- The Sting is a live album and DVD by the band W.A.S.P. Originally released as a DVD/CD set, it is also available as a CD on its own.
The concert was originally recorded and shown as a live webcast, which happened during the bands Helldorado World Tour. The DVD of the show (and the webcast) is the first live footage of the band to feature Blackies signature microphone stand, dubbed 'Elvis' by band and fans alike.

WASP fan for life. Their debut album is my fav debut from any band in the 1980’s. Great performance as the memories come rushing back. Young without a care in the world. Damn I miss the 80’s!

No shit, I live Holmes's playin on this but Blackie isn't a lead player he has no one to really play off of, Holmes and Piper had good chemistry as players and fed off the other one very well, hes basically playing a 2 guy solo alone, but he kills it tho
You're talking about the 84 concert at the Lyceum theatre on London. That was a epic concert. Pure raw energy.

@kristoferbatdorf2873 Blackie should have just stuck to bass and vocals. Like you said hes not a lead player but Chris and Randy were. But I did love Johnny Rod in WASP! he played bass 10 times better than Blackie did.

I was about 16 years old when i was at this very same concert in LA at the Key Club. I can tell you for sure this concert has a presidential suite in my head licing rent free til this day as if it was yesterday... what a concert this was.

Chris Holmes was a classic. He wasen't a great player but you could hear the heart in his playing.
I agree, he rode the wave and got lost all along the way, as I def did in life, but dude has the heart of a lion, and you can't buy that in a studio or a music shoppe.

Anthony Tucci before and after the idol, he was on the first 4 albums W.A.S.P, The Last Command, Inside The Electric Circus, and Headless Children also a Live album Live In The Raw, after that he quit the band, Bob Kulick, brother of Bruce from Kiss handled the guitars on Idol, then Chris rejoined the band from 96 to 01' he then left the band again and has never returned, I for one miss him greatly!

Blackies voice is getting better with age.
They sounded great in the 80s and just as good in 2000. Blackie's got stage stamina and a voice, can't say that about Motley Crue.
