Yooo can you please send if you can find a cheap one cuz all I have is 50$
Once again great content 👍🏻
Thank you 🫡
One thing you forgot to mention is that the Trezor Safe 5 also has the MicroSD card slot for additional security, the Safe 3 doesn't have that.
Until further info is released about the SD slot, I won’t mention it. I’m assuming it’s similar functionality to the Model T. But I haven’t seen any official statement from Trezor.
@@cyberscrilla It's listed on the Trezor Safe 5 order page; it's right under "At a glance".
Yes, I realize that. But there’s no context. All it says is “MicroSD card slot”. That doesn’t tell me much.
Thanks for nice overview 🔒🚀
Thanks for watching! 🔥
everytime i get a HD wallet 6mths to a yr later a new version comes out of the same wallet lol tangem then they come out with seed phrase , trezor one then safe3 now safe5 smh i starting to feel like its the cell phone industry lmao
It had been almost 5 years since Trezor released a new wallet when they introduced the Safe 3. Naturally, we all assumed the Safe 5 would follow.
Tip: If a wallet manufacturer updates one model, expect them to update all their models.
To your point, the hardware wallet industry is simply another branch of the consumer electronics industry like the iPhone/Android phones.
@@cyberscrilla it was just me joking im slow with tech lol by the time i get around to learning and getting hd wallet a new model or updated models come out lol
👍
Great walk-through!
Thanks 🙏
Ok, so I may have a dumb question about the Hardwallet in general.
I have my trezor, I connect it on my computer and if I loose my device, I can recover my funds by buying another one and inserting the seed phrase (24 words).
So where actually are my coins being stored? If I can get it back from reaching out to the company, isn't it with the Trezor people all the way around?
Again I`m sorry if this seems dumb to ask, but my question is, is it really offline? Or is it stored on Trezor HD or Cloud or something like that?
Crypto is stored on the blockchain. Your “wallet” is really just a unique address derived from your unique private key.
Thus crypto wallet software/hardware is a way to access and interact with your crypto on the blockchain.
A wallet also stores your private (master) key to all your crypto addresses.
@@cyberscrilla Thanks! So what's it about Trezor asking me for my passphrase if I loose my device? Do they hold my keys or something?
@@lucasf1704 Im not sure what you’re talking about? A passphrase is user-generated and is essentially and extension of your seed phrase. If you create a passphrase, you create a separate wallet. And if you lose your passphrase, you’d lose access to your crypto forever.

I just subscribed to you but only because you seem to be an honest person, I am a newbie but I can follow what you are saying thx.
I appreciate you!
@@cyberscrilla it’s just that you seem to have good intentions 😊
I bought it but have nl clue how to set up for iPhone
As stated in this video, you cant set it up using iOS. The app for iOS is view only (once you've already setup the wallet).
Trezor Safe 3 doesn’t have a micro sd card slot but the safe 5 and model T do
Correct
Can it be used for ordinals and runes?
Trezor Suite does not support ordinals. However, you can receive them at any address within your Bitcoin wallet.
Ideally, use a Taproot account. You will not be able to see any ordinals in your Trezor wallet, however.
How are you on top of every hardware wallet release? Great review as always.
It’s my job 🫡
Thank you for watching!
You can set the multi to BTC Only, so the BTC only is just a BTC only firmware pre set.
Facts.
Ohhhhhhhh, I want, I want, I want!!!!! My birthday was yesterday... does anyone love me enough? Or at least can tolerate me??
what do you think this compares against jade wallet?
This is a more premium wallet with the gorilla glass, touchscreen, and Haptic Touch. As a bitcoin only wallet, I’d go Trezor Safe 3 or Safe 5 over Jade.
@@cyberscrilla thank you for the answer. The trezor does look like a good choice. But, I do like thé Jades 2fa confirmation that expires after 12 month. I wished the trezor would implement this also.
I always go for simplicity. While Jade has plenty of security features, Trezor is more than secure without being overloaded with features. That’s just my opinion
@@matmc8100Better of just doing multi sig
Good content my friend.
Thank you!!
whatever you guys do please do not accept the latest trezor model T update ,it allows automatic software updates this could be a hack vector for hackers , also please talk to trezor and try get them to change this up grade
@@Idc.350 the only reason open source is good and works is because you can go online and review the code in a new update before you accept It , automatic updates means if they want to they could upgrade your Trezor without your permission so they could have access to your Trezor without your permission or something else nefarious open source is only useful if it can be audited before it's implemented
Just do not use Windows and Mac.
@@bartek38912051 that doesn't in this context
@@Idc.350Great way of telling me you’re stupid without saying you’re stupid.
Is that version 2.7.0? Where can I find details on this? Didn’t see it in the release notes.
Question: how is it possible for a trezor/ledger/metamask to recognize your recovery phrase? Since “no-one knows your phrase not even the company”
Is your recovery phrase is stored somewhere in a database? Or how else could it be recognize as a legit wallet, when recoverd.
Your recovery phrase is used to generate a master private key locally on your device (Trezor, Ledger, MetaMask).
This master private key is then used as the starting point to derive all the private keys for your cryptocurrency addresses.
Here’s how it works:
1. Master Private Key Generation: When you set up your wallet with your recovery phrase, the wallet software uses cryptographic algorithms to generate a master private key. This key is derived deterministically from your recovery phrase.
2. Hierarchical Deterministic (HD) Wallets: Most wallets, like those using BIP32, BIP39, and BIP44 standards, are hierarchical deterministic wallets. This means they use the master private key to generate a tree-like structure of child private keys. Each child private key corresponds to a specific cryptocurrency address.
3. Address Derivation: The wallet software follows a specific path (derivation path) to derive child private keys from the master private key. This path ensures that each derived private key corresponds to a unique cryptocurrency address on the blockchain.
4. Accessing Funds: When you want to send or receive cryptocurrency, the wallet uses the derived private keys to sign transactions. These signed transactions are then broadcast to the blockchain, where they are verified and recorded.
Your recovery phrase is never stored online or in any database. It is used locally on your device to generate a master private key, which then determines all the private keys and addresses associated with your wallet.
@@cyberscrilla lot to read haha, thanks for ur quick respons! Gonna read it carefully
hmm looking for my first HW wallet, Ive got 300k worth of assets spread across 5 MM and rabby seed phrases.
how about Safe multisig?
Are you talking about the app?? If so: NO.
Get a true cold wallet. I’d recommend the Trezor Safe 3. Extremely secure, but still easy to use.

Im wondering whats is difference orange only btc dan normal safe 5 it is sift special btc or what ?

Universal Edition = Multi-coin firmware

Hey alex,
While withdrawing from bybit to tangem im getting "change of fee deduction method"
Please note: After selecting the withdrawal fee deduction method, the received amount will vary accordingly due to different deduction methods. Please confirm before making a selection.
Option 1👇
Fee Deduction Mode
The received amount will equal your entered withdrawal amount.
Withdrawal Amount Entered = Amount
Received
Option 2 👇
Deduct Fee from Withdrawal Amount
Withdrawal Amount Entered - Fee = Amount
Received
Which should i choose?? Option 1 or 2. Please help.
Thanks
Replied to your other comment
@@cyberscrilla thanks , and can you tell the difference between the both i cant understand them and i haven’t also found anything related to it when i searched it up
thanks for the help. 🤝.
By default, the withdrawal fee will be deducted from the indicated withdrawal amount (option 2).
However, it’s possible to modify this setting by clicking on Set Up and selecting the preferred deduction method.
If you choose the “Withdrawal Amount Entered = Amount Received” deduction method, you will need to adjust the withdrawal amount by deducting the fee amount as clicking on the All button will show the error message “The requested withdrawal amount exceeds your available balance.”
@@cyberscrilla thanks for the help buddy🤝.
what ever happened with the one key touch pro?
They are backordered right now. Still waiting to receive mine.
What you think about onekey pro?
Plz some updates
I’m assuming you’ve already seen my video about the pro? Until I receive my device, I don’t have any updates.
Ok, thank you
Does this wallet support ordinals/runes?
Nope
@@cyberscrilla sorry, I asked the same question 2 weeks ago and forgot, you gave a great summary at that time, Thx.
my original trezors are still the best and work fine
Happy to hear that.
Still no KASPA support ?
Doesn’t look like it. Just Wrapped Kaspa.
this seems lke a paid advertisement. Trezor T also has multiple password seeds. There's no extra security by using Safe 5. You want to sell the need for that new model
Incorrect. I’ve never been paid to make a video.
Both the Model T and Model One lack the secure element chip, which is crucial for security.
If you don’t want to pay extra for the Gorilla Glass screen and Haptic Touch, go with the Safe 3 (as mentioned in this video).
Whether it’s the Safe 3 or the Safe 5, it’s worth the upgrade for the secure element.
Hopefully, this helped clear up the differences for you.
Of course you think it is worth 169 EUR if you are using their affiliate link...... too expensive!
😆 I don't force anyone to buy. I have affiliate links for EVERY wallet on the market because I review them all.
My honest opinion isn't for sale. Think before you comment.
Well trash this one. Put it with the Ledger.
Why? It’s not even anything like Ledger
@@cyberscrilla Giving update control over to anyone is a security risk that needs not be taken…. It’s suspicious to say the least.
Another review without hands on, something fishy with this one, nobody has seen or tested it in hand.
This isn’t a review bud. It’s an overview. Of course no one has tested in hand, it hasn’t begun shipping yet.
Until you learn how to pronounce shards you are just another mouth for trezor.
It’s called multi-share backup.
Not multi-shard backup 🤣
And still not air gapped 😪 What a useless update!
Being air gapped does not make a wallet that much more secure if it all. It can still be hacked. Check out this video:

@@cyberscrilla I'll watch it but I can already tell you that there's none good argument against the reduction of your attack surface. Isn't it obvious?
