I don't understand... I have Fiber internet with speeds of 500 upload & download. But when I check my speeds on xbox, the speeds don't go higher than 95 download & 75 upload
@@hyuqie_ I figured the problem... It's the ethernet cables. If you look on the cables, they have a CAT# on them. Depending on the wire, some have limited speeds. CAT1 through CAT5 will never go higher than 100mbps. So I bought a CAT6 wire, which speeds are up to 1000 mbps, and now my xbox speeds are what they are supposed to be. Cause I have 500mbps up/down internet... and now that is what my xbox gives me. So I recommend you check your ethernet cable, and look what kind of CAT# yours are.
You are the Man! I checked mine and switched it out and it worked... I have FIOS Fiber optic and my Xbox X is blazing fast. If you have a Gigabit Internet switch (mine is NETGEAR GS605) in between your router and device make sure you unplug this device also, then plug it back in and restart Xbox everything should now work. 👍
@@goranmarjanovic1401 no, it has nothing to do with that. It was my ethernet cable I was using that was the problem. I didn't know that there were different types/speeds of wires... I thought they were all the same. But I uograded to a Cat6 wire and my speeds are what they are supposed to be now.
Might have to give some of this a go sometime. My Series X has always been very slow for downloads, yet the PS5 downloads at or near maximum speed all the time, and I've never touched any settings like that in it. :p
It made my download speed higher, but it didn’t make my upload speed any higher. Idk what to do there, I’m trying to get better upload speed for streaming. Nothings worked, please help me.
Mine went from 33mbs to 34mbps. Which isnt alot but it also went from 116 lantency down to 68 which is pretty good. An wirless strength went from 50% to 66%
Have a question and I'm kinda new at this WiFi mesh thing, i got the deco 20, came with 3 nodes, got one plugged into the router, and put one next to my Xbox x, is there a way to have the Xbox x only recognize the node right next to it?
I guessing thats bandwidth but with the actual through put is lower with all the traffic on the network and the latency from hopping from routers/cell towers its hops some how but different sense its starlink and not setup like a normal network so the hops might be longer
Happy to help mate, DNS codes vary based on your location. A quick google can help you determine which DNS code is best for you and your network connection.
That is a ridiculously low upload speed buddy unfortunately however upload speeds don’t really contribute to anything when it comes to gaming. As long as you have great download (which you do) and a low latency you’re all good. Hope this helps. 👍
People really be complaining about getting 40 mbps. Here i am on the daily with max 5mbps and 700 latency
I’m the same sometimes kbps
I'm on 600 Mbps but run 20 ish ping in game and idk why
My mates be getting 200 Mbps and get 0 ping
Because if you’re paying for 1 Gbps & you’re only getting 40 Mbps then you have every right to complain

That’s exactly what is happening to me! I even have the same speeds as you… And I don’t understand😅

You're on 2.4 instead of 5g

I didn't think I could get above 1000 on download but to my surprise this did the trick. 😊
It works perfectly. My speed went up from 120/150 to 500/600 Mb/s

This didn't change my speed much at all but it was worth the try. Thanks!!!
Changing the port seemed to help for me. The best port wasn’t the last one though, I tested all of them twice. Managed to go from 40 to 20 latency.
What was the port that worked for you?
My ISP told me IPv6 was for business accounts only. How did you get your ISP to set it to 4 and 6, just call them and they did it?

Nothing works am only staying around 60 - 75 no higher than that any other ways to do it pls respond
I pay for 2GB internet, nothing i do gets me above 800mbps down and like 150mpbs up.. I always have 50ms latency. This freakin sucks.
I just got my series s and it literally wont go above 40mbps....
Is your issue solved
I’m having to same
@@barewaliaboy249I fixed it but it only lasted for a few minutes
It made my latency go up just barely but it made my download speed go up a lot
Did not know about the Manual port thing. Thank you!
You’re welcome bro!
Thank you so much it went from 25 to 105
My latency is staying between 80 and 120, even after this. Any other ideas?

Late... but yes. There's a "connection preference" tab when choosing your Xbox on the deco app.
the Google DNS port settings decreased Latency by 5
all of the other suggestions increased Latency by 5-30
170mbs to 210mbs, it works.
Thanks it helped a lot. 🎉❤
Yeah id take a guess its mainly the port cause my download went from 20-30 to 150-160
