I was at this show! First time I saw him and it was as great show. I was warned he was terrible live by some guys at school but as you hear on this recording that was just not true! Shame the full show never came out. Sad to see that three of the band are no longer with us. At least they are immortal due to recordings like this!
Wow, that's amazing you were there, it was recorded for BBC 2 broadcasting, the full show has never surfaced. I do have a full 2 hour show from Glasgow, just 4 days after this one coming out on the channel soon. All the pictures included in this video, the Wembley show, are from the actual show at Wembley in 1983!
@@MLBFCollection I used to buy cassettes from a guy at a record fair but he only ever got this radio show. I think it was the first show I saw at Wembley Arena! I saw Queen at Milton Keynes the year before and REO Speedwagon at Hammersmith (with John Entwhistle and Brian May!) and Joan Jett at Hammersmith. Then 83 on we were up at least once a month - mainly at the Odeon. Great days! Looking forward to the Glasgow show - will be nice to be reminded what the full set was.
@@MLBFCollection Yeah I subscribe to his channel! I do have the DVD, and old VHS of the Tube TV broadcast, but I still downloaded his version! I wish they hadn't played around with the picture at the start on the DVD as on the TV you could see me standing up (from the back)!! I did find this clip but it starts right on it and the quality isn't that good.
I seen him at Donnington in August of this year and then on September the 30th at the Edinburgh Playhouse.At Donnington they only recored Dio for vinyl and ITN recored Whiesnake for video as far as i no.
Shame, no video is known to exist of the tour, Meat only started archiving in 1987. A shame really, a brilliant tour, didn't Meat get bottled at Donnington? And Edinburgh was the last show of the tour aha...
@@MLBFCollection No it was Dee Snider of twisted sister that got bottled and yes Edinburgh was his last gig for the uk.It was the first year that a live version of bat came out on the b side of midnight at the lost and found i still have the 7 inch and 12 inch vinyl of these.Theres some meatloaf uploads on my youtube page.
@@gingerthebigcat I'm sure i bought a double 7" inch single at a record fair with a heavily edited Bat on the B side. The other single may have been Razor's edge. Possibly a rarity or a promo. Sadly I don't have any vinyl now.

Why did he sound so awful a month earlier at Donington?
I don't want to speculate but Meat's drug and alcohol use was on the up coming into this tour so maybe that's why honestly
