I used a ratchet strap to pull the evaporator housing to one side when I replaced the heater core and blower motor on my 9000. Didn't need to empty out the air conditioning.

My dad had 3 900's, you forget how nice they are, i always thought the dash light at night was the best, so easy on the eye with a nice green colour, modern dashes at night are so fussy now with LED overload!

Cheap turbos cost 150 bucks. Who cares? Unless you destroy the engine with no service 😅😂 For short term fun is it cool but on long term maybe do a T51r Mod

Hey, gonna import a 9000 94 2.3t next week from sweden to Norway. Was thinking of switching all dampers to bilstein and 35/35 springs from maptune. Poly for the gearbox, engine and more to stiffen the body. Looked at tune for the car aswell and want to use the stage 6 on maptune if i can dig up all the parts. How has it been for you tuuning the 9000? Great vid

If you put the art.numbers from your receipt...that will be a good help. Because of you caal Auto Doc...they will ask you a lot of Questions which do not help.

BOV and Wastegate are different features. Blocking a wastegate will cause the turbine side to build excess pressure in the exhaust manifold and when the turbo is at boost capacity, the stututu is the turbo spinning too much boost and causing the exhaust to back up. Essentially forcing the compressor to slow down while the turbine wants to go faster. This is when a turbo bearing goes into torsion. BOV is the release of pressure from the compressor side/boost pipe when lack of vacuum returns to the BOV. Don't block your wastegate, you might spool faster but at the cost of a turbo over time. BOV releases boost built up behind the throttle body, and the Wastegate release exhaust built up behind the turbo.

Very cool car, but engine needs at least another 50hp its slower in that 50-100km/h pull than my 1.5dci 110hp..

I need a driver side (usa) CV shaft for 1993 9000 CSE 5 spd full pressure turbo. I hear the length and tripod size are different.. so hard to find out which one I need! Keep the Saab's alive and thanks for the 9000 videos.
