Ok, so I may have a dumb question about the Hardwallet in general.
I have my trezor, I connect it on my computer and if I loose my device, I can recover my funds by buying another one and inserting the seed phrase (24 words).
So where actually are my coins being stored? If I can get it back from reaching out to the company, isn't it with the Trezor people all the way around?
Again I`m sorry if this seems dumb to ask, but my question is, is it really offline? Or is it stored on Trezor HD or Cloud or something like that?
Hardware wallets don't actually store your cryptocurrency. Instead, they store the private keys that allow access to your digital assets which are decentrally stored on the blockchain. These private keys are a unique combination of letters and numbers, functioning as digital signatures or passwords that grant access to and control over your cryptocurrency holdings. In case of losing your Trezor, you can get a new one and regain access to your wallet by using your seed phrase. A seed phrase grants access to all cryptocurrency associated with the wallet that generated the phrase, even if the wallet has been deleted or lost, so long as the seed phrase is accessible. The idea of a hardware wallet is to keep your private keys stored offline for self custody and safety. Hope this helps 😊
Hi, there are no dumb questions, and this is a pretty good question, actually! Technically speaking, there are no coins, balances or addresses on the blockchain. And Trezor is a safe vault for private keys to these addresses. Using these private keys, you can sign transactions and transfer your balances to another address. Your private keys remain offline with Trezor, but your balances (aka coins) are on the blockchain and are protected by the private keys 💪

trezor Version 24.5.4 was updated to... then HUGE mistake of updating firmware was made... I went to current xx.2 firmware version from xx.0.... I had wallets in hidden wallet... in the hidden wallet I had multiple tokens with 2 separate accounts .... now only 1 of these 2 accounts is recovered with NO clear way to recover the other?? .. please help.. i see no discord or other direct helpdesk is available for kind of this mistake .

Trezor is an excellent wallet, the only thing that breaks it is that it doesn't have the Near Protocol blockchain natively, expensive, so you have to use third-party blockchains like the BSC network and other networks If Trezor placed the block, surely many users on the network would buy Trezor for security

You connect it using USB-C cable. Bluetooth so far not supported.

Is Trezor Model T safe & secured too?
Model T was their flagship model. This new Trezor safe 5 however has gorilla glass and a full touch screen. If safety is your concern the cheapest Trezor is just as good as the most expensive one. The models cost more because of storage of coins and sophistication of the device.

You can transfer all your Crypto to this and it's FAR safer than leaving it on an exchange. Put it in your safety deposit box though or at least the seed phrase that backs it up.
What can you do when you lose the wallet?
Hi, during the initialization you'll create a backup phrase. You can use this backup to restore your wallet including whole balance to another Trezor device (or a compatible 3rd party wallet in emergency situation) incase you misplace lose or destroy your Trezor!

And a follow up question, I know that if you lose your seed phrase the wallet is gone but I wanted to ask you if there was a possible way to access the wallet again even if that happened?
We don't have access to your wallet, so this is really up to you. You need to store your seed phrase securely. You might want to check our new backup standard, SLIP39, which allows you to create a Multi-share backup and distribute parts of the backup to different locations or people. So even if you lose one part, you'll still be able to recover your wallet!

Would it be nice if you could plug in a microSD card in your Trezor, connect it to a phone and other devices, enter your password, and it functions as an encrypted drive? The Trezor takes care of real-time encryption and decryption.
I like the Trezor products but the company seem to be fixated on Bitcoin and other digital currencies. I wish they also focus on other possible uses of their products.
