Back when I was a young buck of 17, I was an exceptionally strong guy who had actually wrestled a bear and threw him down. I was challenged to a wrestling match -- "barnyard style" -- by the horse-farmer (as in farmed with giant Belgian draft horses) I was working for at the Pa. Farm Show. He was in his late 50s and a very strong man himself. We went at it and drew a rather large crowd of other farm people and the match went on for awhile. At one point, I had him and the knew it. I don't remember what it was, but he pulled a 'trick' out of his bag of Old Man Tricks and I was instantly down and on my back so fast it made my head spin. As I was looking up at him, he pointed his finger as he often did while explaining "things" and he said "Now, let that be a lesson to you... Old age and treachery will overcome youth and skill." That was old Edgar Messerschmidt. He's the only guy I ever knew that made it into National Geographic twice! Oh, and he was a blacksmith, too, which accounted for some of his great strength.

No, I kinda' think that sentence would make it through an English teacher. -- with the exception of the missing "I've" between 'since' and 'been.' He did miss "You've" before deserve in the next sentence, however the sentence works because it conveys an accurate thought to the reader.@traybern

Here's another myth busted for any of you non-Americans out there. We don't all walk around shooting each other all the time either. I served in the USMC and other than that in over six decades of living in the U.S. since I was born I've not only never been in a gunfight, I've never even seen a gunfight.

This is the voice of Chuck Swindoll, one of the best pastors I know (Stonebriar community church in Frisco, TX). I do not think he did that, but it is a funny story.

That sounded like pastor Chuck Swindoll. He has a great radio program, and a great sense of humor. One time at a Christian men's event that was held in a stadium - back in the 80's - he was introduced and drove up onto the stage on his Harley, to the tune "Born To Be Wild".

Brutal! Love it. Was in a shopping centre car park. A big old Mercedes was waiting to reverse parralel park when a young lad in an exspensive modified sports car nipped into the spot. The elderly driver of the Merc got out to remonstrate with the young lad and the young lad was rude and abusive and said 'tough luck Grand dad, you gotta be young and quick to do that!'. The old boy didnt say a word, got back in his car, hit reverse and proceded to take out the entire side of the young kids car. He stopped got out and said 'yes and you have to old and f*cking rich to do that!'. 🤣🤣

Old people do not scare me. They can’t mess with me because I do not tolerate negative behaviors from no one. Old people are weak and they can’t mess with young people. I will be young looking in my senior citizen years because of living a healthy lifestyle for me and my future family.

Just for the record, In Canada, drive-thrus don't hand you a receipt, they track your order from one window to the kitchen to the 2nd window electronically. This wouldn't work here.
