Just bought myself the flame maple tenor strung to low G, loving it. Also have the cedar acacia tenor in high G, loving it too.

I’m a sucker for a cutaway. Love the flame maple. I like how all, except the bari have a slotted headstock.
I’d love to have a super tenor in my collection as well. Such lovely big sound. :)

Love Kala! My first uke was their mahogany blue concert ukulele (KA-CEMB) and it’s such a beautiful instrument, both in terms of the aesthetics and the sound. You showcased some great ukes; I’d love to add another Kala to my collection one day...a girl can dream. :)

Could I ask your thoughts on the KALA KA-FMTGE-C as I'm looking up the model, so but the ones online are a solid headstock, not the see cut thru, so cut outs as the one I've seen, I'm learning Fingerstyle so intonation and working 7,10, 12th fret is important, but thanks buddy

Anyone do percussion on their uke ? Seems I need a high dollar wood to get a kick drum hit. That and a Super Tenor. Do you have experience with this ?

I wouldn't recommend a solid wood uke as a first uke for three reasons. They are pricier. They are more finicky about the temps and humidity they are exposed to. And a beginner probably wouldn't be able to to play well enough to appreciate the superior tone... at least for a while.
