STOP BUYING STUFF YOU DONT NEED. This is all a marketing ploy. If you didn't need the $500 item before, you still dont need it when its $149.99. You're meant to believe that you're getting a bargain when you're only making yourself poorer.
The stuff isn't overpriced. These items are not in prime condition. That means when shipped to stores if there's something wrong with it that they know they cannot sell as brand new the used to send it back to the manufactory or throw it. Then people that worked these stores were like what if I open a business and get these items dirt cheap and take the issue off the companies hands. This is where the retail companies made deals with people like this guy. Either the retail store takes the loss on the item or the manufactory depending on how they have the contracts written. They still get something from it. However, these items won't have warranty on them. They sell them as is and supposed to sell them as refurbished or 3rd party meaning these are either damaged item that got fixed or were returns because they had some kind of issues. I have a computer monitor that is samnsung 4k at the time a brand new item would be 800 each. I got 2 of them for $400. A guy worked at a bestbuy had returns and he bought it dirt cheap off of them as refurb. He told it to tal to me $400. The only issue is that one of them had a dead pixel and the both were kinda dirty that has finger prints. Both works great. However, it was by as it is sale. So, you can buy stuff that works for 1 or two days and dies on you and you cannot get your money back. It's risky and you're pretty much buying junk at a high price.
@@shadowqueen2134 I agree with you on that but should we really be buying all those things? Were they even needed or were they just an impulse purchase?
Some people are just buying on impulse, sure. But there's also people like me who are just strapped for cash and places like this are a great alternative to having to always resort to thrift, Fbook Marketplace, or Craigslist since you can't afford to buy brand new. I would love to have a store like this in my area.
a bunch started opening here in lumberton nc, theyre mostly cheap chinese items, and since there small stores they remove from the bins stuff they know isnt worth 1 dollar or 50 cents
I’ve had bad luck in “bin store model businesses” in the past; but by the look of this particular establishment, it seems like you can score a good deal. They’re not all selling bad merchandise.
Where I live the resellers were always the first ones in the door, always knew where the most valuable items were located, hoarded them all and would sit in the corner checking prices.
I’ve seen it happen. We have multiple bin stores where I live and the prices started at $10 on the restock day, now it’s 15 and I feel like the quality is going down because now stores are plucking the quality stuff out of bins and selling them at a higher price.
However…The insanity is going to a place like this or buying an “open box” item at Best Buy then expecting all the parts to be there….or it to actually work. 😂. “I bought a $2,000 tv for $300.. but why doesn’t it have a remote or a manual?”
Wow, Haven't been to the Palisade Mall in years. Now have reason to visit & look for savings. Reminds me of a Outlet store in MA that was open only 3 days. Had crazy prices & timed savings on certain categories. Never knew what savings you'll find.
It's because you will have to pay taxes as a business and being honest wont' make much for you. These items are considered refurbished. On ebay you're supposed to label it as such but most label it as brand new. That is how they make a sale. I seen newegg do this saying save 20% off and when you look at it they list as new but when you buy it in the invoice they list it as refurbished.. RMA. Which is a scam and their software detects you buying the it em so when you go back to the listing it changes to listed as refurbished. Which is illegal. It violates marketing laws. It's considered as a bait and switch tactic. Yet, they still do it and no one does nothing about it.
Dude, people return items so they can get their REFUND. They won't recover their costs if they sell it online. There aren't enough suckers in the world who would buy online from people who paid retail and then immediately jacked up the price as a resell. You like to argue with your own shadow don't you?
I like to buy stuff when it's more expensive and hoard it in my neighbor's backyard. I also use my overpriced backyard blender to clean the the ceiling fans that are on the wall, and use the $600 vacuum cleaner to fry plantains.
How is it an ideal tactic if folks buy a random box with goods and don't know what they're receiving? It seems most items you're get you'll regret now owning. Sure you CAN sell it back but folks are lazy. I'd search that store sure (if I'm ever in New York) but that mystery box seems scummy to me.
It triggers the same part of the brain that gambling does. Usually they fill these boxes with things that don’t get purchased on the cheapest day or items missing parts because people rip the boxes open and throw the parts everywhere.
These re-stores are wonderful for the environment! And saves people money 💰 too. ALL this merchandise in people's homes and not the landfills is good ( for a while anyway because eventually it will be in a landfill). Supermarkets contribute to this problem, too. The overage in their inventory could be sold, or just plain given to free supermarket stores! Actual buildings, not just food banks. There is a California law that fines supermarkets for their contribution to the harmful methane in the atmosphere that their food products are causing in landfills. It's a thing. Look it up.
This is not REDUCE, this is the prime example of overproduction, over consumption and the fact that retailers make it easy to return purchases enable people to buy then return items which then creates this inventory. We would not have this if there was a consequence to buying, remember when you had to really think about a purchase because of the hassle of returning? Oh and how much of the items in those $50 boxes gets thrown out by the buyers because they were unwanted. I think it is safe to say that half the items purchased from these kinds of stores gets thrown out anyways. And we all wonder why we do not have money at the end of the month for groceries and utility bills. CUZ YOU WASTE IT ON THOSE $50 MYSTERY BOXES!!
TODAY.... Sorry but you're about 5 years too late for this video. Next week you'll have a "Pallet Sale" or Pallet Auction" type vids. I'm sure NYC has been busy with these before my small city in Kentucky got this 5 years ago n Try an original idea!

Exactly you’re the only smart person I see in the comments. Everyone else would possibly try to buy this crap. And wonder why they can’t survive.
@@ShimmySha well to be fair many of these people resell those items
But if you DO need the $500 item and you check to see if a place like this has it for cheaper, you're saving money.
Most sane comment
You should tell that to my wife! lol
Just goes to show how much stuff is overpriced in stores.

Retail profit margins are very low (many go bankrupt) it’s just that labor costs are expensive so they have to charge a lot more
This is unsustainable. We shouldn’t be over consuming like this.
It helps reduce landfill waste because products that would normally be thrown away are bought up for a lower price.
@@shadowqueen2134 I agree with you on that but should we really be buying all those things? Were they even needed or were they just an impulse purchase?

So now instead of buying stuff at stores, you buy stuff that were sold at Amazon, at stores.
😆😆🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
that the buyers resell at Amazon 😅
We have a store like this in my city. Mostly Amazon returns

A Hoarder and a Shopaholic go here to have babies.
a hoarders paradise
Tuesday Morning came up with the "re-commerce" concept decades ago. Their store locations were closed, and only exist online any more.
I’ve had bad luck in “bin store model businesses” in the past; but by the look of this particular establishment, it seems like you can score a good deal. They’re not all selling bad merchandise.
This is a sad reflection of what a consumer focused society we truly are. Unwanted stuff that are bought that are not need in the first place.
Exactly but cry about mortgage rates, interest rates, insurance rates, grocery prices.
"For us personally, we like to try to find items that sell." So, he's buying items here and selling them elsewhere.🤔
Yep. It is a business for some
@@AF-wf6vo The reason I noticed what he said is because his wife looked guilty of something.🤣
Ebay
Where I live the resellers were always the first ones in the door, always knew where the most valuable items were located, hoarded them all and would sit in the corner checking prices.
@DeadAir21 garage sales were also once a fun place to shop until resellers turned them into an opportunity to buy and resell for profit.
I like the idea. Reduces landfill and gives products a 2nd chance. Sometimes buying refurbished is a great deal.
$15 iPhone is the original price before Apple mark it up
Absolutely incorrect. iPhones cost roughly $500 each to manufacture.
I found a 2020 iPad for $50 at a flea market
that's why i go to the flea market.
the bin store model is unsustainable. once their rent increases or price of inventory it will be out of business.
Exactly
I’ve seen it happen. We have multiple bin stores where I live and the prices started at $10 on the restock day, now it’s 15 and I feel like the quality is going down because now stores are plucking the quality stuff out of bins and selling them at a higher price.
Unfortunately, those returns make their way back to Amazon. How many times have I bought items that have been opened or worst used.
Interesting. Mystery box
That cut scene to the guy and the wire trip is nutz 😅
1:36 lol the hardware pops
However…The insanity is going to a place like this or buying an “open box” item at Best Buy then expecting all the parts to be there….or it to actually work. 😂.
“I bought a $2,000 tv for $300.. but why doesn’t it have a remote or a manual?”
Nothing Amazon can’t fix. They have remotes, parts, tools… heck even google has free manuals you can read. What a shocker 😮

Love it!!!❤
Also, this is a very good concept to sell secondhand items also because of the cost-of-living is going up
What a scam rich will get richer and the poor will stay poor
Please open one in North Caroline 😅
Where isvthis store
It’s like Krazy Bins here in Canada.
Is there one in New York City side?
YESSSSSSSSSS, we broke from paying rent. We need this!
This reminds me of two stores in the south, one called ozzies and the other one called “ dirt cheap “
Also why people return items and products instead of re selling it themselves on E Bay or Craigslist or on Facebook Marketplace for a profit?
i return my items so i can get my money back

Amazon sells cheap items and fake
Great place to sell all that stolen merchandise
I want one in nz

Great idea
Nice
This has been what Japan has been doing for decades! 🎉 Finally
This is so much better than Kendrick vs Drake beef. Something I can utilize
Circular commerce. Hope he is profitable. People love hunting for items; it's like Christmas everyday at those types of "bin" stores.
Just don't buy product that you don't really want...if really want to save your hard earned money
look at 1:34 see the sparks!!!🤩
And ends up on ebay
Don't fall into the trap of buying to resale it. Sometimes you win..most times you loose.

How to save money = stop overconsuming and buying things you don't need
They need to re-commerce.
are those stolen goods resale .looks like a swap meet
Then you have to rent a storage unit, because you have no more room in your house.
Buy buy buy! Isn’t it cheaper for them to just sell them online
In person shopping is still a thing? I thought online shopping would make in person shopping obsolete, outdated and old fashioned?
@matt5539they do, and have groceries, meds, clothes, etc delivered to them without leaving that rock lol
