Hey man so when I go to change my hz back to 120 and I change it it does this mad glitch thing on my TV with this green thing in the bottom and a glitchy almost unreadable screen I did everything right up to that step and that one step messed me up
And please if you see the replay have this conversation with me because I would love to fix this and if I can't, change it back the right way without messing things up
sounds like you just need to lower your "bit per pixel" .. this is assuming your seeing your sreen in some way once its set to 120hz. with or without the green glitchy stuff. some tvs just cant support this much. so - that being said id work backwards - go from highest to lowest until you find a BPP (Bit Per Pixel) value your tv supports whilst still allowing 120hz. my tv supports the maximum value but ive have people report not being able to do 120 without having the lowest BPP setting .all depends on your display but this usually fixes it. ps, dont forget to put your resolution back to 1080p
Thanks so much. Worked perfectly. I got a new 240hz monitor. “I knew Xbox can only support up to 120hz” but it would only allow me to run it at 60hz. Glad I can get the 120hz. Woulda been lost without this video. Thanks for the help.
@Kameron-The-Crafter xbox cannot do 120 @ 4k regardless. 1080p @ 120 is the only option for now even if your TV supports it. Next generation of Xbox will likely use display port in some way and be able to do more.

@TURTLETIMEGAMINGOFFICIAL lmao sorry. I fried my pc and am stuck with an xbox one. Now.. does it work on both gens of xbox or only the xbox one s ? I'm asking because the xbox one came with 30 fps stock lol
@Shooter_Mcgavin69 you should be able to enable it, but the older your hardware the less frames you'll likely get. Also older gens sometimes have locked framerates depending on the game. Fortnite is a great example. Even though you can enable 120hz within the dashboard of your xbox on older gens, you would need a series s or x copy of the game to see the option required to enable 120hz within the game itself. It started spitting colors at me but i guess my monitor dont support it 😭
My xbox cant even hit 60hz how do i get more
It didn’t work for me I don’t think my monitor can handle it it just says out of range on the monitor
Hey man, I followed the steps but when I click refresh rate and change it to 120 hz then it goes black and then doesn’t change and stays at 60 hz. What do I do
Same happened to me and I can't see shitttt
You buy a monitor that supports 120hz. if it isnt going to 120 when you switch it - your monitor/tv doesnt support it.
Very helpful !! Thank you
No problem !
When setting the hertz to 120, my monitor said “input not supported.” I have an acer monitor with an xbox one s. This is the monitor, right? It’s not old or anything, though
Sometimes it could be the monitors fault I have a new one but I'm replacing it because it's 144hz but I can't get 120hz on d2..
Also if you do what's in this video you should have 120 fps by default
@@kulvirmahil1412 On my monitor when I do what’s in the video it corrects to the 60 because the monitor physically can’t run that
Sounds like you answered your own question :p
