Thank you. I'm more about my edibles these days, but I do try to keep my finger on the bloomers for the "pretty" and "pollinators".
      Appreciate your watching!

I might have said a swear word when you pulled up those beets, Robin! Holy moly! And your sunflowers look happy and healthy! You were right to cage them. I love all your gargoyles! They're so fun. And all of your pots! That's what I am aspiring for with my patio.

I over winter most of the big pots with geraniums in my attached garage....saves a ton of $$ and effort in the spring.
I pulled all my golden beets today for some airflow. Have you ever tried them? They are very mellow and less earthy than the Detroit reds.

@@RobinGardens I've eaten a golden beet before but I've had crap luck growing them! Though I've only tried growing them at my grandma's and her soil is sandy. Maybe I'll try them as a cool season crop, I still have seeds somewhere. My garage isn't insulated, do you think that matters for overwintering geraniums?

@@latebloomerdiaries4219 My garage never goes below 40 so no fear of freeze. If it gets stupid cold I wrap them in fleece.

Nice garlic Robin, that's the way to do it 👍👍 I love Sweet Williams, you've reminded me that I still need to sow mine 😊
Looks like you are having similar weather to us with sunshine and rain.
Beautiful garden you have, nice to have a tour and a nosey, thank you 😊
    Have a great weekend ❤️

Hey Robin, the weather looks like it's a bit more comfortable for you this week! Your beets look fabulous and the leaves look so good, mine have been scuppered by leaf miner 😢
I have to say you could nearly pass for a hair dresser with those snips, clips and spray bottle in hand 😆love it!
My mum had statues made of similar material in our garden when we lived in the UK, and when I was really young I would paint them in all different water colours, it would rain and then I got to paint them all over again! They add so much character! Love it when you bring us along to Wisconsin 💖

I get leaf minor but they go of my Nasties mostly. The weather is a bit cooler but going right back tomorrow. Up in Wisconsin I started the days with long sleeves.
Ran into 2 friends up there from where we all worked together....such serendipity. The first day started with a flat tire LOL.
I style tomatoes with flare 🤣😂🥰

I watched this again to show my friend the gargoyles. Was just thinking about those alpine strawberries and wonder if you need to keep them cool for a few weeks. I did that when I first started them from seeds. And then this spring, they popped up in the planters where I had them last year and apparently had missed some berries, but they are still very small plants and won't produce this year.

Well they didn't get any "chill" time so we'll see. If it doesn't work I'll try that with the next batch.
TY for showing to your friend.

Your garden is so beautiful. The gargoyles are just such a joy. So characterful. I love Rupert especially.
Those beetroot.. wow.. amazing! The garlic looked great to me too.
Sunflowers are looking fabulous too. There’s going to be some good contenders for Linda’s challenge.
It’s really funny seeing you talk about how brutal the heat has been when we’re all wearing winter coats in England 😂
Wisconsin.. lovely! We have friends in Winconsin. They’re big Green Bay Packers fans. The scapes from those garlic are lovely and the lake looks amazing! What a lovely spot for a holiday home ❤

      Rupert is Al's fav gargoyle.
LOL everyone in Wisconsin loves thier Packers. The house is about an 1.5 hours drive from Green Bay which is the largest city near it.
I should not whine about the heat, because all too soon there will be white stuff everywhere and long john's and coats.🥶

That is so bizarre, I had smaller garlic and none splitters and so did Nigel @Muddybootz, not a garlic kind of year I guess. I’m already harvesting seed too 👍. Tell Al when you’re retired everyday is a national holiday 😂😂. Great clip tips and spray. I have tried sowing strawberry seeds twice and got nothing 😢. Oh I love the dragon on the pot ❤. The three tiered is gorgeous too and all the flowers look stunning. Hope it has cooled down a bit and your not having to water as much, Ali 30c 🌞🇨🇦

I told Al that, but he's not buying it. Well the heat is on her baby.....90's again.
That dragon is soooooo cool, I bring it inside for the winter to enjoy on an inside pot.
Those poona cheer are crazy productive this year in a different spot. Blink and their big.

Ps my sedum is blooming now too and not as tight heads as normal, my climbing nasturtiums took over I had to pull so many 😢😢 or I’d have them everywhere next year

So what's with that? I've NEVER had them bloom this early before. I don't know why but it worries me.
I've pulled 4 nasties so far in my main growing spaces. They can be thugs when they are happy.
