As a one man working car ac technician i love the detailed explanation and step by step working meaning work from the outside before going inside Good job
looking at replacing most AC components of my 2011 ford taurus on the same platform as my compressor finally failed, luckily from what my local shop could tell my lines are clean to expansion valve and evap so no need to dig the dash up for the evap which seems to be the main pain in the neck in terms of AC work! so hopefully quick swap of compressor, condenser, receiver/drier, and TXV/expansion valve (out of good practice) + flush and refill will do the trick. one of my blend door actuators is also clicking but again not willing to tear apart the dash to figure it out. otherwise running smooth 200k miles 🤙reading up + watching as much as i can to prepare to replace the water/coolant pump soon but still a bit intimidated as a drvieway mechanic lol
@@timemoautos2059 hmmm well I did not check if Evap was leaking, am amateur self-Mechanic did not think of that. From my understanding you would test for leak with UV dye in refrig/refrig oil but would need good compressor for that test to work? Or could somehow pump into high pressure port and watch for gradual decrease in pressure as symptom of leak? My parts (including compressor) finished coming in the mail the other day was preparing to put them on this week. How shall I see if the evaporator is leaking? Appreciate your response my friend. From Arizona USA is hot and dry, most of the year is great for cars but summer gets 40-50C for couple months can really cook some cheaper plastics/rubber
@@mazerrackham5959 It can be hard to spot evaporator leakage with a UV lights, and aside from UV dye or Electronic leak detector, there is a special tool that will help you pressure test only the evaporator to ascertain if it's leaking. I really appreciate your comment. One love.
Good job. I would have visited as a colleague if you were in Port Harcourt. Let me add that I did not see the high pressure gauge connected. Also, the refrigerant was not measured and the oil spec and total volume should be rechecked. Some more safety practices would have been in order. Altogether, good job and well done to your team

It's good that the system was not black death and the evaporator is not leaking. Weldone.

This video didn't give any information of how to do the job, AC condenser replacement ford edge 2010'
Ok good job but for what reason would you dismantle a whole dashboard because of Ac compressor that is blocked ????🤦🏻♂️
When the system is black death or you have a leaking evaporator, you will have to do that. Thank you for your comment.
Truth be told they are on point
A black system require total replacement and digging out the dash board is required
Where are you guys based

The video helps no one, you didn't show how to do it
Hopefully we will record a detail video someday. Sorry Sir.
