    I've had this gun for a couple of years. Just got back from my firs pig hunt with it. Other guys were saying that I needed a good bolt gun. I proved em wrong, dropped a hog in its tracks at 200 yards. Didn't have a great scope, that is next on my list, but I love then gun for sure!! Great video!

    I have the 16” model and got very lucky one day. A guy on Texas Gun Trader sold me (10) brand new 20 round magazines for $300.

    I recently got the BAR with detachable box mag. Same gun, different stock. Fine piece of machinery. Love it.

      Not the same gun though. Several differences, the barrel is thinner, shorter and not hard chromed.

      @@patrikpatriksson The chamber is hard chromed on the DBM model.

    You may get even better results with some heavier ammo, 150 grain stuff is good for an M14 but an FNAR won't care if you go with some 160's or 170's, and may even prefer them.
    Stupidly accurate rifle, enjoy it!
    Great vid.

    I'll be using mine as a hunting rifle. White Tail out in NC are no match for that thing. I hunt for food so I take any shot I know I am capable of with what ever rifle I am using at the time. Long or short distance...

  • @TheTacticalHouse
    @TheTacticalHouse 11 лет назад

    Bought mine lightly used for $800. 10 Lbs is average for a bolt action loaded... More with an AR10 rifle. I have the fluted barrel.

    Non-Restricted, if you can find one expect to pay $1700-2000 used CDN. $160/mag IF you can find any.

    Probably go for a 1 piece 20MOA Nightforce 30mm mount and a Vortex 6-24x55 scope.

  • @johnybananas23
    @johnybananas23 9 лет назад

    Does that scope mount have an MOA adjustment on it or did that scope reach out fine or did u have to do a holdover, because I've heard the fnar rail has negative or no added moa adjustment built into it? Is that possibly bullshit?

    • @ScaleModelAlberta
      @ScaleModelAlberta 9 лет назад

      Lots of holdover. Used the Accurange reticle in the scope and a healthy dose of bullshit luck. O MOA in base and mount.

      I actually sold this rifle a week after shooting this video. A 10+ lb 5 shot .308 with $100 magazines just started to sound like a pretty bad idea. Replaced it with a 6 lb 4 shot .300 Wby. at half the cost.

    Hey partner... I've got the same wind problem as you... Did some research and there is a cheap and easy fix. Do a Google search for "DIY Camcorder Microphone Wind Shield". Great video by the way. These rifles interest me but ughh the weight destroys me. Any chance you're going to get in on the FAMAE SG-542 when they arrive?

    Just traded a brand new ar-15 target/match with heavy SS barrel and a .45 long colt lever rifle like new for one of these, (I lost about $300 I)n the deal, but I'm good with that. Actually, it's a Winchester Super X-ar .308. Made in Belgium by FN. Identical to the FN-ar .308. The Winchester is camo with heavy 20" barrel. Can't wait to shoot it. Nothing but good accuracy and reliability reports on these weapons. Shoulders really nicely and not too heavy. God Bless - NO, we won't allow the devils in DC to confiscate and regulate to the point of no return - at least not without.........

    • @Glockster42
      @Glockster42  10 лет назад

      Up here still less expensive than a Tavor or XCR. But magazines are incredibly expensive and very rare. Being limited to just five rounds was a pain and a good .308 bolt gun can have a 10 round mag, is lighter and less expensive. Still I am having lots of regrets selling it.

    Only drawback to this rifle so far whether it's a 5,10 or 20 round magazine they are all 54.00 bucks a pop. 54.00 being the cheapest I have found and that's cheaper than dirt.

    • @Glockster42
      @Glockster42  9 лет назад

      Closer to $125 Canadian when you can find them and pinned to 5 rounds.
