He used a lot during Mk1. But this is not him, for sure. Not his style, not his phrasing, not his tecnique, not his tone. And the band is not Purple, for sure, the drummer is awful

He would use a wah on recordings for certain notes to give them definition. Listen to smoke on the water solo, you can hear one on there.
