Black bars appear because the video uploaded may include horizontal black bars at the bottom and top of the video player to fit an aspect ratio of 4:3. The RUclips video player has an aspect ratio of 16:9, so it adds vertical black bars to fit according to the dimension. And in this video, we will help you get rid of this trouble and remove annoying black bars from RUclips videos, ultimately increaseing video quality.
hey filmora , ur software needs alot of features such as motion tracker , pip designer , transitions designer and more so please add them ...who is with me hits like 😉

@@HA-fw8kd What?
Very helpful video. I have this problem a lot, so I look forward to using technique number one more!
Extremely helpful. I've moved form Windows Live Media Player to Filmora. Thanks!
this was SO helpful. thank you so much
I was getting the black bars even though my project was 16:9 and so was my camera. It was driving me mad, then i realised i was exporting in 4k DCI instead of 4k UHD which instantly fixed it, thanks.
Thank you! I tried what the video showed and it wasn't working for me. I saw your comment and tried it, now I don't have the borders
Thank you soo much! I had no idea how to fix it, my videos won't look silly anymore. Hopefully X)
As if I downloaded Filmora, followed all the steps of part 3 for it to basically be a zoomed in version of my original clip? that makes a different problem now.
Thank you man you saved my life
Thank you very much for this video😊
This is what i need thanks😊
It used to be you could just type in yt:stretch=16:9 in the tags to fix the aspect ratio but for some reason this doesn't work anymore.
how to cut video bars and change aspect ratio. i dont want them in any shape. just to be gone so the video will not be 16:9 but 9:16.
I like your pfp :) Scribblenauts rocks
thank you sir its worth too watch this content :)
Really awesome!
btw everytime i zoom in using the pan&zoom it changes the aspect ratio and i always see little black lines on my videos is there a way to prevent that
thank you for this info
Thank you!
You're a lifesaver
Thankkkkkksssss sooooo much!!!!!
Hi, I tried what you said, and even with the overlay/ background combo, for some reason the black bars won't go away and instead cover the color background, making the color darker... it's weird. I use Filmora9. Thanks.
helps me. thank you.
This is offtopic but i used filmora in windows with no problems. Now im using it in a mac and its so buggy. Any solutions?
thx i don't use filmora but you still fixed my problem
while yes number three TOTALLY removes the bars, its a shame that it crops part of the video off
Thnx a bunch
nice video thanks
please i downloaded the latest version of the fimora and i didn't see basic text can you tell me where and how to use to it
We’re in 2020 and they still haven’t changed their aspect ratio
So annoying
can't we stretch the resolution from 4:3 to 16:9?
I play games on stretched resolutions and I need to edit and upload in that same stretched resolution
problem is even if I am playing at 4:3 stretched in 16:9 monitor, the recorder captures only a 4:3 video and I can't find any tool to stretch it. Adobe Premiere Pro has the feature but it is too resource heavy for my pc
Tq for information
Wow thank you very much for helping out .
Filmora Video Editor okay thank you 😊
Filmora Video Editor 😜
thanks I was searching for this and coincidence i was using filmora
same
tnx u very much really appreciate ur effort ... what is the name of ur bg music
hey filmora, instead of the big watermark that shows in the middle of your video you should try putting it at the corner.
so u can crop it in youtube editor nice idea
I use it to edit my gameplay footage. Is there a way to stretch a 4:3 ratio to a 16:9 in the top line? And if not could you guys add it? I dpnt want to crop out the hud and stretching in the second line is very time consuming
But what if I want to crop vertical bars either side of a 4:3 video that has been created as a 16:9, then save it as a true 4:3 video. Is this possible? Thanks.
Can you help me? I use Filmora X on my Mac and I did 16:9 crop on my video and there are still bars. I checked, unfortunately the project ratio is 16:9 and it still has black bars.
I do not have that wand tool to blur the other back ground image on my Formila 9 I do have the paid version, where can I find it?
Question, when they aren't my vidoes, how do I fix this? Like as I am watching your video, these black bars appear at the top and bottom and cut things out. How do I fix this?
Which editor do you use for making this video?
For some reason, I can't expand my crop after changing it to 16:9. The box doesn't expand and only shows my face.
huge watermark on free version..... wasted 3 hrs of work
Hi, whenever i export at 1440x1080 or 1920x1080 it gives me black borders all the way around the video. why is this?
please help!
In the first method, the blur addition, do we loose any parts of the video ?
in my case this doesn't work, every time a scale the video filmora adds the cinematic bars for some reason, even if they are not present in the preview, I had to use sony vegas instead. Sad, because filmora's render is better
OMG THANKS MEN IT WORKS
That 2.39:1 is present in all almost most phone and when you use screen recorder those black bars appears and its really hard to get rid of it and even if you edit those you lost resolution in RUclips
i need helps, as i record the gameplay of fortnite, i play on 1440x1080 resolution but the vidoe came out like 1980x1080 resolution and i wanted to remove black bars but i cant, so i change my display resolution to 1440x1080 and record my gameplay with OBS record. Which its very thought and take a long time to do. Can you tell me please? I beg you, Flilmora is the best editor application.
What if the original video ratio is 1:1 and the aspect ratio in filmora is only 16:9 and 4:3? How will I remove the black bars without cropping or zooming the video? Please help.
Thankssssss
I have an iPhone X and idk if iPhone X models see different than other iPhone models? Cause iPhone X is full screen

What to do with old videos which already uploaded..plz
Will this work for Gaming videos, too?
what picture in picture track? I'm not getting to add the video to any second track.
My Videos are 16:9 and I just checked and they still play with a black bar top and bottom... on my computer before youtube upload they do not have these bars. I tried on filmora and this tutorial and still have the same issue.
I need to remove bars from the top and bottom. I accidentally created my project in 4:3 and I need it to be in 16:9
the video in the program is with bad quality and can barely read text how to fix that (only when i export quality is good)
Next update is shapes which we can add like if we want to have blank bars like how we can do it in Final Cut Pro and one more please update for 32 bit we can only use till 8.1
I have the right aspect ratio and resolution, black bars don't show when previewing the video but they will appear after exporting, what to do? Videos are recorded in 1920x1080
This does not fix the aspect. My video was stretched horizontally and I want to fix this but I see no way to do it. Can you help? I don't need to crop or zoom I need to shrink from the sides or if nothing else stretch from the top and bottom.
If I am changing the aspect ratio to 16:9.the video is getting crop from the top part.
How can I change the aspect ratio to 19.5:9 with Stretch fit on Android Pie?
Can you do this on bottom and top?
I have a 16:9 camera and still have black bars after doing all these steps. Is this a software issue?
Can u do a flash effect like in the TV show?
I've found that by exporting my 4k Drone videos at 3840 pixels × 2160 it will fill the youtube screen. Before I was choosing 4096 x 2160 (which gave black bars on the sides AND top and bottom) thinking that was better just because 4096>3840, not realizing it wasn't a 16:9 res.
No hate or anything but I’ve been trying to edit my video for a long time and my screen keeps going black. How could I fix this. Also this software take a long time to load on my computer. How could I fix that as well. I’ve just having trouble with this software and it’s been getting annoying, but maybe I just don’t know how to properly use the software. Idk
i beleive some of them could be fix by adjusting the resolution, like 1920x1080p...
can someone help me? this never happened before but now everytime i export a video to my laptop from premire pro i get black bars all the way around my video, how do i get rid of this issue?
E quando for 9:16. Sempre que salvo aparecem as barras laterais. Deveria ter uma opção que remove de fato essas barras.
I'm trying to get rid of creases after I clrl copy. It won't let me drag dissolve??
How do you get the tv shows you purchase to 16:9

Hello, is there any way to MERGE projects?
But it happens to *every video* not just the ones I make, but the videos I watch from every channel. And the black bars take up half the vid so I can’t even see it 😞 any help?
where ma csgo homies at
yee
How can I stretch res montage
I took pictures for a read aloud and it seems filmora blurs the words. I don't know why. In the pictures they are clear.
If u want that black bar to go without cropping you could drag and drop the video into the secondary video section and you will see the selection of video . Then simply stretch the video to 16:9. It is mostly useful for making 16:9 videos of videos recorded in Ipad etc.
If anyone needs help with this, please comment below.

There is Filmora written on my vedio..
how could I remove it
can you add for invisible bars
The first method didnt work for me and seems like the easiest way.
Can we resize the video
Got issue when black lines are all over the clip, not just vertical or horizontal. This is happening when watching on a phone. On a PC it is ok.
4 mins video
720P
only 7MB
how...?
Technology A to Z compressed video file
theres very little movement and the detail is of the screen capture is fixed so its not really 720p. and bit rate matters a lot.
In the crop and zoom screen I can't manage to full up the screen on the right side, it stays with black bars.
What do I wrong?
Suggestions and help very welcome😊
