next to my first love knitting 🤭 you too! x
Hi Marlene! Such a lovely video. May I ask, how do you avoid holes in socks when picking up stiches at the gusset (with a slipstitch heel flap and gusset)? I keep getting holes and tried some different techniques, but they don’t seem te work perfectly. I was wondering if you have some tutorials you used as a reference. Thank you🌸
thank you! I usually pick up on more stitch in the corner before i pick up each heel flap stitches, you could even do two and just knit them together on the next round - I personally also knit the first row over those picked up stitches through the back loop which tightens them up quite a bit plus I try and really pull on my yarn in those corners so I usually don’t have a problem with holes :) hope this helps a bit!
Lovely update as always! ❤ I got some rows in on my tee that I frogged and restarted today! Could you still share the shop where you got the gorgeous linen from your shorts? 🙏🏼

Great video for bed time knitting with my sister ❤❤ I'd be happy to send you a set of hand made buttons that I make on my free time with pebbles I find in the pacific ocean (for your Petit Knit jacket 😊) let me know if you're interested and I'll flick over some pics! ❤❤
aww what a lovely way to watch podcasts ☺️ glad you enjoyed! I’d love to see what they look like thought I‘m relatively set on either wood or tortoiseshell buttons for this project already - so feel free to send me a picture via instagram messages as I’d love to see them :)

Cute knits. You're tempting me to cast on an Esther Jacket. This yarn shop... what's it called? Are you an owner or do you work there?
I just finished it and would highly recommend, it’s a really cute and fun jacket!
it’s called Strickfairliebt, I work there & do not own it :)
Yay
Hi Marlene! What did you say was the name of the maker who made that beautiful mug?!
