Do you think air gapped hardware wallet are worth the sacrifice in user-friendliness?
Let me know!

I find the kp3 super easy and strait forward.
I love the K3P too!
@cyberscrilla it definitely makes it a bit harder to get a spawn through in time with the 2 step qr 🐸🟪
Thanks for the info! 😃👍🏼👊🏼
Thanks for this detailed info . What about the NGrave Zero wallet? Do you know it?
Thanks for watching
And I do know of Ngrave. Overpriced and overrated in my opinion.
EAL7 certified level of security.
Why do you need EAL7? What does that even mean? Do you know what part of the device is rated EAL7?
Because the secure element chip in Ngrave, which stores the private key, is EAL5.
So the secure element used in a wallet like Tangem actually has a higher EAL certification (EAL6+) than the one used in Ngrave.
The EAL7 certification in NGRAVE is achieved by the secure operating system, not the hardware.
Does this mean NGRAVE is more secure?
IDK. Personally, I think it’s more of a marketing strategy than anything.
A higher EAL rating suggests a higher level of security assurance, but it's not the sole determinant of overall security.
Coldcard MK4 and Q1 are way up there.
I decided to go with a Ellipal Titan2.0 vs Keystone 3 pro because it has a native app. I guess you can say I’m somewhat new to crypto.
I think that’s a good choice then. It will be easier to manage all your coins on the native app vs using multiple wallet with Keystone.
I had a Titan for a few years now and love it. Also can hold up to 10 accounts.
How does the Keystone 3 Pro manage to be 100% open source 5:40 while having THREE secure element chips, which are notoriously closed source?
I assume it depends on the SE used.
But the code related to the MicroChipTech SE used in Keystone is available for review on GitHub:
Here's one example: github.com/KeystoneHQ/keystone3-firmware/blob/release/v1.2.6/src/driver/drv_atecc608b.c
P.S. The code could simply be related to interfacing or utilizing the chip in the K3P. The ATECC608B chip itself might have its own set of specifications or proprietary technology that isn't open source.
However examining the code that interacts with the chip can provide valuable information about how the device handles sensitive data, implements encryption, and manages communication, which are crucial factors in determining its safety and reliability.
only the eal chips are closed source..se chips from other manufacturers are open sourced
you can update the jade via bluetooth
Is Keystone a good choice?
Very good! However, I don’t recommend it for beginners. If you want an air gapped device and you’re a beginner, I’d probably go with Ellipal.
If you’re willing to move away from air gap, I’d go with Tangem
I would give a thumb. They are sincerely making products.
works flawlessly with mm
I wish the K3Pro still had the option to use the native app.
They also need more added non Eth blockchain coin support .
It is a pain to have to use multiple wallets to manage coins.
But again, every decision made was aimed at security. Unfortunately sacrificing some user friendliness.

I don’t really see how using 3rd party apps help improve security.
Isn’t possible that it can sacrifice some privacy by allowing hackers to see what you own even if they can’t steal your crypto?
Because we aren’t relying on a single centralized app to manage our crypto.
And no. Hackers can see everything you have by viewing the blockchain. Doesn’t matter which wallet you use.
well I use a safepal and its excellent, and its very secure.
Does safepal hold hbar and qnt ??
@@KeatzCase Yes, HBAR(Cronos), QNT (ETH, INJ , Cronos)
and the safepal has the best variety of crypto it can store compared to other hard wallets.
Nice 👍 I’ve got the new safepal, but it’s not air gapped so I didn’t include it in this video
@@cyberscrilla yah that is why I use the old one and the pro. dont like the blue tooth connection on the new one.
@@johnwalsh4857 Fair enough
It the issue with updating due to you having the device plugged into you computer instead of plugging it directly into power????
With ledger revealing tomfoolery I like the idea of no firmware updates, ever.
Then maybe something like Tangem is a good option for you. No firmware updates, just have to update the app
well I disagree with userfriendliness, my safepal is more userfriendly than my other ledger nano S non air gapped.
That’s good! I know for a fact many people think otherwise.
I bought Keystone 3 Pro, but considering that what matters most to me is ISO20022 coins, and Kesytone Pro does not support most of them, i.e.: XLM, HBAR, CSPR, IOTA, ALGO, LCX. For me it's more like just a stone, than Keystone - piece of brick.
It’s common sense to ensure the wallet you buy supports the tokens you have before buying
@@cyberscrilla It is gold standard to have these coins supported :)
@@cyberscrilla It's gold standard to support such important assets like ISO20022 compliant coins.
Apparently not
@@cyberscrilla It should be. Good wallets has support for the most of ISO20022 coins.
The more I dig into it and more I understand sophistication of crypto wallet "bank" robbers the more I understand why Blackrock made the move to Botcoin ETF and why most people will never truly own crupto direct. Majority will simply only think they have crypto but will not. Then huge number of bitcoin is and will be lost in dust or never ever uncooked wallets no one has access to. Bitcoin may and will still have its glory but eventually will disappear to some so far unknown future.
You should review the Foundation Passport. I've had both it and the Keystone since 2002 and the Passport is superior.
Plan to review it eventually. Curious how it’s “superior” to Keystone?
