After the last Island Island Survival Challenge on the tiny Island, I thought it be fun to do it again on a bigger lake with a bigger Island. Once again the goal is to go out with no food, no water, and this time despite the fact that there are trees we don't have permission to cut a bunch down so we will do the best with what we have to survive and hopefully thrive on 18 Acre Island. O ya and I say we because it's a Dual survival since Chris is coming with this time!

Sometimes I make teabags of coffee, sugar, maybe creamer. Little string, paper tag and all. You should try it.
Coffee filters, scissors, stapler, string. It's fun and easy.

Also, here is a idea for a survival challenge, start at the beginning of a river and head all the way to the ocean. (Iv been kicking around the idea for years about doing this on the Delaware into the Chesapeake)

i have found that when making cowboy coffee, its better to add the grounds to cold water, and bring that up to a rolling boil, cuts down on the bitter taste. when adding grounds to already rolling boil water, it "shocks" the grounds, and can make the coffee have more of a bitter taste.
but to each is own...

My favorite style of trip is multi-day with proper equipment. Chris is fine company and adds his own adventures. In the end, WOODOBO for the WIN!

16:53 Yes to electric boats, but using Nickle metal hydride rechargeable batteries instead of Lithium or lead acid. Unlike Lithium they don't need a charge controller, and unlike lead acid, they are relatively lightweight. Something unique would be a towable floating solar setup, for range extension and remote charging.

I grew up in TN and “limb lining” was a popular way of fishing. Just hang a big circle hook with bait of choice a couple inches below a swivel a foot under the surface from a sapling hanging out over the water. That would work great in that area for having a fresh breakfast ready in the morning.
