Alana is very interesting, when she is watching romantic stuff, she portrays someone who is all about love.but she gets the same way watching fighting shows,l guess she innocent but deadly 😂. Ps: love the cute smile
After this is the point at which the show starts going from really good to just absolutely fantastic - especially once you get into certain individual characters backstories/motivations. Also, it's a tiny insignificant thing, but one thing I always appreciated about this show is that it acknowledges that it takes TIME to go from one part of the country to another.
The halfway point of the s1 and the hype up epilogue into the second half is too good that it should be illegal LMAO Second half gonna overflow off the plate with all the sauce incoming
I did not see any one mention this so I guess I shall. at 4:50 we can see what is know as welsh romans. after the collapse of the western roman empire, some soldiers stayed in foreign land and lived there. Only history nerds would have picked up on the different armor of askeladd compared to his viking brothers.. it very roman and even his fighting style indicate roman training. very neat edition to include this piece of history that not many know. very cooool
i've been watching your reactions for quite a while and i can safely say your vinland saga reactions are the best so far! you're so hooked and it shows 😂
Askeladd is looking for someone to be his "king" to follow, someone he respects and believes can do great things. He is thinking back to when he found the perfect guy to be his "king" when we see the Thors flashback, him saying he fell for him. Remember he did ask Thors if he wanted to be their leader, and he wasn't joking, even if he said he was.
@@silversrayliegh5924 His father is a Viking king and the only reason Canute got into Christianity, is due to him being raised by Ragna and Harald being the favoured son.
The type of love the priest was probably referring too is agape love or the fatherly love of God for humans, as well as the human reciprocal love for God. In the christian Scriptures, agape love is the highest form of love and is contrasted with eros, or erotic love, and philia, or brotherly love. The translation just isnt too clear about the different forms of love talked about in christianity
askeladd’s cookin up something….
He always does

Canute & Thors are different from all the Vikings we've met.
Canute isn't a Viking, he's Danish. His family is from Denmark, where his brother Harald is Crown Prince. That's also why he's a follower of Christ.
