Here's a rundown of the video content. Let’s get started!
Gimbal
Chapter Title: #1 Camera Stabilizer
Matt: “The first option you have for achieving steady footage is to use some sort of camera stabilizer. That could be a tripod, a dolly slider, a glide cam, a chair! or even a gimbal which is what I have here.” (broll shots of stabilizers
VO: This is the gimble and it works great to steady your camera and give you cinematic shots as you move around. I’ll show you what the gimbal footage looks like compared to hand-held footage. First have a look at the hand-held footage.
VO: Now have a look at the gimbal footage.
VO: And here are both clips played side-by-side. As you can see the gimbal delivers a much smoother shot than the hand-held one.
Matt: If you can’t get your hands on a stabilizer then you can use option number 2 to steady your footage.
Slow Motion
Transition - Chapter Title: #2 Slow Motion
Matt: If you have to film your camera handheld then filming slow motion can help you reduce camera shake in your footage. In order to capture slow motion in your camera there are two settings you need to change. You want to make sure at a minimum that your frame rate is set at 60fps or for those of you that use PAL cameras, I’m looking at you Australia, then you want to set it at 50fps. Once you have set your frame rate then you want to change your shutter speed. The rule of thumb is to set your shutter speed at double your frame rate. So if your frame rate is 60 fps then you want to set your shutter speed at 1-120th of a second. Alright let’s capture some slow-motion footage.
Transition
VO: Now let’s compare the footage when it is played back in real-time versus when it is played in slow motion. First the real-time footage.
“You can see that the camera is still really jerky at times because the camera can be really difficult to hold still. Now let’s have a look at the footage when it is played in slow motion.
“Now those bumps in the camera that you noticed when the footage was played in real-time have been completely slowed down and because less jarring. The footage is now easier to watch and has a more cinematic feel.
Matt: Now I’ll show you option three for stabilizing your video footage.
Transition
Screen Recording: Now you can import your slow-motion video footage into Filmora.
Filmora Video Stabilizer
Matt: So that’s how to avoid shaky footage in-camera. Now I’m going to show you how to stabilize your footage using Filmora.
Transition
Screen Recording: First you will want to import your shaky footage. You can do that by clicking on Import, then import your media files. Then select the video clips that you want to import and select Ok. In the media library you can go ahead and right click on the video clip and select Video Stabilization. Then it’s as simple as clicking on the stabilize video button and the Filmora will analyze your footage and stabilize it for you. Then you can make adjustments to the smoothness level. If your footage is quite shaky then you can slide the adjust smooth level to the right and if it isn’t too shaky then you can slide it to the left. Then select the destination folder that you want to save your stabilized video too and then click on save.
That’s how you can stabilize your shaky videos in Filmora.
I can't find the stabilization option, I downloaded the filmora pro free. Thanks
filmora stabilizer kills the video quality .... its useless
if its 4k, i think just fine
Correct, not all videos are 4k.
It shows filmora limitation. Even movie Maker can produce better results.
To use the stabilizer you need to click on the video that is playing at the bottom screen with the timeline, not the video in the upper window.
BURT YOUR AMAZING YOU SHOULD BE THE ONE DOING THE VIDEOS...
I dont have Video Stabilization when I right click. Why?
i dont either?
You have to click on '+' and then right click below on the timeline ;)
me too
@@aaroshnakarmi7320 Import the video into the timeline
double click it
in the edit panel the 3rd option is of video stabalization
cheers mate
Your software is good but add some plugins we cant do ours animation with filmora or qucik zoom and shake vidéo
Thanks you
i need a tutorial video stabilize in filmora 9. my video keep mirroring at the corner n getting weird footage.
SAME my entire video mirrors diagonally when I apply the stabilization feature.
I just downloaded Filmora and when I right-click on the video clip i DO NOT! get the video stabilization option 😕
Can you do a video on how to create a moving logo like your filmora logo please!
Too bad, there is no RUclips built-in stabilization. Filmora stabilization sucks. Ruins video.
Yea. Nice video except the video stabilisation button does simply not exist in the current version of Filmora.
Is no video stabilization in my Mac installation. Right click, that option does not exist.
That's a good info!
When you right click there is no stabilization option
I love this software so so much! It's very easy and me and my friend are planning to make a video soon with this software, thanks so much!
I will share it with you :) Just one quick question, the discount I got was 30% off but it was only $10 so I was wondering what to do :)
In Filmora 9 you have to bring the VID down to the track first..then you click right and select Stabilization.
Hey, I like Filmora but if I use stabilisation it seems to round out the edges, bending any images that are near the extremities so I just don't use it. Do you know why this would be?
If anyone else is struggling to find the stabilization option on Filmora 12, You can find this option after adding your video to the timeline, and then on the right side tabs, select "AI tools" and scroll down to the "stabilization" option.
Thanks George - I could not find it anywhere and their instructions (written in February 2023 - that is after your comment) put it under edit!
Video you came here for starts at 3:00.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You are using Mac, but Filmora for windows? This means you installed windows on the Mac?
Hey I just downloaded Filmora. Why are my imported videos moving slowly and why is there no sound??
new to this. I have no complaints with filmora, when I stabilize my video it goes blurry. anyone know why ?
I’ve got Filmora 9 and when you right click on the video there in no image stabilisation option please help?
Does anyone know what program youtube used to provide us for video stabilization? I want to buy and use the same program for my videos. It was provided for free in the enchancement tab of editing, but it is no longer available. If anyone from youtube also can answer my question, that would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hi, at 3:18 you say to click the "video stabilization" option, but I don't see it in the free trial, version 9.4.7 (5, 9, 0, 53.1). I'm trying to stabilize a shaky, handheld short video.
We downloaded your program and this is false. Clicking right click Menu does NOT offer Stabilization. Besides the employee who filmed this is utterly rude and should be fired.
It would be better if you did not waste so much time at the beginning of the video. Just get on with it!
So you forgot to mention couple of things.
1- If you are trying Filmora for free it will add Watermark to your video.
2- You must create an account with Filmora before you export your video.
yes dear i am here for the first time, lets hope it's free
Hi there!your video helps me a lot .. actually I need your help regarding filmora issues, whenever I applying pan and zoom tool my video clips start shivering.have you any solution?
Awesome, will try this later. I hope stabilization is available with Filmora version 8.
Can you please launch fireworks effects set for diwali festiwal in india please
Please advise, I exported ps4 gameplay from my elgato to filmora and its out of sync when I exported it. The voices don't match the gameplay, why is this happening...
I've changed the settings so many time 60fps to 30fps why...
Woo bro, that's a TOP TIP you just gave away for free.. lol
Slow down the speed of the footage. Why didn't i think of that!
Nice bro, thanks for that!! I subbed, cool.
Is there any way to remove the BIG FILMORA BAND ACCROSS THE VIDEO?????
Nice, but why do we have to stabilize, export, then import again. That's rather cumbersome if you have many clips. Stabilizing the clips and saving back to the clip library would be easier. Even better, stabilize the video after editing. The computer would then only have to stabilize the parts of the clips that you use in the final video.
Why didn't you answer Color Mixing s Question? I have no option for stabilization either????
just i have been trying to figure out.. stabilization in filmora.. thanks a lot
What brand gimbal are you using please? If possible, please provide a link to read about its specs and price. Thank you.
Video stabilization is fantastic. Please support and improve that in future updates.
Thanks filmora
I find that the Filmora stabilizer is pretty crappy bc it takes FOREVER to stabilize, and sometimes all it does is crop the edges but not stabilize, making it look even more shaky
So this doesn't work because you have changed the software, how about updating the video.
How can i stabilize multiple videos at the same time? It's a waste of time to have to do it individually for example when i’m making a travel vlog with a LOT of videos.
Have downloaded the free trial but am unable to locate stabilization to try out the feature. Have followed your instructions here to no avail.
This has nothing to do with this exact video but I just wanted to let you know. Thank you for helping me with my dream.
Add some better facial or motion tracking when you need to blur something out
my video has lil shaky movement, but it became shakier and worst after i stabilized. mine is Filmora 9.5.1.8 version
lol the intro and outro was very funny
Where did you buy that Gimbal from btw? I need recommendation.
For a video i recorded in my car using the phone and a magnetic phone holder fixed on the window, this didn't software work at all so time wasted
Dear Filmora,
Thank you so so much for this amazing tutorial ..I was having a tough time making a youtube video but you guys made it easy for me . 😄
iS THERE ANY WAY TO REMOVE THE BIG BAR FILMORA ACCROSS THE FINISHED V??????
if I use the stablisation in fimora, my frames starts to overlap at some point of time. I get this use in all videos once i take on this option. Can you help me out to make this work...
bit of a bag it dont do it on the time line. infact it is rubbish, it don't do it at all.... whats a loead of uuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhheaaaa
What about the fact that there's a noticable quality reduction in the video?
Well of course there would be since it's essentially cutting out the shaky bit and zooming it in a bit. Use higher quality original and more excess around edges.
*Stabilization* does not mean *cropping* the edges 😀😿
Good tutorial :)
filmora stabilizer kills the video quality.
Tutorial Effects lightsabe please
The free version does NOT have video stabilization.
It is actually worth saying that Filmora's video stabilisation is SO much better than the one most people use on RUclips upon uploading... You know, the one everyone complains about then calls all stabilisation bad!
What model Gimbal are you using in this video?
That is great to reduce movement or shaky effect
Hi ! I have a problem with this function : In the preview window the video is stabilized, but in the exported video not. If someone could help me to find the solution please...
@@FilmoraWondershare Yes I did. Your support team answered quickly and now the the analysis of my problem by your experts is in progress. Thank you. If the solution of the problem can be applied by other users I will share it in the comments.
Is there any way to remove the BIG FILMORA BAND ACCROSS THE VIDEO?????
Good...Slo mo idea..will try
I have shared the info for Filmora with several of my friends who are also crafters. I have been helping them work out any problems they may be having until they get use to the program. So now that I know, I'm not the only crafter out there and that at least 20 of my friends are now also using this program, would you consider putting in more craft related add ons. I bought the one add on that I thought showed someone doing watercoloring in the background and was disappointed to find out that wasn't actually part of the package. We could use scissor's that cut thru a picture or scene to transition to the next scene, washi tape would be a great way for us to add text to the bottom of our screens, something really cool would be for a marker to show up and write out the text we have added. I've mentioned this before in a previous video and would really appreciate it if you guys would consider doing more things that us crafter could use to enhance our video's. I'm never going to need to be able to video a fight scene and add flames coming from the barrel of my gun, unless my husband tries to take my craft supplies. LOL So I was hoping that you would reach out to this part of your customer base. Thanks for the consideration. ~ Sherry
I downloaded Filmora9, bought the 1yr subscription and love the program. Problem is, I do not have the video stabilization option when I right click my media. What version do I need to have for that option? I have V 9.2.9.13
Just found it. Read a few comments below, figured it out. :)
cutting video because off shaking bad
Thanks man, I Love you .. short video and and big help
Is this entire video was editted in Filmora?
HOW TO SCREENBUMB... PLEASE !
I use Filmora for now, but when I turn the slider to the right like you say to reduce shakiness, then the video changes and parts of it is not showing, because it gets too close to the object. How can I fix that?
not bad of a technique i think i might try it.
the stabilizer doesn't exist for free version
This is not working well in filmora.
Thanks! When I use my phone to film, it's always shakier than my camera. This will definitely help.
I want too be the part of your community
Oh my, i'm so into Filmora now.
when will you launch Filmora Pro ?
what version you used this last 4 years ago..
that options is not available when i do it. Why is that? on a MAC
I'm new fan. .. I'm from Morocco
Hey!There will be A Day when there will be intro templates available for Filmora.I am eagerly waiting for it.
Loving the software so far, but is there a way for my to use the null object affect? like zooming in but it follows a specific object while zoomed.
Yeah like say I'm croping a portion of my video (or zooming) and then persay i moved in the video, well the crop wpuld move right with it instead of being focused on what it was zoomed on. basically I'm looking for a zoom that follows an object in place or a way I can manually determine its path.
Awesome and easy stabilization tool! Thanks for posting this! I will definitely stabilize my videos through here now versus Hitfilm
Well don't download and try the Free Version of this sofware, Filmora, hoping to test their Video Stabilization. The Video Stabilization option shown in the video is not available to use.
@@FilmoraWondershare Thanks for the comment. I found the stabilization checkbox you pointed me to. I obviously found the RUclips link on an old web article, and followed it wanting to test and compare your stabilization filter with the anti shake filter on my Corel Video Studio software. I appreciate your time. Yet do you know how easy it is to remove and update old outdated videos from RUclips? Might want to say something to your marketing team. ;)
i don't have "stabilization" option when rightclicking ...
me neither!! I've tried final cut pro x, can anybody help and tell what's the problem???

what if we have many clips? do we stabilize it 1 by 1 bfore xporting into 1 whole vid?
or we combine them by xport 1st, then stabilize it after it got combined then xport again? will that reduce the quality so much?
Why does my entire video mirror diagonally when I apply the stabilization feature?
Filmora9
that options not available when i do it. Why is that?
Thanks for sharing brah ive done a lot of shaky videos and im surprised upon watching this peace out
filmora 9 has no stabilization
I m very old fan of your channel.
I have viewd all your video.
Thanks

Awesome! I'm only having trouble about using reverse video feature. Somehow, the video loses its quality. Are there any setting that I can change?
I am using Filmora 9 but I do not get the video stabilization option when I right click on the file.
@@FilmoraWondershare Got it. Thank you.
How to make motion text
Nice and what if i record games :D i really want to see some good footage effect, quality to improve my games i would be verry nice if you make it happend.
It's not shaky i just hope you will make filmora much and much better i like it for now but i think you can improve it much more to be a pro editor like maybe smooth slo-mo or other kind of things i'm always watching the video's maybe you can make more harder gaming tutorials on filmora how to edit like a pro.
You're welcome :D
how you make your own countdown??
