The TGV valves could be stuck. You can removed the butterfly valve off them its a fuel saving thing when cold. Had it on my subaru it would accelerate and power would drop like a swinging motion.
People keep talking about it being acceleration pedal. I just can’t seem to find the right one for my. 2007 2.0 l non turbo. Do you know if a turbo befall would work on a non turbo car?

Did you manage to figure out what was the problem?
My mechanic also thought it may be the knock sensor but it doesn’t seem consistent with what I have read on forums
