@@Primer2toneGarage Sorry for being rude. You got a like from me either way. Do you REALLY need to drain the coolant though? i gotta do the oil change too and i only have one drain pan lol. Seems like the thermostats on my altima are stuck open, so i dont have a rush to fix it.
Hello. I have a 2010 Altima 2.5L. My check engine light is on due to a thermostat warning. My engine heats up a little late but not too late. When I took out the thermostat, the top part was completely close and the bottom completely open. What can be the problem? TY
Just run across your video . Had the same code 128 show up on my 2007 Nissan Altima after having new radiator and hose replaced seems to be the thermostat and ECT sensor because my mechanic said he should have went ahead and replaced it but didn't wasn't thinking it was bad but it's ok because it doesn't cost that much to replace them. And I've taken very good care of this 2007 Nissan Altima only got 140,000 mi on it all highway miles and one owner stays well maintenance but it is what it is .
I have 2012 Nissan Altima which has two thermostat in it. Since I live in a hot region where temperature is usually around 48 degrees celcius during summer so should we remove a single thermostat if not both of them?
What is the hose that goto the firewall. My mom's car is leaking from that hose, so I took it out, it was a pain. I just need to know the name so I can order it for her
The OBD error code tells you that. Now the code is a bit vague so to be on the safe side, its recommended to change the 2 valves to avoid having to do the same job again.
It would be VERY helpful if you showed the process of taking off the housings.
Yeah, I’m sorry about that mate. I need to get a better setup for recording so I can do it hands free.

I believe it’s the heater hose.
So where's the second thermostat
Is it the same thermostat for both areas
Are they both the same size?
How did you know the heater valve was bad?

Next time use tin foil n cleaner. Aluminum cleans safer without worrying about ye ol wire wheel…
