  • Hi everyone! I'm out with yet another granny square tutorial! This time I'm teaching you how to create a crochet retro daisy granny squares! I wanted to create this granny square for a while already and I'm super happy it's finally here! I have made this tutorial as beginner friendly as possible so everyone is able to follow along, however, if you are an absolute beginner, I would suggest starting with something a bit simpler like my regular daisy granny square 🌼

    In this video you will learn:
    - how to make a magic ring
    - chains
    - double crochet
    - single crochet
    - half-double crochet
    - treble crochet
    - slip stitch
    If you enjoy creating granny squares, it is really fun to make a lot of them to create a blanket or a cardigan, or anything else you wish. You can also use different yarn and hook size to create smaller or bigger size, or you can also mix and match colors to create different patterns - it's up to your imagination! 😍
    Materials I am using in this daisy granny square crochet tutorial:
    - 3.5 mm crochet hook
    - 4 ply cotton yarn (Sostrene Grene)
    - scissors
    (makes 12 x 12 cm square)

    Hello absolutely love doing this your teaching is fantastic.. however I wish you talked the very last round of the square till the end as I got a little lost .. . ❤❤ Australia 🦘

      Thank you so much! 🥰
      Ohh sorry about that - the last round is very repetitive, you basically have to do DC on top of every stitch, and in corners do 2DC, ch3, 2DC (all together in the same space). Hope this helps! 🤗

    how would I adjust this to have 5 petals instead of 8?

    • @KristinesDay
      @KristinesDay  21 час назад

      You would have to start with 10 stitches in the first round. However, this could mess up how the final square would look like. You would have to do some calculations and tests - I haven't done it myself yet :)

    When it comes to the second to last round, I always end up several stitches too short, but I can't work out why?

      I have been crocheting for over 50 years .and my count was also short on row 9

      @@tammiehill7967 I am not really sure where this is going wrong? It doesn’t seem like there is an issue in the tutorial at the end of row 9

    • @KristinesDay
      @KristinesDay  День назад

      Hmmm, It should have 17 stitches on each side at the end of row 9, so 68 in total. Could you double check that? :)
