I've been seeing a few restaurants like this that have robot waitresses. It's honestly not an alternative to a waiter or waitresses. They especially don't work well with people who speak multiple languages or with slang or a quip in their speech that they can't help.

When my father passed away employees from his bank and grocery store came to the wake. I was so touched by that. It really meant so much to hear such nice things about my dad from strangers to me. Society is taking away all the good. People are not as social anymore and it's really sad to watch this happening. Hardly anyone sends letters, cards and postcards anymore. Those were the fun things in the mail. There's ATM machines, drive throughs for many different businesses, pay at the pump and self checkout lines. Everything is so different from even 10 years ago.

Ask yourself this question, why should we commit to allowing our taxpayers dollars to be invested in senseless electric toys like this that have to complicate everything? Just look at the electric cars. We continue to live in a world now where everyone relies on the allure of "convenience" instead of doing things with manual efforts.

Waitressed for a few years. I like it. I can seat 5 tables, take orders, and have Rosy deliver drinks while i make salads and appetizers. If you could program to deliver drink refills with table kiosk request and be able to send special requests like sauces or extra napkins, that would be worth weight in gold. They have these in japan and theyre great! A lot of restaurants there have tablets where you can order food from which makes it easy and if you need help theres a call light button. This would save money for the business and the customers by making food a bit cheaper and not having to tip. Japan doesnt have a tip culture unlike the US.

When humanoid robots come down in price, we'll be seeing them everywhere. They get more advanced every year. Boston Dynamics' robot is humanoid but its joints rotate and voila, it's facing the opposite direction. Real freaky looking. And no wires and hydraulics anymore. That was the last generation. People had better wake up because robots will be taking over our jobs as soon as they're perfected, which won't be long.
