Hey Alex! I am thoroughly enjoying my tangem experience (had alot of glitching with hot wallet experiences- b4 but really none with Tangem ( other than a wait for 3rd party verification disabling the balancing with stable coin availability between transactions. That seems to have been fixed🥳. I do have a concern about liquidity tho...can I actually execute trades in the heat of a bull run/rally? Or would it be advisable to use a dex optionally? Should I expect considerable slippage if I rely on Tangems in house system?
@cyberscrilla May I ask a question I can't seem to get a Tangem expert to answer. I should start with you given you seem to be most knowing of all things Tangem. The Shina Inu (not shina inu) has pla logo that does Not look as the official Shina inu. But, similar cat of sorts. I'm just nervous to carry over Shina inu, to my Tangem if it's not the same. At times I see crypto same entire name, different logos. Thoughts ?
You are helping people and making money doing it. I was talking with my wife tonight about this. This is the ultimate achievement in life if you can do both.
I bought a Ledger and then a set of Tangem cards. The ledger after 1 year, well the screen is VERY dim now and very hard to read, there was also a problem with the connection cable. I much prefer the way the tangem card works with no moving parts and no cables to connect or screen to go wrong
Glad to see your still around I took a 6 yr break from checking out crypto vids cause of all the bs but your vids are always honest from what I’ve seen so I just want to say thanks
I also have Tangem. I love it too, but I also have a Ledger and a Trezor. I highly recommend you use multiple wallets if you feel it’s worth it. Depends how much crypto you hold.
Only issue I have with Tangem is you have to create your seed Phrase using your phone. Unless you have a completely new phone I would worry risk of malware getting the seed words while setting it up. Trezor it is created on the device
It’s not likely. There’s no known malware that can infiltrate the app. It’s also only displayed long enough for you to record it, it’s not stored anywhere on the device or in the app. But I get it.
Thanks for that update. I've been using Tangem for a while as well, and I continue to feel good about it. Nice to know my decision is confirmed/supported by your experience.
A lot of people hate on me for liking and recommending Tangem so much, but it’s just a no brainer imo. Simple and secure. What more could you want, right? Thanks for watching!
So if are generating a seed phrase on the app how is that secure since you are connected to the internet? Can you do it in airplane mode with no wifi connection?
This is all new to me and my question may be very basic.. What if Tagem is bankrupt in few years and there are no more functionning app available. Can we still nfc scan the card with another app or access by any other way the content of the card ? Thanks and great work on your vids

I havent gone through the related playlist yet so maybe my question will be answered in one of those. Im 95% sold on Tangem but im the guy who if something can go wrong it will. Ive heard some horror stories about trying to migrate from phone to phone, because smartphones dont last forever 🙄 and that their support isn't the most responsive to such problems. (Granted that no device is perfect and theres always the backup of knowing your seed)
I have my Tangem wallet on 3 different phones. I’ve never had an issue or heard of anyone having issues moving or adding to another phone. If they really are having issues, it’s likely user error (like they forgot their access code). Or it’s just straight FUD
I love Tangem and also really enjoy your channel. I will argue your take on seed phrases, though. The risk of losing all three cards is certainly no more than the risk of losing a seed phrase and wallet. Of the three cards I keep one and the other two are secure in other physical locations. One in my safe deposit box at the bank and one in a private safe in another town. All three disappearing at once is just inconceivable. As for transferring from another wallet, unless you are constantly shifting wallets, not recommended, it takes about 10 minutes and $2 to just send the funds to your Tangem. I know because I did it yesterday. In short, I see no advantage to a seed phrase. If you are going to lose three cards, using a seed phrase won't help you. You're doomed. 😁
It’s just a preference. Couple things though. I can create as many copies of my seed phrase as I want to, whereas with Tangem your limited to 3 copies. Sure, it might not be realistic that you’ll lose all three cards, but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen. Especially because not everyone is going to store each card in three separate locations across town. Furthermore, if you don’t know your seed phrase, you’re limited to only using Tangem. So if a new wallet comes out that your really want to use to secure your crypto, you’d have to transfer it all to the new wallet versus simply importing your seed phrase. Again, to each their own. It sounds like you’ve got a good system. But I like to know my seed. 🤝
Great info by you! The only big thing I miss with TANGEM is the implementation of known chains ad coins that are very common(ASI fet, ...( . The second problem is the lack of sell buy swap history which could be shown for each and every coin. It is almost impossible to read trough what and for which price you have done it(tax?) .
You are referring to something else. The hack I referenced in this video, is here: techcrunch.com/2018/03/21/a-15-year-old-hacked-the-secure-ledger-crypto-wallet/ To be fair, it wasn’t so much of a hack as a potential concern, but Ledger has since solved this concern through a simple update.
Yeah, the ledger FUD is pretty over the top. I get the it but tbh it’s still above and beyond keeping your BTC on the exchanges. Feel like the diehards really need to keep perspective.
I don’t think you have to choose one wallet over another. I own a few different wallets. My Tangem is my on the go wallet, Ledger Flex is my home and mobile wallet. Holds a lot more crypto and my Trezor is my home only and that’s where I hold my longer term crypto and also hold a larger amount.
How long before automated trading meets cold wallets? Bye bye exchange fees? You still have to pay network ( blockchains ) fees, but if you're not a ERC-20 maxi, you're good.
And what would the company's revenue be? Security is expensive, and license/regulations just for US and Canada (NA) would be several million for day 1 and almost 1M per year. Multi-chain and bridge are also expensive if you want to be able to trade more than a couple of token.
Do you know Tangems audit process? Do they go through an audit after adding features and making sure all new features are secure?.. I got my wallet, I just haven't set it up yet...
The firmware has been audited twice, and it hasn’t changed because the firmware is non updatable. As for the app, it’s 100% open source so anyone can audit it. The team also audits it now, anytime there’s updates to the app. Also, they launched a bug bounty program that encourages white hat hackers and security experts to find vulnerabilities and report them.

You need to scan the card. Look at where it says networks are unreachable, you should be able to tap there, then scan your card and everything will appear
I was searching for a cold wallet and was undecided between the SafePal S1 Pro or the Tangem cards. I decided to go with the SafePal because you can create a passphrase, upgrade the firmware and you have more visibility when signing a transaction. Other than that I loved the Tangem and it was also compatible with my cryptos.
if you worried about the screen i think you should not in crypto because in the beginning in order to fund your wallet your fund need to put first in centralized xchange and send your coins into you wallet but if you send you must first trust on the screen of you gadets that the address of you hardware wallet that you copied will not change
Bro, compliments, pls one question for you .tangem comes with three (3) cards. Should I activate the 3 at the same time? Or just only one and keep the rest for future purposes. Thanks
Surprised that this didn't come with a tamper proof packaging in the mail? It was wrapped in plastic wrap, but no tamper proof seal. Should I be worried?
No worries. Tamper proof packaging is overrated. What’s more important is that the Tangem App verifies the firmware on your cards is authentic. It does this during setup. If it’s not authentic, you’d get a warning message or you simply wouldn’t be able to set it up. If it is authentic, nothing happens. There’s never been a fake Tangem wallet to my knowledge.
Im sold on tangem. Appreciate the discount code! Question, i have tangem cards but i want another cold wallet perhaps with a screen to complement my tangems.. which would you suggest ?
I was considering that product and then saw they have an option for pre ordering fully black cards with no logo on them... needless to say the considertion ended and I order immediatly...
Amazing video Alex!! So impressed with the clarity you bring even for the non-techno savvy! Just making sure Tangem supports XRP? So we don't really need to remember our seed phrase each time we need to do a trade or transaction? Just Access code? I know its best to buy from manufactuer, so your link directs straight to Tangem? Lastly, is there a way to see a history of transactions/trades/buys/sells ect? Appreciate your help! Thanks so much!! :)
Thanks! Yes, Tangem supports XRP. Correct, your seed phrase is only used to recover your wallet if you lose access to it. To transact using Tangem, you’ll need to scan any one of your cards and enter your access code. And yes, my link is straight to Tangem’s website. If you don’t want to click on the link, that’s fine. You can always manually enter my discount code “CYBERSCRILLA” at checkout to get the 10% off. There is a transaction history for most tokens on Tangem. However, everything is viewable on the blockchain as well.
@@cyberscrilla So if we choose to NOT use a seed phrase and our phone is lost then there is no recovering crypto? Wouldnt the "Access code/password" assist in recover after one gets a new phone?
@@52msdiane You're correct. Losing your phone does not mean you'd lose your crypto. You just use your access code to regain access on a new phone. I'm talking about losing your Tangem cards.
@@cyberscrilla Ok so if phone is lost, no seed phrase, but we still have our cards we can get a new phone and recover crypto? I'm understanding correctly? Youre the best, thank you for your patience! PS I purchased the cards from your link! Blessings!
So do you have to withdraw from an exchange to the wallet and then if your want to sell crypto on your tangem, do you have to send it back to the exchange?
Depends on what you’re trying to sell. Certain coins you can sell directly from Tangem. Others you might have to send back to an exchange to sell. This is completely normal. The most important thing is that you keep your crypto in a cold storage device like Tangem will it appreciates in value so it’s safe. Then once you’re ready to sell, you sell and take profit.
Why would you carry it with you? The point of cold wallet is be out of sight and mind, aka COLD STORAGE. So if you're mugged they have your phone and passcode plus the cold wallet and gonzo is your crypto.
This is like saying why would you take your bank card with you if you could be mugged for your card and your pin, or someone held you at gunpoint to access your online banking
I can't seem to find an answer to this question and I've been looking around most of the cold storage devices I've seen have a maximum amount that can be put on them as in like 5000 tokens or 6,000 tokens what cold storage devices out there have a capacity of 10 to 20,000 +
It’s not a limit to how many coins a wallet holds, rather it’s the number of networks and coins supported. Meaning, you can store an unlimited amount of crypto on any wallet, as long as it supports the coins you plan to hold.
It depends on the coin/token. Not all coins are available to buy/sell/swap using Tangem app. Make sure your app is up to date too. But if you can’t sell directly in the app, you’ll need to send back to an exchange to sell (this is usually what I do) only takes a couple minutes
I like you has a ledger nano x but i thought about a lot and i bought today tangem wallet tks to some of your videos thinking about divide my cryptos in two accounts(besides others accounts) to be more safe in this crypto world...and i hope i get used to using on mobile instead of a pc.
Hi, thanks for the vid! Would you say that the Tangem and associated process of managing crypto via your phone is just as secure as the Ledger Flex of the Trezor Safe 5 with managing on a PC or Mac? What if the phone is compromised in any way, which is not unthinkable? Thanks in advance.
Phones and computers can both be secure. The point of a cold wallet is to protect your keys even if your device is hacked. Since the keys are not stored on your computer/phone, and on the cold wallet itself, both are good options.
@@cyberscrilla So then there would be no benefit in the others I mentioned or any other cold wallet besides personal preference / user experience, correct?
@@cyberscrilla Thank you. So are there any benefits of the other cold wallets I mentioned over the Tangem other than personal preference and user experience? Just trying to understand. Thanks!

The three cards will all be the same wallet. So if you give one each to your family, it will all be the same wallet. If you want separate wallets for each person, you need a minimum of 2 cards to setup 1 wallet.
@cyberscrilla ok. I'll have to order another set. I missed out on the free shipping and now will haveto pay double shipping so that's unfortunate. Thanks for the response though. I appreciate your videos
Total newbie to cold wallets but I’m wondering what happens if Tangem app were to disappear? How would I access my wallet if I couldn’t access the app?
No. Tangem is for crypto only. But you can use the third party partners (Moonpay and Mercuryo) to buy and sell crypto directly in the Tangem app via your bank account using the buy and sell buttons
@@cyberscrilla I actually have a Ledger Nano S plus but don't like how it has to use a web page for Kaspa so I bought a SafePal to use with Kaspa. And I used the code you gave me in your video, so thanks. It still works, ordered it today.
Curious if you know. I use Coin Tracking web site to keep track of all my crypto assets and transactions. Can Tangem API to coin tracking software or export CSV files of transactions history?
Took your advice and ordered tangem.. I’m clueless on moving out of my Coinbase though. I want to put it in a cold wallet and let it sit for down the road
Awesome! And transferring is much easier than you think after you do it once or twice. This video will help you out too: ruclips.net/video/cXiT_2uOoJg/видео.htmlsi=HbhMVctWQ6uG4-8t
Your video is very very helpful and still valid. I am all setup now and using the app. Question: I have an iPhone, and I was expecting to have to use the card with my phone to access the app and my crypto. But I can use the app and access crypto without my card. Figured this out when I drove to the store without the card. What am I doing wrong?
Couple things: Just because you can open the app without the card doesn’t mean you have access to the crypto-as you still can’t do anything (confirm transactions) without the physical card and access code. If you want to have to scan the card every time to access the app, go to settings, and disable keep wallet in app.
For sure! This video shows you how to both buy and sell crypto using Tangem, including cashing out to your bank account: ruclips.net/video/lBbZrhqktb0/видео.htmlsi=xBx0CV86NzoIe0GX
Neither. Crypto only exists on the blockchain. It doesn’t exist in apps, on wallets, or even exchanges. Wallets hold the keys used to access your crypto account on the blockchain. So in the case of Tangem, it secures your keys offline on the secure chip inside the card I HIGHLY recommend watching my masterclass to better understand how crypto works. It should answer most of your questions: ruclips.net/video/fbut5dLecrs/видео.htmlsi=fsDhdu24eTCXQ4Wf
@@cyberscrilla Id love the idea if it worked on all devices such a bummer. By the way, i havent seen but did you do a video on how to withdraw crypto to USD in the most secure and also cost effective way? it seems like every move you make is hit with fees.
Because the value of crypto fluctuates by the second. Crypto lives on the blockchain, not in wallets or exchanges, therefore it will always fluctuate according to its current market value.

Bro, compliments, pls one question for you .tangem comes with three (3) cards. Should I activate the 3 at the same time? Or just only one and keep the rest for future purposes. Thanks
You should activate all 3 card, and 2 cards will be your BACKUP if anything happen or your card if they broken or destroyed by fire.
Wow! Finally a clear explanation. Subscribed!
Thank you for watching! Glad to hear it helped.

@@cyberscrilla it did, a lot. Appreciated!
Great vid yet again mate,, thanks for being so precise, and when will the Tangem implant come out ? 😄
Thanks for watching 😂
Great vid. I'm an old man, and even I understood your explanation. Thx
Is there a walet you can use on chromebook?
Thanks for the insights brother.
Thanks for watching!
Im sold on tangem. Appreciate the discount code! Question, i have tangem cards but i want another cold wallet perhaps with a screen to complement my tangems.. which would you suggest ?
Probably ledger flex, you can get 70 dollar bitcoin with it at the moment
Great Review Man Thank You! 👊🏾
@@primozini335 Thanks for watching 🤝
I was considering that product and then saw they have an option for pre ordering fully black cards with no logo on them... needless to say the considertion ended and I order immediatly...
😆👍
@@cyberscrilla Thanks so much! I'm using your link Alex keep up the great work!! :)
Blessings!
awesome comparison ! thank you
As a noob to the space, I thank you greatly for videos like this. 👍

Is it recommended to spread your crypto across a few different wallets?
"Don’t put all your eggs in one basket."
Great update, thank you!!!
Thanks for watching!!
Cool video mate! 🎉
Am also ordering my card using your link thank you for the videos
I can't seem to find an answer to this question and I've been looking around most of the cold storage devices I've seen have a maximum amount that can be put on them as in like 5000 tokens or 6,000 tokens what cold storage devices out there have a capacity of 10 to 20,000 +
It’s not a limit to how many coins a wallet holds, rather it’s the number of networks and coins supported.
Meaning, you can store an unlimited amount of crypto on any wallet, as long as it supports the coins you plan to hold.
Does robinhood and uphold charge to transfer crypto out to Tangem?
You pay blockchain fees anytime you send crypto.
Thanks for sharing. How come I can’t sell my coins on Tangem Wallet? I can buy, send and swap but not sell
It depends on the coin/token. Not all coins are available to buy/sell/swap using Tangem app. Make sure your app is up to date too.
But if you can’t sell directly in the app, you’ll need to send back to an exchange to sell (this is usually what I do) only takes a couple minutes
@ Thank you very much for replying
Love to see a review of the new tangem wallet with the rings set
I already dropped that review a month ago. You can watch it here: Tangem Ring Review: Why Does This Exist?
ruclips.net/video/06IaFC0PgEY/видео.html
Does this support NFTs? What about bitcoin ordinals?
Thanks!
Hi, do i need the card to simply open the app and view my crypto? or is the card only for verifying transactions etc.?
@@zielid you can choose. If you don’t want to have to use the card to open the app, you can disable it in settings and just use biometrics instead.
But you’ll always need the card to approve transactions.
thank you very much for your prompt response, i just ordered my cards with your discount code. Love your channel
Which chains are supported for usdc storage on tangem? Don't wanna use ERC-20 as ether is too expensive gas
It supports about 20 different chains for USDC 👍
@@cyberscrilla Thx for your reply
Tangem is the 3rd type of crypto wallet I've bought and I like it much more than others.
Y is that?
one more thing not yet mention is the transaction fee is high. Example : Withdraw USDT 100 from tangem to others wallet address, need $7 fee.
That has nothing to do with Tangem. Those are called a blockchain fees. That’s just part of using the Blockchain network and owning crypto.
How do you transfer your crypto to the tangem wallet from Robinhood?
Just subbed and purchased from you link. 🤟
Awesome thank you!
- Scrilla
Why carry if you aren't moving any crypto? Or idk why. I have 0 cryto im curious wanting to start. Why carry with you?
You don’t have to carry it with you.
I do though, because one my Tangem wallets is used for trading, so I like to have it with me.
I bought a 3 pack for my family. Can 3 different people use them or are the cards only linked as back ups? Im hoping i didn't make a mistake. Thanks for the help
@JaysDiecastCreations definitely, thanks for watching!
Total newbie to cold wallets but I’m wondering what happens if Tangem app were to disappear? How would I access my wallet if I couldn’t access the app?
still the best so far. a btc only version would be cool
Just bought my Tangem set !
Awesome!!
Question about linking a bank: I can send and receive fiat from the Tangem app to a bank acct?
No. Tangem is for crypto only. But you can use the third party partners (Moonpay and Mercuryo) to buy and sell crypto directly in the Tangem app via your bank account using the buy and sell buttons
Great video! Well done!
Thanks Rob!
So do you suggest I get this instead of the new Tangem ring ?
Well the Tangem ring comes with two of these cards. The ring and cards work exactly the same so it doesn’t really matter. Just get what you want 👍
Tangem & ngrave , the best in the game 🎯💯
Thank you for the video and detailed explanation.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
How does it work with a desk top computer? I do not use my phone for any crypto transactions, period.
Then this wallet isn’t for you. It’s a mobile only wallet. I’d suggest the Ledger Flex
This video will help you out too:
ruclips.net/video/cXiT_2uOoJg/видео.htmlsi=HbhMVctWQ6uG4-8t
Your video is very very helpful and still valid. I am all setup now and using the app. Question: I have an iPhone, and I was expecting to have to use the card with my phone to access the app and my crypto. But I can use the app and access crypto without my card. Figured this out when I drove to the store without the card. What am I doing wrong?
Couple things:
Just because you can open the app without the card doesn’t mean you have access to the crypto-as you still can’t do anything (confirm transactions) without the physical card and access code.
If you want to have to scan the card every time to access the app, go to settings, and disable keep wallet in app.
@@cyberscrilla Perfect! Thanks for the tips!
So can I pay for items in stores that have tap to pay? Can I pay for things online ?
No. That’s not what this wallet is for. This is for securing your crypto. Not buying things at a store.
@ ok thanks man do you have a video on how I get access to my crypto or withdrawal from the storage to lets say purchase a vehicle or home?
For sure! This video shows you how to both buy and sell crypto using Tangem, including cashing out to your bank account: ruclips.net/video/lBbZrhqktb0/видео.htmlsi=xBx0CV86NzoIe0GX
So - how do you import "hidden" wallet ? - QR code ? or do you need to type seed/passphr. - which they say never should be done on ph.!?
Exactly
This might be a dumb question but is the crypto stored on the card itself or is it on the app that is only accessed by the card?
Neither. Crypto only exists on the blockchain. It doesn’t exist in apps, on wallets, or even exchanges.
Wallets hold the keys used to access your crypto account on the blockchain. So in the case of Tangem, it secures your keys offline on the secure chip inside the card
I HIGHLY recommend watching my masterclass to better understand how crypto works. It should answer most of your questions: ruclips.net/video/fbut5dLecrs/видео.htmlsi=fsDhdu24eTCXQ4Wf
Thanks for the video, however I have a question: why you think that access code is more secure than the bio verification?
Because someone theoretically could scan your face. While an access code is only known by its creator.
can u use ur iphone AND ipad both
No. iPads don’t have NFC. The device needs full NFC capability to work with the cards
@@cyberscrilla Id love the idea if it worked on all devices such a bummer. By the way, i havent seen but did you do a video on how to withdraw crypto to USD in the most secure and also cost effective way? it seems like every move you make is hit with fees.
Thank you very nice and clean review
Thanks for watching and dropping a comment!
Can you use the same seed phrase in hot wallet and cold wallet?
@@thomaskoppel2394 you can, but you wouldn’t want to as that defeats the purpose of using a cold wallet because that seed phrase is already hot
Why doesn’t the balance fluctuate on tangem when i have crypto stored in there while the market goes up and down?
Because the value of crypto fluctuates by the second. Crypto lives on the blockchain, not in wallets or exchanges, therefore it will always fluctuate according to its current market value.
What do you think about ledger!?
I like Ledger and I use their products as well. Tangem is my go-to wallet though.
This is really a game changer, I have trezor but later switched to tangem
Y did you switch?
@@LazyTeslait's way more easier and straightforward... (Not saying trezor isn't) but it is much more discreet as well to bring tangem card in public than a trezor device with you
Newb here! Im researching what crypto wallets do and how they work. With that said it doesnt make sense that you carry it around? If you lose it or damage it isnt that a complete loss of how much is on it? thx Plus Im wondering what happens if an EMP goes off?
Buy 3 cards, 2 for BACKUP....and wrap them in tin coil for EMP protection
how are the fees when you cash out or swap
Swap fees are decent. Sell fees are high. I generally sell on an exchange.
